Sumu skittered across the desert cursing her black pelt and panting heavily as she moved. The white fur of her toes covered almost completely in dust and sand. Grumbling her heart sank as she looked out towards—more sand. This was going to be ridiculous she could feel it, there was never going to be an ending and on top of that there would never be another living creature inside any of this. Sumu had not had water for a day or so and she felt like her insides were slowly boiling.
“Gods this will never end!” she growled and suppressed a roar so she would not alert anyone nearby to her surroundings. Sumu was running from her pack of sisters, they had murdered her mother and father and she was sure, although she had no substantial proof , that they were going to come after her. Her red eyes darted around as if they would actually be around here, “They’re gone, Sumu, they’re gone.” She babbled.

Motobi'ata was talking a casual walk around the lands by herself, to think about the recent events on her mind. A scolding from her mother, lots of time to make friends with the Firekin she managed to rescue. And a little fight with a cub. Rolling her eyes, she padded along, until she spotted a black figure. What on earth was a black lion doing out in the desert? It was like a death sentence. Though, it wouldn't hurt to feel sorry for the creature and ask why they were around the Firekin's boarder.
And so, she slowly made her way towards the lioness. As she approached, she questioned her. "Any reason that your trespassing, lioness?" She came closer, a blank look in her eyes.

Sumu flinch in fear as she heard the other lioness' words and jumped looking in the direction of the other lioness. "Last time I looked I was n free man's land, I guess I am mistaken," she answered cooly. Was this lioness a threat? Obviously she was much larger than Sumu, and to Sumu size was everything. She stood as an adult shorter than the average rogue adolescent female. Fear mounted inside of her and rose to her throat.
"Am I in trouble for trespassing?" She snickered forcing it to seem like a joke. Her response to fear was sarcasm.

"Of course not. I have no problem with trespassers. I just don't want you to get into trouble, thats all. My Uncle Kimeti doesn't appreciate them very much. And he is one hell of a King. So, what brings you to the Motoujamii, exactly? Lost your way?" She continued to question the lioness, making sure she was harmless and well, wouldn't bring trouble with her. Though, as she cackled, Moto raised a brow. "... do you have a problem?"

Sumu laughed loudly, "Problem, no, no problem. I'm going to assume then that I should leave?" She didn't feel like leaving, she felt like getting a drink, "I am Sumu, I'll leave once I get something to drink. Will you show me?" No one was going to tell her what to do, not now not ever. She was a free spirit and intended to be that way until the day she died. She'd spent enough of her life being tortured. Images of her sisters taunting her flahe before her eyes and she had to physically shake away their laughing faces from her.

"Ah no, your good. You don't have to leave. Though, good luck finding a drink. The only water supplies are near the boarder, on the other side. Though, if you'd like, I could lead you there. Its not very far ..." She looked in the direction with a smile. Hey, at least she wasn't a threat to the pride. Good, good. Now she just had to listen to what the lioness had to say aand then she could get out of here ...
She sighed heavily, as she padded towards it slowly. "If you want water, follow me."

"Oh, alright," she nodded and started following behind Moto slowly. She watched the larger lioness with admiration, wishing she was that large and could intimiate someone by sheer size.
"It is rude not to introduce yourself, you know. Especially when I told you my name. And you mean to tell me that other animals actually live around here? That is utterly impossible." She scoffed at the idea that anyone would be dumb enough to live in the middle of the desert, why would anyone want to see all of that sand?
She grimaced as she followed and looked around the desert, she hadn't seen any water?

She led the smaller lioness through the barren lands, only a few patches of grass were growing here and there, but besides that, the lands were nothing but grains of sand. "Oh, I apologize. My name is Motobi'ata. My father, brother to the King of our Pride named me."
Moto padded through the short grasses, and towards a small pool of water. As they came up to it, she also went down to it and lapped a few sips. Sand was not present here, as the grasses blocked the sands from entering the area.

"Pleassure to meet you," she answered quietly. Was this lioness very important to her lands? She acted as if she was important, were there many in her pride? Her father had taught her to analyze everything and that nothing was unimportant. This lioness was sweet but lived in a land that does not welcome strangers, how odd?
"Have you lived in this heat your entire life?"

"Thank you, Sumu." As she finished lapping up a few bit of water, she backed up and offered the lioness some for herself. She kept a wide smile on her maw, as she looked around the surroundings. She just loved the dunes.
"Actually, yes I have. I was born here, as were my parents, and their parents. We've all lived here for a very long time. I grew up learning about all the things are Pride stands for, but I just didn't like it very much ... Uncle is a very powerful lion."

Sumu stepped forward and bent her head down to take a sip of water her eyes never leaving Moto, she was not about to give a stranger the advantage over her, no matter how sweet or kind they were. She took a mouthful and her fatigue seemed to lessen imediately.
"You've said quite a few times that he is a great king, does he invoke fear into all of his people? What does this pride stand for?" she questioned, it seemed to Sumu that it was a status symbol to be related to the king..but Moto seemed to say this to provoke fear or ency inside of a stranger?
She bent again this time averting her eyes away from Moto, why was she being so critical? This lioness may have saved her life, she was too foolish to find water herself.

"We follow a single Goddess named Finar-si, the great Goddess of Change, who apparently changed our blood for the better. Yes, Uncle does invoke fear into his pride members. He is a very powerful lion, and well fought his own sister for the throne. He deserves it, though. He knows how to run the pride well, no matter how much I don't like his ways ..." She looked away, keeping a fair watch on the activity level in the area. If any other lion from the pride were to come this way, her new friend would be caught for sure.
She could see her watching her, and smiled. "Don't need to worry about me. I could never hurt a single soul. My father taught me what is right. If you facing a true Firekin, you'd have much more to worry about. Honestly, I help out rouges all the time. If Uncle found out, though ... i'd probably be banished."

"I see, I don't know anything about blood or gods, I do not attach myself to my family's blood. But, knowing that a king would fight his blood for a thrown seems awfully harsh," she commented and nodded curtly. She was becoming at ease with Moto and that was just find, it had been a long time since Sumu had felt kindness.
"Thank you very much, I was certain I would die of thirst. I do not want you harmed or banished for helping me, if you want you can show me the way around these lands...or point me in the right direction?" She was truly grateful for Moto's actions.

"Don't feel bad. I don't mind getting caught, as long as I help out a few lost lions here and there ..." She smiled once more and then padded off away from the pool and tall grasses, leading the lioness. "If you want to get away from the desert, just go over to the south and follow the grasslands. You'll get around them easily. Most lions do." She led Sumu back to the same exact location that the two had met at. Still not minding about if there were other Firekin in the area, she nodded.
"I'll be fine, really. I have yet to get caught."

Sumu did no replyto the others words and started to follow her and was about to protest, she had come this way, why would she want to go back? But of course if that was the only way out of the lands then she must retrace her stepsand head in a different direction somewhere along the line.
"I think..I can manage from here. I hope that you do not get caught, you seem to be someone a traveler would like to meet. If you ever leave the lands and need a friend or guide through any of the areas I know, donot hesitate to call, friend."
Going back meant the possiblity that her sisters could have already caught up and that they would see her..but facing an entire pride of powerful and large lions did not seem like an option.
