Please for god's sake, read this!

Scroll down, this post is outdated.

((So.. A friend wants me to write her something. I couldn't think of anything good stare So I've come down to using symbolism to get my point across. Now, this is a war, within the character's head. All the stuff in the start is nothing, and I'm trying to think of something to put in for the battle scene.. I'm trying to point out that everything he is doing is causing a war, and he's confused confused about the whole thing. It may or may not be the most original idea, but it my idea nonetheless.

Any suggestions?))

A war, within a war.

The area was barren. Thousands of bodies lay strewn about. The roar of the men was heard for miles. All screaming over something they thought was worthwhile. There were no buildings in sight, just a hillside that was once shining in the light.

Rising from the ashes, was the war was finally done? The blood-stained male stood, struggling to keep his own balance. His clothing was tattered, down to mere pants. Nothing more. Battle scars were present all over his body, some new, mostly old.

Athren gazed onto the horizon, seeing the battle still raging. He fought to stagger himself towards the war, knowing very well he wouldn't survive. Dragging the heavy blade was hard enough, spare his wounds.

Athren kept moving towards the battle, wanting to finish it. Wanting to finally die a peaceful death, a death worthly of the kings. A few of the opposing army noticed the staggering male, and thought of it as an easy kill. They charged.

Would Athren survive?
(start battle scene)
. . .
. . .
. . .
(end battle scene)

(potential ending line)

Finally, the last blow that would surely end it all struck him came. Light flooded into his eyes and he awoke, face in pillow...

(end of teh line, yo)

He kept moving towards the battle, wanting to finish it. Wanting to finally die a peaceful death, a death worthly of the kings. Two of the opposing army noticed the staggering male, and thought of it as an easy kill. They charged.

Would Athren survive?

The two rushing males screamed some obscure battle cry. Rushing to slay the beaten warrior. The battered warrior slew the first warrior, as if he was nothing. For being so wartorn, he moved quite agile.

The other rushing warrior paused, confused as to how his fellow warrior was just slain so easily. Pushing these thoughts aside, he cursed his enemy under his breath. Charging just as blindly as his friend had done before him.

He swung his blade high, Athren blocked the blade that could have slain him. He backed off slightly, then rushed again for a waist-hig slice. Yet Athren blocked again, he was wearing down. And the enemy knew it.

He swung his blade many times, not one made it through. The warrior was furious now, how was he blocking his attacks? It took him a moment, and he finally realized Athren was limping on his right leg. All of his attacks were with his left arm. Maybe he could exploit this.

The warrior charged past Athren's right side, holding his blade as if to block the attack he knew was coming. Athren was slow to turn, limping on his leg slowed him down a lot more than he thought.

He turned, finally, the last blow that would surely end it all struck him came.. He tried to block, but was too slow to bringing his own blade up.

Light flooded into his eyes and he awoke, face in pillow...

It was all a dream...?
