Which games coming out do you feel are being underhyped and deserve more? I think Metroid Prime 3 deserves more hype than it getting....

What games do you feel deserve more hype than it's currently getting? (I'll shove this bat up your a** if you say Halo 3. mrgreen )

MySims, which EA has done next to nothing to hype up, even though it looks like loads of fun.

Mario Kart Wii. This game is a big thing for Nintendo fans. Online, motion controlled, Mario Kart on a home console. But aside from the less than minute showing at E3, Nintendo's done nothing. Let's get some hype going!

I dunno, can this thread cover past underhyped games like the overhyped thread does?

Sure. Why not? It creates good discussion.

Obviously the most underhyped game I can think off the bat that really, really deserved it was Beyond Good & Evil. I can't tell you why that game is good, it plays highly similar to any 3D Zelda game you've ever played. The thing is, the world and its characters just draw you in so much, and then you look at it as a complete different experience...

Other questionably underhyped games are Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse and Psychonauts. Psychonauts was created by a video game legend (the same genius responsible for all but one of the amazing Lucasarts point and click adventure games) and was easily had more character and intrigue than most first-person shooters that are million sellers on the Xbox. And Stubbs the Zombie was just freaking hilarious and for crying out loud, it was made by one of the creators of Halo. You'd think that would sell be great material to sell a game on.

Finally, the Oddworld is sorely unhyped in my opinion. Abe's Oddysee, Abe's Exodus, and Munch's Oddysee (I got an Xbox for this game) are instant classics in my opinion, and though Stranger's Wrath took the series in a different direction, there is absolutely no doubt that it was more innovative and an equally entertaining first person shooter to either Halos.

That's my thoughts off of the top of my head...

Viva Pinata DS won't be out until next year dude, and Microsoft didn't hype the version for their own console, what makes you think they'll really push the DS version? And Banjo-Kazooie 3 won't be out until at least next year (but knowing Rare, it probably won't be out until the Xbox 720 comes out...)

I don't remember any sort of television advertisment for Viva Pinata, especially in comparison to the amount of advertisment for Gears of War. I even watched the cartoon, and there was no message like "If you like the show, why not pick up the game? Viva Pinata, now only $30. Only on Xbox 360. Jump in!"

Maybe I;m watching different channels. G4, Spike, and CBS had Gears ads all the time.

MGS4, I believe it deserved a lot more hype than what it has right now. I'm not saying it's not hyped at all. But Killzone 2 got MORE hype confused I'm still confused about this. I've never played Killzone and I'm not going to be a fanboy with this, a lot of people have said Killzone sucked. I just think it shouldn't have gotten more hype than MGS4....and MGS4 should have gotten more applause than that....
