Does anybody have any tips on how to beat the cooking festival? I've entered lots of times, but always lost!

I've won 2 times in a row now. I can help. When you find out the theme of the food, go back home and add a little more ingrediants to make it better. This is what I used to win:
[ ] - Optional ingrediants
Apple Pie: Apple + (any size) Egg + Butter + Flour + Knife + Pot + Rolling Pin + Oven + Sugar + [SUGDW Apple + HMSGB Apple + AEPFE Apple + Honey]
Jam Bun: (Apple Jam/ Strawberry Jam/ Grape Jam) + Bread + [Sugar]
~*~
For the Jam Bun, make all three jams and use them with the sugar. When Gourmet tries your food, he may switch to a scene where he's eating on a mountain. That means you have a pretty good chance of winning. If he's eating it while surrounded by the Universe, then you'll definetly win.

Oh, I thought I should mention that in the noodle cooking contest, some of the noodle dishes aren't counted as noodle dishes, and if you submit them, you'll be disqualified! I think Tempura Noodles is one of the not-counted noodle dishes. I've been testing them to find out which ones don't count, so I'll get back to you on that!

No, I think Tempura Noodles is counted. Buckwheat Noodles and Friend Noodles #2 (the lighter color one) aren't counted as noodles. I got disqualified for them once. XD

It also helps to put extra ingredients. If your dish is plain you wont win. Trust me..I entered with curry bread(Plain) and lost to Doug with the same thing!! I reloaded again( ninja ) Updated my dish a bit by adding vegetables and seasonings and I won! It sucks that you dont win anything though.

I kind of wish that they gave another Power Berry if you won. It would have been useful...

Maiden of Night No, I think Tempura Noodles is counted. Buckwheat Noodles and Friend Noodles #2 (the lighter color one) aren't counted as noodles. I got disqualified for them once. XD I'm certain one of the Tempure noodles dishes doesn't work because I got disqualified for it... Urgh, I gotta go play my game more, but there's no time with school!
