Just recycling one of my old threads to make a new topic...or an old one, who knows?

Anyway, I'd like to discuss my and your favorite Relena pairings please.

Rules:

No yuri pairings, straight only
No bashing Relena
If you dislike Relena, then don't post...this isn't to talk about whether you like her or not, it's to talk about your favorite straight Relena pairings.
This isn't limited to romance, you can talk about friendship or enemyship pairings (enemies with guys, not females.)
Don't romantically pair Relena with Milliardo >>;.

Me personally, I used to prefer Relena and Heero, I think, then it turned into Relena and Duo.

Then I liked them both...but now I'm more into friendships than anything.

So I prefer Duo and Relena as a friendship pairing and Relena and Quatre as a friendship pairing.

Heero and Relena would probably be the most likely actual romantic pairing.

And I can picture Relena and Treize being enemies as well as Relena and Wufei being enemies.

I honestly can't see her with any of the guys from the show OTHER than Heero...out of the other four, the only one she had any extended contact with was Quatre, and they seemed more friendly than anything else. Besides, as I've pointed out in the past, there are problems with each one.

Duo - Recognizes that Relena likes Heero, and that Heero probably likes her back. I bet he wouldn't start a relationship with her because it'd feel like betraying a friendship.
Trowa - People seem to think this is a great idea, but if it's initiated by Relena then there are strong implications that she's only doing it because Trowa is similar to Heero and she's acting out of subconscious desires rather than actual romantic interest.
Quatre - He seems to respect Relena as an important person too much to see her in any romantic light. That may sound strange, but it's the best way I can put it at the moment.
Wu Fei - They say opposites attract, but at this point it's definitely not true. These two would have to work on getting to at least liking one another before they do anything about romance, and I'm pretty sure that would be an uphill battle.

Ahem, forgive me for reviving a month old thread here, but I really wanted to put in my input.

Preventer, I agree with you on almost everything here but, the opinion on Quatre. Personally I could see Relena and Quatre developing a very strong bond were anything to happen to Heero... I say that part only because Heero and Relena are my absolute first choice for a straight pairing with Relena. The two of them have a very strong bond and I can see it clearly developing into love later on.
However, when it comes to straight pairings, Quatre is next on the list for me. I have always seen him harbouring a bit of a crush on her myself. I mean okay you see that as a deep amount of respect, but I kinda see a little more in it, I think he really likes her. In fact, I think part of the only reason Quatre wouldn't act upon it is because: a) he's shy, and b) he knows Heero has feelings for her and she has feelings for Heero and doesn't want to get in the way of that.
Now, if I had to pic a third liking for a straight partnering for Relena... I could get away with Duo... but only under VERY special circumstances... like... basically if Heero and Hilde weren't in the picture sweatdrop In the beginning though he calls her "Good lookin'" and laughs good naturedly. However realistically speaking, I don't think Duo and Relena would be anything more than close friends.

for me i love her with Quatre. i don't know why, but i seem to be drawn to that pairing.
