In the heart of the Gaioh village Shin lived on the 9th floor of a small apartment, housed by other citizens on different floors. Some times Shin will go top of the roof to practice his capoeira or during the night just gaze up at the stars. Inside the house was two bedrooms equipped with two bathrooms of there own, there is a small kitchen with a little table were Shin would eat or do some cooking, in the living room was a couch for either sleeping on or just sitting in.

Shin climbed the nine flights of stairs leading his father to his apartment. When he got to the door he didn't see any notices stating "Rent due" so that was a good sign. Shin reached into his pocket and pulled out his keys and opened the door. As he entered, everything was left as it was from the last time he set foot into his apartment.
"Ah..so this is your apartment...it looks nice Bohacha.." Curisco said as he looked around the area.
Shin opened the window and climbed out of it, stepping onto the fire escape and walked all the way to the top until he was on the roof. Shin motioned his father to fallow him and he did.
"Ah this looks like a nice space to practice Capoeira huh Bohacha?"
Shin was sitting in the center of the roof in an Indian style fashion. he was curious to find out why his father kept calling him "Bohacha" witch literally translates to "Rubber" in Portuguese "Why do you keep calling me that?
"Ho ho ho! Its your Capoeira nick name! I kicked you so hard that you bounced across the ground a good 10 feet like a rubber ball..hehehehe!"
Shin couldn't help but lough at that, it was somewhat funny. Curisco's laughter came to a halt when he had just notice the bandages wrapped around Shins Arms. He had a stern look on his face as he questioned Shin.
"What Happen to your arms...Bohacha?"
"Oh I got burned during my Chunin fight against a kid name Yamado, but it was technically my fought, because I decided to entrap him in a field of bomb tags in an attempt to make him give me the match. But everything does not go as planned." Shin said all of that nonchalantly like it did not even matter that he could have died. But that was just how shin was, a guy that has an unusual benevolent attitude.
Curisco Scratched his head and was of course lost and didn't really understand what Shin was saying. His response was: " Yama'..who... and chuni' what?
Shin faced palmed himself and rose his head up and spoke. "I had to compete for the next rank but I lost.."
"Oooh I see what ya talking about now. Well I am tired, I had a long trip traveling here so I am gonna go get some sleep." He said as he yawned and headed back to the latter and climbed back down to shins window and found the nearest bed and crashed on it.
Shin also decided to take a little nap as well. So he followed his father and crashed on his own bed in the next room.

It was late in the afternoon and Shin was busy practicing his Capoeria Techniques. Most of his movements were sloppy. He had power but he was lacking in control. After doing one last sequence of moves Shin dropped to both of his knees with both hands planted on the ground trying to catch his breath. Shin clenched his fist and slammed it on the ground, he was not satisfied at his current skill level.
"Heh..heh...heh.."
After a moment Shin regained his composer ready to get back to training until he herd a voice, and when he turned around it was his father Curisco. "Oh yeah I forgot to tell that your two cousins are also coming to visit you in the spring. Hehehehe.
Shins eyes went wide and he turned his head towards his father. "Oh, them.." Shin shrugged it off and continued his training.
His father turned his back and climbed back down the fire escape, he had a unsettling smirk on his face. What Could he be up to?

Weeks have passed and Shin was standing outside of his door with a few bags in his hands, he had just returned from the local market to pick up some food for him and his father. He pulled the keys out of his pocket and opened his door to see his father doing one handed push ups. "Hey dad I bought some food. I got all the stuff you told me to"
"...598...599....600...!" Curisco stood up from his position and brought the food in the kitchen and began to work his wonderful skills in cooking. "Ok this is good. Dinner will be served around seven.
Shin nodded and headed towards the door. "I'm heading out for a while I be back by dinner time" With that said shin left.

Shin had returned at 7:00 clock sharp and Curisco had everything prepared tonight they were having Moqueca, the Brazilian Bahian dinner. Moqueca is a traditional Brazilian seafood stew. It basically consists of fish, onions, garlic, tomatoes, cilantro, chili pepper ) and additional ingredients. It is cooked slowly, with no water added.
"Ahhhhhh, what a wonderful smell....what are we having?" Shin asked.
"my countries national cuisine and drinks that I have prepared for father and son are Moqueca seafood stew with Caipirinha drinks. Now come and sit down with me and eat."
Shin took a seat by the table sitting the on the opposite side of his father and began chowing down. "Mmmmm this taste so good!
"Haha I am glad you like it..."

It was the 12 in the afternoon, and Shin was still sleep, he is usually up early in the morning but he had a hang over drinking Caipirinha's. The light from the window beamed in his face and that is what woke him up. "Ah, my aching head." Shin hopped from out of his bed, his locks were a fuzzy mess and tangled up from tossing and turning in the bed. Shin headed to the bathroom and 20 minutes later he came out of the bathroom a new looking man but he had that same soar look on his face, he was indeed still hanged over.
Curisico was no where to be found but if shin could guest he is probably training on the roof top. Shin opened the front door and walked down the stairs to the mail box and grabbed his mail. "Bill...bill...bill..and another bill...bi-" Shin paused for a moment when he was shuffling through his mail, he saw something that piqued his interest. It was a note from the Hanekage and the feudal lord. Shins eyes widen from reading over the well presented letter then a big wide tooth smile emerged from his mouth. "So I finally made Chunin after two years..Hahaha." Shin headed back up stairs and got dressed and begun his day.

Shin was sitting by his window looking down at the people who passed in the busy streets of Gaioh. He herd someone knocking at his door and he wondered who it could be. He hopped from his seat and walked towards the door and looked through the peep hole and Saw Kazuma. Shin opened the door releasing the fresh smell of incenses out into the hall way. He was wearing nothing but his white Abadas(capoeira pants), a red and black beaded necklace and matching wrist bracelets. "Hey Kazuma, what can I do for you?"

"Well heh, I've come back to the village and I have no place to stay. I was wondering if I could maybe stay with you for a while."
He spoke with one hand scratching his head as he always did when he was nervous.

"Beleza! I need help paying the rent any way hahaha!" Shin opened his door wider and guided Kazuma through his spacious apartment. He had A few Atatbauqe drums and Pandeiros scatter through out the living room. Right above the TV on the wall was a big noticeable picture of Mestre Bimba, the creator of Capoeira Regional. Shin pointed to the door across from his room. "That's your room, it has its own bathroom and all that neat stuff."
