I hate the Disney Channel now. They fudging took away Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse. The very symbol of Disney and they took it away for crap like Hanna Montana and That's So Raven, and other random s**t that isn't even funny. I mean to little kids and preteens it's like crack and they get influenced by their "DAAAANGS" and the "I hate my older brother" and "Not obey my parents".
My little sister, who is eleven, loves the shows. She starts to act like the characters on the show and gets extremely sarcastic with me (not in the good way that all siblings use with each other but in an extremely disrespectful way) until I yelled at her about it; now she watches her tongue when she wants to get snappy with me.
While I am no prep, I'm a goof ball myself, but these shows with their laugh track and two bit actors who climb the wall of fame and become famous for ******** shows like Lizzie Mcguire or The Sweet Life is just so... so... terrible. It shows how far our American society has fallen to worship these actors and think great men such as Anthony Hopkins, Christopher Lee, and Yun-Fat Chow are lame and just for old people. I remember the good old days with the old Mickey Mouse and friends shorts along with the classic Disney movies coming on like Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, and Lion King.

your completely right its getting sooo annoying but at lease they made a TOON Disney channel for ole washed up toons like Mickey Mouse.. surprised sad i feel sorry for the real Disney dude

I agree with most of that, however I did like Phil of the Future and That's So Raven, not for their content, but they gave me an excuse to oogle Adriene Bailon and Brenda Song while under the false pretense of "spending time" with my little brother
...and btw, I'm new so this is my 1st post here.

I'm going to be the mom of a little girl soon, and I keep hoping that I can get her to like old disney movies and not the new disney crap they show today. I hate all those horrible shows. If I could I would block just those shows.

I totally agree. I hate Disney Channel since they got rid of all the classic cartoons. Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and all of them good ones and replaced them with....crap.

I actually enjoy the shows, but if I had a/some kid(s), I encourage them to dress up as Alice and opposed to a "Cheetah Girl".

I agree, I really don't like Disney Channel at all!
I like all the old disney stuff, this new really sucks!
I hate it!
But my little sisters watch all day long ><
So I have to listen to it!

I like the disney channel as something to have on in the background when I'm on the computer or reading (and I live in constant hope that they might show some of the old Mighty Duck movies again), just because you can drop in and drop out of it without too much brain power and it makes a change from what I generally watch in England, that said, I despise the constant breaks for adverts, this seems to be a problem on all American TV, it isn't so bad on the disney channel but in England with channels like BBC 1, 2, 3 and 4 which don't have any of such breaks, it's very annoying.

I personally always hated Disney, but I agree their new crap is horrible, and its definitely not something a child should be watching. In that animated black disney show the girl is always saying a** and s**t on a regular basis, its like OMFG?! I thought this show was for 10 year olds eek
and the childrens [like 5 year olds and stuff] shows are totally on crack I saw this one thats modeled after telletubbies[sp] and its like a bunch of fluffy balls and they make cracked out noises and dance and do other weird stuff, I felt like puking after watching it for 10 minutes.
To Gremlins Rule:
Yeah thats why I don't watch standard telly anymore, I watch the more high-budget channels that don't have commercials or breaks of any-kind, like HBO, Showtime, Starz, Encore and The Sundance Channel... Plus the t-v shows on those channels are much higher budgeted and they never really cancel them, which is awesome. I have to say HBO and Showtime are my two favorites.
You know, with shows like The Sopranos, Entourage, Dexter, Weeds, Carnivale and Big Love how can you go wrong? XD Oh I forgot Deadwood and Rome....
I think the last good Disney movie [childs] that I have seen was Antz... but its not really a childs movie, kind of centered a bit more for adults/teens... but it was a good movie.

I don't watch TV too much anymore, but yeah, a lot of the new Disney stuff isn't all that great. And the fact that they took of the good ol' shows is annoying and stupid (for lack of a better word at the moment)
Sometimes I can turn on some of those shows (Hannah, Phil, Raven, Cory in the House) and get some laugh. But usually, I just watch them when I want to go brain dead for a bit. Toon Disney is better I think, but at the same time they have dozens of shows I don't find fun either.
All these cartoon places seem to be going down hill. Disney, Nick, ect. Especially Nick. I harldy watch that now. SpongeBob... *shivers*
