She was tired, annoyed, and sleepy, and hungry to boot. Her nightmares were returning, she barely got a decent night's rest anymore and she still felt like she was missing something, and that perhaps somewhere, someone was looking for her, somewhere. Sighing Ryu'Rage stepped through the tall grasses of the Prideland borders and slunk to the ground only to flop on her side and sigh.
The sun was starting to set, and she was so tired, everyone she knew was getting older, soon enough they would have families of their own, and they would forget about her. Sometimes she wished she could just move on, start the cycle of life over again, but it was impossible, forever would she be an adult, forever would she live this lonesome life.
At one time she remembered feeling loved, feeling like everything was okay...but that time was ripped from her also, and somewhere hidden away in shadows would be a reminder she wondered if it would escape.
She was alone, forever alone, and she hated it so much.

Shou was undeniably bored. His siblings were of playing, scheming or whatever they normally did but here he was. Alone and left behind. His tail flicked back and forth as he starred at the ground, shoulders hunched. Just because he didn't show them all the time didn't mean that he didn't have feelings.
Psssh. Siblings were nothing special. While he should've been deep within the den trying to go to sleep, this boy was on his feet and off beofre anyone could tell him to come back. So what if his siblings were being exclusive. He could find someone better and even more interesting than his little family.
Tan tipped paws kicked the dirt in great clouds as he trudged along, mumbling incoherently. It wasn't often that he talked to himself but this counted as a special occasion.
"Screw them..."

She thought she heard a voice but maybe she was just too tired, she rolled over in the grasses, and draped a wing over herself and closed her eyes, she felt so tired, so weak, her wings were spread out around and over her as if to hide herself away. Though something big and black was easy to spot in something so green.
Rage sighed and tried to close her eyes and keep them that way but every so often they would flick open and she doubted she would get sleep again tonight, or even a nap now.
Days were lonely, and she was tired...of everything.
When would things change?

In his mood, Shou wasn't aware of anything around him that wasn't right under his eyes. He normally tried to stay focused. Had to stay focused to become stronger but a momentary lapse was hard to avoid.
He was small ...enough to find his way through the grass without being seen, unless, of course, the other was looking intently. In the green, he didn't stand out as much. Paw after paw the cub grew closer to the form growing in the distance. Did he notice? Well, not exactly.
The monotony of the ground was much too distracting and the sound of his voice was muffling any other sense he could've had. It wasn't until he was nearly in the shadow of the figure that he noticed the true direction of his travels. The big black shape made him duck into the grass, frozen in what he denied was fear.
Maybe they wouldn't see him even though he was so close...

Rage let her eyes flicker open, bright silver in the sun, gleaming almost to the point of glowing, and she rolled over onto her back, exposing her legs that were somewhat sticking straight up as she pawed at nothingness for no particular reason. She remembered her sister and her having races that way, before she could fly, her sister would always let her win.
"Not meant to be like this..." he voice said softly, some part of a song she could not place, yet it was all too familiar. It wasn't suppose to be like this, she should be happy, though she was far, far from it

The sun warmed his back as he stayed as still as he could, watching the creature before him move. It was magnificent to say the least. He'd barely seen any of the adults around him let alone something like this.
Was this in the pride and he'd just not noticed throughout his adventures and whatnot? Of course not. Mother would've told him by now...right? But then it spoke and certainly not like the happy adults he'd witnessed on jaunts around the Pridelands. Something must've been wrong. Against all his mother's logic and reason, he moved a bit closer.
"What isn't?..."

"Everything..." she answered absent mindedly, opening her eyes once again to peer at the sky, then turn her head to have them fall on a smaller creature, much like herself, but wingless...he was a lucky one now wasn't he? "Ever feel lie nothing was ever right, that everything is wrong and you wished it could be fixed but it can't be? f so, welcome to my life, but then again, you seem to be so much younger then me, hopefully you haven' handled any of life's turmoil's yet, least I pray not..."
Such things for children to endure, it should never happen.
It should've never happened to her.
"What's your name?"

Shou hesitantly sat back on his haunches to get a better look. It had wings? Well, that was new. Even if this creature was large and frightening, she didn't seem at all like she wanted to attack him. Nothing seemed aggressive at all for some reason. Of course, his ears stayed back against his head and his shoulders hunched. Even though she seemed friendly, it didn't mean that he wasn't somewhat afraid.
He just starred, barely registering what she was saying. Bright red eyes stayed on her out of respect. Attention was something he sparred only on elders and strangers. He may have only understood half of what she said but that didn't mean he wouldn't listen. Shou was a decent listener.
"Ru Shou..." He looked up at her almost expectant that she would give him hers.

"Ru shou...interesting name," Ryu'Rage said almost hummingly as she rolled over for no apparent reason and sat herself up, her wings lad sprawled against her sides, she winced as she moved her neck, it was the aching again, her shoulders and neck, damn that fall, damn. Flicking her tail she peered at him, tilting her head, bright silver eyes fixated on him, was he afraid? No, no couldn't have that, not today.
"No, its alright, I'm not like that today, today the control is mine," she said, eyes trying to show a smile she could not physically show herself. Why couldn't she smile, why? So confusing.
"No need to be afraid of me today Ru, I swear it," she said with a confirming nod to try and reassure him. She didn't want others to be afraid of her, she didn't want that at all...not at all.

Shou's entire body tensed against his will at her movements. He wasn't used to "hanging out" with anyone but his sister. Being with Rage would certainly take a bit of getting used to. Red eyes fixed on her every movement almost sizing her up as an opponent rather than a stranger. His tail curled tightly around his haunches as he gazed at the goddess, transfixed by her presence and grandeur. It wasn't everyday that you ran into something do grand that was willing to be around something so insignificant and small.
The red cub couldn't quite gauge her emotions from her face. It was odd and made his brow raise in confusion. He wasn't good at conversations on his own. His sister was the one who normally forced him to speak or didn't mind his silence. His mind fumbled for something half decent to say but came up empty. All he could really do was stare and nod.
Well, this certainly wasn't going to be easy for him.

Ryu'Rage raised a brow at him, he didn't want to talk but he would sit there and stare at her? No way, she wasn't putting up with that, she hated when others stared at her, she believed they were saying taunting things in their minds about her, she hated it, hated it. Flicking her tail she stood up, took a step towards him, her eyes looking both frail and serious at once.
"What is it?" she asked, voice fraying from soft to serious, "I don't like it, I don't like it when others look at me, stare at me like that, others think things about me, I don't, like, it," she said gritting her teeth, silver eyes watching him.
And she took a step back, turned her head away.
She didn't want to hurt him.

He wanted to move but his paws stayed rooted to the ground with just a small flick of his tail. He didn't know what was wrong with her.She seemed so calm and seemingly collected a few moments before but now...it looked like she was in shambles. Apparently because of him no doubt.
Shou didn't like to hurt others...mentally at least. His ears pressed delicately back against his head, looking up at her apologetically.
"Sorry..." A ghost of a smile pulled at the corner of his maw. "I'm not so good at...conversations."

"Conversing is part of life...better to know that now then later, others might think being quiet as respectful, though many others might take it the wrong way, which I had," her voice was soft, almost rasped, so tired, she wanted to sleep, to eat, to be warm and have a home, Rage wished for so many things, but all seemed to evade her.
"So why are you alone out here all by your lonesome you should be with others, friends..family.."
Though she wondered if he had the afore mentioned...he had to, he was a mere child.

Shou starred at his paws sighing heavily at her words. He didn't mean to make anyone feel that way. I mean, why should he care either way? Once he was big and strong, it wouldn't matter how someone took his silence. If they took it wrong, they could challenge him if they wanted. But it felt different this time. Rage wasn't a male trying to show his strength against him.
This was someone who seemed tired and weak.
"I was...but they went off without me." His voice was small and hoarse as if it was the most words he'd ever said at one time. Red eyes danced over her form for a moment as he contemplated his next move.
"Are you...alright?"

"Well that wasn't very nice of them was it?" Ryu'Rage eyed him over, he seemed to be one of those cubs that wanted to be strong one day, prove themselves to everyone else, be strong and wise, from what she could tell, he would, perhaps he retained strength from his silence. She tried to keep her wings curled on her back, but as she sat up, trying to straighten her back, a few crackles could be heard...her joints were so terrible, and it was too hard to keep her wings on her back, so she let them be limp, the ends of her feathers touching the ground.
Her...why was he asking her if she was alright?
Why would anyone care about her anyway?
Her silver eyes just watched him for a moment, and she looked away, sighing, her voice soft and tender, "No...I'll never be..."
