Bolting through the long grass outside the pound Castle hopped around, chasing after butterflies. Made another leap into the air at a pretty monarch, but missed and slammed headlong into a tree.

It was another nice day out, and as usual, Tsumiko was under a large tree reading a book. It wasn't uncommon for her to read through 2 novels in a day, considering how much free time she had on her hands, especially when she was enjoying the nice weather.

With a quick shake of his head to get the bark out of his fur, Castle clambered back up to his feet and rubbed at one of his ears, that managed to get smashed between his head and the tree. Dejected at missing catching any of the pretty butterflies, he started back to the pound to find something else to do. Failed to make it more then half a dozen steps before another butterfly shot straight past his nose and over some nearby bushes, and without thinking, he lunged after it, missing once again. Unfortunately instead of catching the butterfly, or another tree to the head, he managed to fly straight over the bushes, and faceplanted into the dirt on the other side.

Tsumiko took a short glance up from her book, thinking she may have heard something. Totally dismissing it, she put all of her concentration back into the book reading, since it was almost impossible to stop reading it. Who would want to put it down anyways? After all, the books in the Twilight series put Harry Potter to shame when they sold more copies than HP on the first day it was out.

Castle sat up and spit the dirt out of his mouth. Ears snapped up and he suddenly sniffed the air, smelling another wayward nearby. Grinning, he crouched down into a hunting pose and stalked the scent, tracking it to a nearby tree. Hides on the other side of the tree for a moment, his tail wagging furiously, before whipping himself around the trunk, and straight into the lap of, and ontop of the book being held by, the older vixen.

When Tsumiko was about to flip the page, she was suddenly attacked. Letting out a gasp of shock, she accidentally tore the page out of the book. It took her a minute to take in what just happened. When she composed herself, she glared down at the young pup in her lap.
"May I help you?" She spat, venom dripping in her voice. This kid was the cause of her ripping out a page in her book. It was ruined, just when it was getting good, too.

Castle looked up at the pretty fox who's lap he occupied with a sheepish grin. "Hi there! You're pretty!" He chirped, totally missing the warning signs she was giving off. "What are you doing out here? I'm hunting butterflies!"

"Do you have any idea what you just made me do, you...you ignorant imbecile?!" She yelled. This nice day was becoming rotten.

Blinking up at the irritated fox, Castle managed to get his first hint that he was in trouble. "Er...? I didn't make you do anything... I don't think... I mean... I don't think anyway... What I do?" He babbled, looking up at the irate fox with his ears folded back against his head nervously.

If looks could kill, the pup before her would be dead. She was giving him the iciest glare she could muster.
"You practically attacked me, while I was reading, and caused me to rip a page off in my book. Do you know how good this book was getting? Ugh, I want to strangle you!"

Castle whines up at the older Wayward, intimidated by the icy glare and cold behavior. "I didn't attack you, I pounced you... You know, like... To play... I'm sorry about your book... " The pup rolled out of the vixen's lap and sat on the ground, hanging his head and looking dejected, on the verge of tears.

Tsukimo sighed and glanced at the pup at her side.
"I guess, it's...okay. Just be careful when you, er...pounce someone." She said, she couldn't stay mad at him for long.

Castle peered up at the vixen hopefully. "I'll be more careful from now on! You... Aren't mad at me then...?"
Once it was obvious that he was no longer in any actual danger from the older fox, Castle returned to his normal high energy level and bounded up to his feet. "I... My name is Castle! What's yours pretty lady?" He yipped, ears up and tail wagging.

Bouncing on the tips of his paws, he yipped happily, "Oh, yay! Nice to meet you pretty lady! Come chase butterflies with me?" His entire body almost vibrating with happiness at the thought of having company in his quest to catch one of the winged creatures.
