[Hopefully this is allowed, I saw on the Home page of the Guild that you can post about Spin-offs, so here we go]
So, Torchwood is a lovely spin-off from Doctor Who, except its a lot more adult and stuff.
What did you think of the first series?
What do you think will happen in the second series?

Yep, Torchwood is definitely an allowable topic. XD
I actually got into Doctor Who through Torchwood. o_O
I liked the first series well enough. They Keep Killing Suzie was a pretty great episode, I thought. And so was Countrycide. : D Some of the episodes were pretty awful, though. It's not a GREAT series, but it's entertaining, and that's what it's supposed to be, I guess. XD
I really don't like Owen. He looks like a damn frog! XD He gets a lot of grief in this fanfiction I'm writing with a friend... It's a crossover between Torchwood and House and Owen and Foreman keep having unfortunate things happen to them, like getting stuck in the trunk of a car. @_@
I don't even write fanfiction, except for that. It's weird. XD

Iv grown up watchin Dr Who. Torchwood I like cos of Captain, he's so cool, sexy, sarcastic and funny. I love the actor John Barrowman.

Capt Jack just plain rox! He's a hotty and John Barrowman is an awesome actor. mrgreen
The show itself is pretty good. I've heard that it'll be airing on BBC America soon. Course I also heard it'll be airing late nights on NBC.
As for season/series 2 Considering what happened at the end of the current season of Doctor Who, I'd like to see what the team was doing during those eps since they WERE mentioned.

I personally love Torchwood. My favourite episodes are They keep Killing Susie and Countrycide. They were really well written and just brilliant to watch. Countrycide scared the hell out of me though eek

They're still airing it where I live. It used to be on at 9.40pm but apparently they're moving it to midnight because of lack of viewers.(As if that's going to get any more viewers.)
I like jack but he is just way too American. You sort of get used to it but I like him better in Doctor Who rather than Torchwood. I though I like Toshiko but then they just keep doing weird things to her and making the others like Owen (Bleh xp ) not like her that much. So I'm undecided.

Aeriths_Rose I like jack but he is just way too American. It's funny... people say he's too American...but he was born in Scotland! Moved to America when he was 8 and got his U.S citizenship when he was 18. Ironic that they chose a straight guy over a gay guy to play Will. razz

I've only seen the first episode of Torchwood. But so far, I'm enjoying it. Its great to see Jack again. biggrin
I love the fact that is darker, more adult. It gives it a... reality all its own.

I personally hope they've cut out some of the gratuitous sex scenes.. like in episode two. >< But...if they cut out all the sex, there'd be no Torchwood. That's all they do...shag and fight.
