i was very uh... "afrocentral" with my music back then. xD man, my eyes were opened. ( now a metalhead)

I wanted to play like Brad Delson! lol (Of Linkin Park fame.)
And then after an hour or two I mastered Linkin Park's entire back catalogue and moved on to Hendrix/Frusciante.

I wanted to play like B.B. King. Though metal was my whole introduction into music and such, I'll always love blues guitar.

I wanted to play like Matt bellamy (muse). and i still wanna play like matt bellamy. He's been Hail as this centuries Guitar Genius (TG magazine August issue, IMO i agree, but it's all down to opinion).

i used to want to "channel my favorite guitar celeb" but i realized that Isn't me.
Not I want to find my own style.
and i think I am. my style may not necessarily be the fastest ( i can play fast ,but it's just not me, kno what i mean?) my style is very orignal, and it doesn't sound much like anything else.

I once wanted to play like Yngwie Malmsteen. I still do, but I'm leaning more toward the Paul Gilbert side of things. smile

well. i wanted to play like daron from soad. heavy but simple. and now i'm trying to get a heavy sound from a slide... but i can barly get a punk sound to it.
but i still want that simple heavy sound. Yeah! cool
