Flight had never really been difficult for the feathered stallion, but for some reason this one was. Neither hindered by physical binds nor emotional distress, it was difficult to say what exactly tethered him to the ground below. There was a certain shame he had carried with him, wasn't there? The shame of being what he was, and the distantce that had grown between himself and the rest of the world. Yes, he was sure that was the leash that choked him from reality every time. 'Shame.' The word echoed closely to his concious, shifting his thoughts to the ghosts of the past, as they had come to be known. Forever the mark of shame upon his family's tree. 'Damn them all.'

With a tilt of his head the stallion glanced down towards the grown below, spotting what seemed to be the land of endless trees and water. Hmm, this seemed relatively closed off to most travelers, which he found to be more then welcoming. Arching his neck, and pointing a rather wicked beak towards the land below him, Sanue began the relative spilling of the swift winds from under his wings. 'Fall freely from the sky, dear friend, for certainly the ground below may never catch such a mark of dishonor', the stallion thought crossly; his hawk like head looking more fierce then usual.

The fairly young filly quietly walked around, keeping an eye out for any danger that might be lurking around waiting for an unexpecting small snack to munch on. Nothing would snack on her, not without a fight anyways. Her black hoof stomped the ground a little as she continued her lonely walk to no where. Night Rain did not yet understand why other's looked at her like she was insane, but something was up... was it that she only lived with her father? Maybe it was because her parents were completely different.

Night flicked her tail a little then stopped for a second to scratch her head against her leg, being very careful not to scratch herself with her curved black horn that laid in the middle of her forehead. The sound of another's wings made Night a little cautious, but not in a fearful way. When she looked up she noticed a what seemed to be pure bred Jala. "Stupid jalas." She said softly to herself. The little one had come to think that all jalas were rude and always thought better of themselves and that non-purebreds were stupid and useless... she would show them...

For a moment he felt the burdern of his flight cease to exist, though was replaced by the betrayal of hollow content. In his sight he saw the ground rush up towards him with tremendous force as his body continued to plumit, but his only reaction was far from the obvious. Slipping from what seemed to be a usual mentality and into tranquil but ill-informed bliss, the stallion's lids shut lightly against his olive colored eyes. Let the ground rush upon him then, allow his taloned forelegs to great it with the spreading of their claws, and his fierce head to strike out at the norms of the Nequus world. Such things, were never-ending thoughts of the feathered stallion; a curse upon his family's very blood-existance.

However, it was during his fall from the sky that the wind that rushed up to great him suddenly ceased ten-fold; and it was then that the stallion knew that his fall was over. With a quick snap of his wings and the outstreatching of his now visable taloned forelegs that he came to greet the land below with complete ease. His mind's eye was far greater in calculating flight then his own, you see, and only when his hind legs touched ground did he great the world of pure bloods and norms alike with his scowling olive gaze. 'Different.' His final thought on the subject matter, and his final conclusion to what he really was.

Oddly though, his gaze hadn't met just the world around him, with trees and crystaline water that soften the blow; but a rather tiny figure off to the side. Hell. Had he just given himself a ticket to hell and back again? The one thing he had come to avoid, the Nequus of Urin, happened to be standing in one tiny package not far off and in plain view. What was she then, the little demon that surely shared the views of the others. Reya? Upon close inspection he found this to be mostly true, but that horn seemed to him to be a bit more like Ichsa. Crossbreed then? They were all the same, semi-normal to the judgemental eyes of the Nequus at least. With a dismissive turn of his beaked head the stallion turned towards the water's edge he had landed close to. Let the demon do as she will then, his hollowed content could stand a bit more he figured.

Her small eyes glared at the jala for a minute as he landed on the ground. The small wings that were tucked by her side shuffled a bit as she watched him closely. "Hmph..." Was all she sad as she began off towards the water herself. The little one kept a distance away from the odd looking Jala. His odd beak seemed to stand out against his feathers that seemed to spread over his body like a bird's feathers would. The purple marking that she had carried on from her mother seemed to stand out of her jet black fur that clearly showed her little bit of sweat that was coming from her neck.

Quietly, Night's head bent down and she took a sip of water as she kept an eye towards the Jala. She blinked her eyes at the sight of his claws at the edge of the water. Claws? When did a Jala have claws... when did any nequus have claws? Maybe this Jala wasn't that different from her... they both seemed to be very odd, and out of place in the world. The cross breed filly stomped her black hoof on the ground.

The feathered stallion had choosen to ignore the little passage of noise between himself and the filly, that 'hmph' of hers could have surely been far more the worse. Perhaps if she were full grown then, she might have had something more to say about the shame marked stallion. When she was older then, he concluded, she would be the demon like the most of them he had come by. Most. He nearly choked on the water that passed between his beak and over his tongue as he thought of the single mare who showed him kindness in his life. It was a horrible fate she had come by, a tradegty he could not escape. Throughout the hollow sense of content, he could feel that twinge of sharp despair, his mask of apathy failing him.

For a moment the stallion merely seemed to idle there in the water, his beak shifting out slightly so he could stare at his reflextion in its crystaline glimpse. However tarnished his image made it, for olive colored eyes nearly bore a hole into his own despair. As it was though, his gaze had shifted over to the filly as he heard a small thud on the ground, for he had noticed her earlier stares over at him. Conciously the stallion stepped into the stream, though only enough to allow his fore legs to be partically covered; the claws anyway.

It was rather awkward, you see, for Sanue had hardly spent any time with other nequus, much less foals. The mother's of his 'herd' had never allowed foals to come near him, not once, as if he had some deadly disease. With a small sigh that rippled the water just below his beak, he figured it best to at least try. Not like he'd get a chance to meet another foal, and it was highly unlikely he'd ever have any of his own. "Hello there." Contrary to popular belief in his previous company, the feathered stallion's voice was soft and nearly above a whisper; not at all screechy like they had suspected.
