I'll fix this up later, I just want to get everything down first.IntroductionHai. This is my quest for Erik and Christine from The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. According to wikipedia, "It was first published as a serialization in Le Gaulois [a French daily newspaper] from September 23, 1909 to January 8, 1910" and was translated into English the next year. My favorite translation is by Lowell Bair, which is not as readily available as the common translation, but is very worth the trouble of looking on Amazon.com. The Bair translation leaves in a lot of details which the common version cut out for some reason. For more information about the novel and plot, see the Wikipedia article.
If you've come here from my sig link and have no idea what ExLibris is, I'll give you a little clarification: The shop was created on October 26, 2006. The concept is that each book creates two cats: one for the cover and one for the pages. There are three stages: Book, Kits, and Adults. The two cats can speak to each other via their thoughts, and are closely bonded. There are different adult linearts based on what type of book it is. Since Phantom of the Opera is a gothic novel (blending romance and horror) I haven't quite decided which category it should be.NewsAugust 9 ~ Quest begins
September 19 ~ Quest quitWhy I'm quittingWell, I got approximately all but 100k of my goal and then I started doubting my idea. See, I thought it would be great to have Erik and Christine as an ExLibris pair, but upon much prior thought, I determined that none of the adult lineart actually fits them. I just couldn't be happy with them if the poses and gestures in the artwork didn't look believable to the characters' personalities. Another reason was that I know myself. And knowing myself, I can tell you that I'd probably never RP them. So I really don't want to take them and never use them when there might be someone in the future who wants them.. and will actually enjoy them in roleplay. So that's why I'm quitting the quest, sending the donation back, and respectfully closing this thread <3

Gold is more expendable than items, since items go up in value and gold does not. I'm trying to make as much gold as possible so I can use that instead of selling the items I want to keep. But if you do want to donate to me anyway, I will thank you for it.
