Would it be worth it to get a cheat device for my DS.... I've done some research and it would work with some of the games I plan on getting... but would it be worth the 35 dollar asking price? I mean, yay cheat codes that get you unobtainable items, but I've heard bad things about codes corrupting games and I don't want that, so I'd have to hunt down stable codes which would be annoying...
Anyway, your opinions on cheat devices?

I would only get the cheat device after beating the game normally.

Well yeah, I'd only use it in the instance of an items that I can't get otherwise, like the pokemon promo items. I wouldn't use to to get me through the game unless I was extremely desperate, and I doubt I would need to cheat before using a walk-through in a tough spot...

Anyway, your opinions on cheat devices? In all honesty, I don't like using them, seeing as Nintendo hates them, and once tried to go against them in court for creating them without Nintendos consent and lost, but I do see why you would use it to get Mew and such. In conclusion, do not use them to get things that would otherwise make the game too easy: Only for collection purposes. And, I don't know if it can corrupt your game, seeing as my friends used a Gamecube one and it was playing perfectly, but it's your choice.

Yeah it'd be mostly for collection purposes. Because I love me some collecting.
I'm sure nintendo doesn't like them, but I don't like the fact that I can only get some pokemon by going to events that are hundreds of miles from my home neutral
I'd rather cheat than spend that much on gas money just for pixels and data.

That's just stupid.
If Nintendo doesn't like them, why would they let their developers create them?

I'm not one for cheat codes. They're fun in the beginning...but usually just blend together with everything else. But for collecting and after beating the game...that's better than random other stuff.

I like to use cheat codes once I've won the game. Like to see how fast I can beat a game.
