SJ Members Han Kyung, Choi Siwon Arrives at Changsha; Han Kyung has Ring on Ring Finger
On Aug 8, two members from the boy band SUPER JUNIOR, HAN KYUNG and CHOI SIWON (Siwon), arrived to Changsha. Before press interviews began, they stepped in a room and put on make-up for about fifteen minutes. They then stormed into the restroom surrounded by over 100 people. After much chaos, the two boys finally are prepared to meet the Chinese media.
HAN KYUNG: "I am not married, my hand was too fat."Similar to many artists, Han Kyung enjoys wearing accessories. A reporter discovered that Han Kyung wore a silver ring on his ring finger, and then immediately asked Han Kyung if he has plans for marriage. Han Kyung laughed and stuck out his right hand, showing the ring on that finger as well. Both rings were the same. He explained, "There really is no reason. Please don't misunderstand. I really like them, so I've been wearing it a lot lately. It has been a year. I wear my rings on my ring finger because my hand is too fat, only my ring finger is thin enough." However, when Han Kyung was explaining that he was still single, Siwon, who was standing beside him, giggled at Han Kyung while glancing at him. Siwon seemed to be enjoying the sight.
Recently, there has been news that Han Kyung's mother used her son's popularity to open a Jiaozi restaurant in Beijing. Han Kyung explained that whenever he returns to China most of the functions will be held in Beijing; his mother just wanted to have chances to be with him more. However Han Kyung said, "I sacrificed a lot, and I'm also more mature now. But I never changed; I am the same old self even after I debuted. My friends were the same; my parents were also the same."
SIWON: "There are many Chinese people, SJ really wants to debut in China."From the film,
A Battle of Wits, Siwon is not a newface anymore in front of the Chinese audience. When thinking back to 1999, when he first started high school, it was also the first time where he experienced the society, and feels that everything is still fresh and anew.
Because of the language barrier, Siwon seemed much more "gentleman" than Han Kyung at the press conference. Although Siwon could not understand the majority of the questions being asked, he still kept a smile on his face, causing the girls present at the conference to feel moved. Siwon also said humorously, "The biggest benefit for Super Junior to be successful in China is because we have a lot of people." He laughed, "China has many talented artists, but we have a lot of people and each of us has a different style. With the each of us performing our own style we already have thirteen different performances. I believe this more refreshing for the Chinese audience." Siwon revealed that he is currently filming a Korean drama and he hopes that in the future he will be able to work with a Chinese director again. He said, "No matter who he is - if there's a chance, I will be very happy to work with him."
When approaching the topic about Han Kyung's Korean, Siwon could not control himself and began to boast him. "He's really suave when he speaks Chinese, but when he speaks Korean he's very cute."
Han Kyung is More Popular Than SiwonYesterday was Han Kyung's third visit to Changsha. Over 7000 fans welcomed the two SJ members at the airport. However, over 70% of the crowd were Han Kyung's fans. Although Siwon is also extremely popular, his popularity was no match for his Chinese friend.
KBS
...A Chinese satellite TV station, marking the show's tenth anniversary, invited the two Korean singers for a rare full hour appearance.
During the recording on Wednesday, the two showed a joint dance along with Hankyung's hip hop and traditional dances and a taekwondo demonstration by Siwon, to the applause of 800 audience members.
Tickets to the show's recording, randomly given out by drawing, were said to be sold for as much as 250,000 won.
The program will air nationwide on Aug. 18.
