The duo were traveling through the lands, the little black hare demanding that they reach the crater. Amaterasu was unsure as to why her annoying companion was so adamant on them reaching that area, but she decided to not question him. Not until they reached the crater, anyway.

"Ammy! Ammy, you're going the wrong way!" the hare cried, jumping all around the white wild dog's feet. Ammy gritted her teeth, surpressing the urge to kick him away. She didn't know why she kept him around, perhaps for kicks? Yes, for literal kicks, maybe.

The duo were lost, and the incessant chatter from the hare was getting on Amaterasu's nerves. She released a deep sigh before padding over to a tree, wanting to take a break. Ignoring the continued bouncing from Issun, she turned, her black-tipped tail swishing behind her, determined to have her break, whether Issun would stand for it or not.

That damn bunny!

Gzifa didn't really hate anyone, no matter what they were. Lion, wild dog, whatever. But hares... Man, they annoyed her! She'd spent a good twenty minutes chasing one earlier only to have it escape! Argh!

Low to the ground, she continued forward, ears up. Where did it go...? Ah! She sunk down even lower, and observed the bouncing black and green fuzzball in front of her. This... didn't really seem like the one she'd been after early.

Oh well. A bunny was a bunny, right?

Somehow, she hadn't seen the other wild dog yet. She had picked up her scent, but figured she was just out hunting, too. After a deep breathe, she sprang forward toward the hare.

Issun's ears just caught the rustling of grass, and he peeked around with his bright green eyes to see...

...a huge rush of BROWN falling at him.

"Aaaah!" The hare screamed, just barely dodging the snap of jaws. He sprang away towards Ammy, screaming all the way. "I don't wanna diiie~!"

The wild dog turned her head around to see that Issun had gotten himself in quite a predicament. "Well, maybe if you stopped being so annoying, you wouldn't attract such unwanted attention." Her chest rose and fell with a sigh as she abandoned her tree to check and see that Issun hadn't hurtten himself, and to apologize to the other for his stupid habits.

Gzifa was plenty ready to keep her chase going until she caught the furball. Khima had given her a rabbit as a gift, and she was determined to get one to give back to him.

Maybe not this one? That other wild dog was closer than she thought. Gzifa stopped when she was in sight, tilting her head and resisting the urge to pout. "Oh, sorry, I didn't know you were hunting here."

"I'm not, I can assure you," the wild dog said as she approached, stopping just short of getting too close to the other. Respecting others space and all that jazz that she was taught. She shot a deathly glare at the hare, who hid behind her leg, only to keep peeking out at the brown wild dog that he had just barely managed to escape from. "He is merely my traveling compainion. I apologize if you thought different, and if he hurt you in any way."

Issun's ears perked up at Ammy's words, pleased that she didn't say anything bad about him. In his mind, this meant that she really did like him, and he was very pleased with himself. So pleased that he gave a little rub of the white wild dog's leg, just for Ammy to snatch it away from him. Hmph. He would keep thinking differently, any day. Ammy needed him, and he'd be safe from anyone with her protection.

She wasn't? Then what was she...? Wait, wait! Was that thing hiding behind her?! Gzifa wondered if she'd slept in that morning longer than estimated, and in reality had slept for years, and in those years the world had changed to where this was normal.

"You're traveling...with a bunny?" she asked slowly, obviously confused.

"Regretibly," the dog remarked, giving a little glare at the hare. She hoped that he wouldn't just latch onto her again, she wasn't a bit fan of that. Sitting on her back, sure, but the cutesy snuggle thing was a bit too much for her.

Issun was peeking out a little more shyly this time, hoping that Ammy would just...turn on him. She wouldn't, would she? No! She needed him, and she would admit it! Because he was just that awesome.

The wild dog's eyes switched back to the brown fellow dog in front of her. "He's more like a flea that I just can't get rid of."

"Hey!" Issun huffed at her, giving her a rare dirty look. How dare she!

"....well, he does help out a bit," she admitted, though not without a little grinding of her teeth. "He would be better if he just shut up and told me the right where to walk."

"I can't help it if your nose doesn't work well!" The hare remarked, stuck his tongue out at her, and dodged a kick to his side from the dog.

Each their own, right? Gzifa was very much in a mindset like that. Individual cases were just that--individual. This strong quirk she had was developed from having so many siblings and being clumped in with them, no doubt, but Gzifa didn't care why she had it. It was a fair way to think, wasn't it?

Even if traveling with bunnies was really strange!

"Oh, okay," she chirped, accepting it with just that. She trotted back to the rabbit, nuzzling him this time, which was certainly more pleasent than biting him in half. "Nice to meet you both, then! I'm Gzifa!"

What a strange pair. What were they going on about? "Your nose doesn't work?"

Amaterasu was jsut about to give a little retort about her 'broken nose', whe Issum instead jumped onto her back and crawled up on her head, quite quickly subdueing the wild dog for a time as she tried to recover from this sudden embarassment.

"I'm Issun! And this here is Amaterasu, but you're free to call her Ammy!" the hare said, introducting the two of them in a rush of words. He didn't mind the nuzzle by the brown wild dog, this Gzifa, but he decided a long time ago that he liked his Ammy much better.

The wild dog tossed her head back with a growl, knocking the hare back onto her shoulders where he should stay. Maybe it was cute when he crawled on her head when he was just a baby, but she sure didn't like him doing now that he was fully grown. A bit of a shirmp or not, he just didn't fit. "Amaterasu, please," she stated, overruling the informal nickname that Issun always called her. "Pleasure, Gzifa."

Ama...te... What?

"I'm not sure I can say that," Gzifa's thoughtful voice sounded. The way she looked at the sky was suggesting she was more thinking to herself outloud than informing Ama..te... Informing this other wild dog of it.

Besides, Ammy was cute. Really cute. "I think Ammy is a good name!" Pretty soon, she was going to need a lot of good names... The sight of such a peppy female sighing so heavily, as if the entire world was weighing down on her, was one to behold.

Her name was too difficult? That was a first for the dog, but she wasn't going to demean Gzifa if she couldn't speak it properly. "Alright, Ammy is fine." Well, it wasn't really fine with her, but she would put up with it. Besides, it might only last for a little while.

Issun recovered from his insulting dump off of Ammy's head, sulking for a moment while he decided how to get back at her. He couldn't think of anything for the moment, so instead he decided to drop it and peek over her head. If he was careful she wouldn't do anything meant to him. His ears swayed above him, picking up every bit of talk as he could. He just loooved to get in the middle of any sort of talking going on. "Ammy is a good name!"

Amaterasu ignored him, and kept her attention with Gzifa. "I apologize about Issun earlier, again. Is there a way I could perhaps make it up to you...? She wasn't sure if Gzifa was hunting or what, but she did owe her for not continuing to go after Issun.
PostPosted: Sun Aug 12, 2007 2:08 pm

"Ah, no! It's okay!" Gzifa assured her. It would be silly for her to owe her something in exchange for not letting her eat one of her friends, wouldn't it? She was sure not even she would be friendly to someone who tried to eat Khima and Mati.

--Ah! Khima! She still would have to find him some present. If she ever saw him again. She had to find him first, still determined he wouldn't have just picked up and left her. With...

She couldn't even think the word 'puppies' yet, it'd be forever before she could say it.

Of course, if anyone had asked what was wrong, she'd have said 'nothing' and then still looked upset, which had the potential to very easily become very annoying.

Amaterasu eyed Gzifa curiously, surprised that she wouldn't take her up on her offer. She thought that it was required, but obviously this other dog acted like it really wasn't a troublesome bother. Well, she wasn't going to press the issue, so instead she offered an apologetic bow.

"Alright, if you so wish. The offer shall stand until I repay Issun's debt to you, though. I hope that's fine with you, though, as well..?"

Issun chirped up in the back, stumbling over Ammy's shoulder to land in a heap of limbs onto the ground. "Hey! Hey, Ammy, don't volunteer yourself for something that...wait, that's a good idea." Obviously the hare had second thoughts on indebting himself to a predatory creature, no matter how nice she might be acting now. What if she turned on him? Yes, best to stay here. "Ammy's good at paying off her debts, yes yes."

"You really don't have to do that." Gzifa laughed sheepishly. It still didn't make any sense to her! 'Sorry I didn't let you kill my best friend, I owe you one!' What?

She watched the rabbit with a comical face. She wasn't sure she would ever be able to eat another one after this. Gzifa made sure not to talk to prey beasts, because she was sure that would happen and she'd end up chewing on rocks or something until she starved to death.

Her ears twitched as his ramblings. "Hmm... Well, there may be something later."

You know, if she reallyreally insisted.

"Oh?" The wild dog was curious, but moreso curious in the way she mentioned it. Her ears perked up, facing towards the other now, but otherwise she didn't move.

Little else could be said about her companion though.

Issun picked up that he shouldn't say anything else from Ammy, and so he did his best to hold still. Holding really still was something that you didn't ask from the hare though, and so he began to wiggle a bit, just enough to releave his nerves. Ammy sure owed him after this!
