I've heard people say that Global Warming is not the only, or even the most major, contributor for the world's weather changes... discuss

...So if it's not global warming, then what is it?

[If it isn't global warming it's the earths natural heating and cooling cycles.

I believe very strongly that we are contributing to the world's pollution and we need to stop but I'm very iffy on global warming. Like I said the world goes through heating and cooling.

Here's what I think: We are causing the world's eviroment to go through these heating and cooling cycles much faster then it would normaly would. In the 70s we were worried about the next ice age because it was getting cooler. So I don't believe in just global warming.

If it exists and if it doesn't we still need to learn not to dependant on pollution causing means of energy.

But that's exactly what global warming is: the increase in temperature due to thicker layers of greenhouse gas caused by pollution (among other things).

Global warming. hmm

The Uk sure has had some freaky weather this year.

yorkshire hasnt had a flood since like 1950

and all of a sudden the next street from me is underwater neutral

if thats not global warming what is it

the hottest day ever comes every year recently

next year im sure there will be yet another record

the world is changing, you cant deny it.

we need to change.
before murder becomes legal neutral

The very same chemicals we are 'destroying' the atmosphere with are 'natural', and as such are released by volcanic eruptions and other natural phenomenons.

All natural occurrences can be graphed in cycles. The earth will destroy all natural life, and then create it once more. We as humans are not 'causing' global warming; we are merely speeding it up.

Global Warming is a natural occurance, all scientists agree on this fact.

But, we are making it worse. 'Causing, basically, a "Super Global Warming" Effect, no scientist will disregard this.

All the scientists ever questioned about Global Warming have stated that humans are 'causing an increased Green House effect.

Global Warming is natural, but whatis happening now is not.

About what yusono said... The ice caps in the north have never melted in the past, the polar bears are disorented and having shorter eating seasons because of the higher tempurature. The sea level is rising because of the melting ice. And many scientists are fearing that a large chunk of ice is going to fall off of Antartica and cause many problems. This is not the natural 'Warming and Cooling' of the earth, it's much more than that.

[Why is it everybody thinks that I'm saying that global warming doesn't exist? That's not at all what I said. I said I don't believe in global warming only but I belive much like yourself that we are causing super global warming, but also cooling. We are making the earth go through it's natural cooling and heating cycles faster then it would naturally. I never said it didn't exist.]

i definatly agree that we are having an effect, but what really annoys me is how everyone says we're "killing the world" and we have to "save the world"
we can't kill the world!
and we can't save it!
all we can do is save ourselves.
sheesh

yusono: the term "global warming" has caused the same confusion to others as well, because "global warming" includes global cooling in the same name. this is why scientists want to change the term to "global climate change".

i have to say that global warming is to its extremes. over the course of 100 years, the US alone has used up 50 million years worth of fossil fuels. i dont consider that natural. but from wut ive heard, that is only a 15:85 percent ratio to the damages of natural global warming.

I agree with yusono. It's natural, we are pushing it to go a little faster than normal but its natural. What do you think happened after the ice age. The earth temperature warmed to extreme temperatures to melt all of that ice right?

Right now the issue is mostly political, if you have seen the movie an Innconvienitet truth and heard Al Gore talk about how its almost entirerly our fault, then I hope you did some of your own research to see if he's right or wroung. Some of the charts he uses as key example are incomplete. Just look on different internet. Some pro global warming sites can prove that.

On top of that, the movie is not pure science, through out the entire move he goes in and out talking about his own life and stuff that has absolutly nothing to do with the issue he's presenting.

(that and al gore let himself go after he lost the presidential election lol)
