that's actually a pretty hard question.
I think the best would have to be Yoh or Hao. Even if there's no exact best, they get pretty close to it.
Also, Horo and Ren are really good. Why do you ask?

Power-wise, I'd say either Hao, Yoh, or Chocolove (not entirely sure, we haven't actually seen Chocolove fight since the end of the manga, but he is the strongest of the 5 legendary/elemental warriors, so I s'pose he's worth consideration)
as far as people I like... well, actually, it kinda fluctuates for me, so I couldn't say.
