Aaah... Nothing like the smell of freshly killed bird in the morning. Nsundu nibbled absently on a fragile bone, brown eyes staring out across the Pridelands. It had been quite a while since she'd prowled these borders. The last time she'd run into Saffer – better known as Safuma but Nsundu never used proper names – and had a nice little chit-chat with the young cub. The brown juvenile remembered the conversation fairly well, mainly because the natural justice had been upset. Saffer had not been getting what she rightfully deserved and Nsundu had given her friend the best pep talk she could think up.
But it had been a while since then, and Nsundu had to admit that she was curious. Had anything changed since their last meeting? Had the pep talk worked? The young lioness had no idea, and that was partially the reason she'd returned to these borders. The other reason, to be quite honest, was the large amount of birds that flocked here. It was lunch plus a check up on a friend. You just can't pass up a deal like that.

It had taken Kaikura a few days to recover from his last...mishap. It seemed he couldn't interact with anyone without getting weaker, due to that stupid goddess's curse. So he had avoided his pridemates since then. It was surprisingly easy, since he had never been very social to begin with. He was loping near the border, since fewer individuals drifted this far. He was keeping active in an attempt to get his strength back up. He refused to believe that his efforts were completely useless against the curse. Had it not been for how ill he got the other day, he wouldn't have believed in the curse at all.

Nsundu paused for a moment to scout around, brown eyes searching for any sign of life. It seemed that Safuma hadn't been wandering, or at least she wasn't today. The young lioness hadn't found her along the border lost in her thoughts like their first meeting. It wasn't surprising, though. You can't expect your friends to just know when you've arrived. Not to mention Nsundu wasn't part of Safuma's pride, so it wasn't as though they could arrange a meeting. Well, the next best thing would be to find someone else and see if they had seen Safuma.
She got up with a small stretch before setting off in search of a Pridelander. No doubt someone had to be on border patrol. About a good distance away from the remains of her meal, Nsundu spotted a lion in the distance. Judging by the ruff of fur, it was a male. Sigh. Well, beggars can't be choosers and he might be the only lion she'd see all day. She would have to ask him.
Nsundu begrudgingly picked up her pace to meet him, hoping he'd see her coming towards him and stop. The last thing she needed was to have to chase him down to get answers. That would not be a good addition to her morning.
"Hey you! You know a Safuma who lives 'round here?"
