Actually, that episode of Scrubs premered before House even aired. A friend of mine made a point to show me how House was what was copied from that one episode.
Are you trying to say that the makers of House watched that one episode and got from it the name of a character, some character flaws/aspects, and even the style of the "Eureka! Moment" that leads to the solution of the mystery? Because, unless you're saying that jokingly, that's just ridiculous.
Scrubs Episode "My House" premiered on 4 January 2007
"House, MD" premiered on 16 November 2004.
"House" is also alluded to in other episodes of Scrubs, such as when Dr. Kelso says to Dr. Cox, "You're so edgy and cantankerous. You're like House without the limp." in the episode 'My New Suit'.
Although the idea of the "Rude/brutally honest Doctor" wasn't original when House came along ("Becker", Dr. Cox from "Scrubs"),
House, MD is the first to take the idea to the extreme, and put it in a dramatic setting rather than a sitcom/comedy. People can say House was inspired by various shows, plot-lines, and stories all they want, but the fact is that House is entirely original and if it wasn't, I'm sure the lawsuits would be flying right now.
There's no way a show like House could be that famous, that popular, win that many awards,
and be a copycat idea from some other show and not be sued by now.
