Welcome to my literate Naruto RP! If you were able to read that sentence, then congratulations! You’re technically literate (by definition: able to read). But in all seriousness, I’m looking for good typists, so anyone who wants to join this RP must PM me with a role-play sample. Fair enough? Also, it may interest you to know that all characters from the Naruto anime/manga are playable in this RP. Here’s a list of the current cast of characters:

RULES! Obey them and I’ll like you.
Rule #1) Have fun
Rule #2) These rules are subject to change at any time by me without notice. Uh, except Rule #1… that stays the same.
Rule #3) Keep OOC talking to a minimum, and put ((double parentheses)) around OOC messages
Rule #4) If you have an issue with someone, either PM them or PM me. Don’t fill my RP up with trash talk
Rule #5) Like any respectable role-player, don’t put **, ::, --, or any nonsense like that around your actions. Put “quotations” around speech, and say what you’re doing outside of the quotes. Pretty simple, right?
Rule #6) Try to behave as your character would (For example, Ino smacking Sasuke in the face for no reason would not be acceptable… except in a battle, of course). Likewise, if someone is role-playing a jerk, don’t hold it against him or her for acting how that character would.
Rule #7) Anyone who enters, posts only once or a couple times, and then leaves for a long time without explanation will lose the rights to their RPC and the spot will be free again (unless it’s a made-up character, in which case that character will just sort of disappear.)
Rule # cool If you want to join in as a pre-made character (someone from the anime/manga, for example), you don’t need to fill out a profile. However, you will have to PM me to tell me you want to RP as that character, and include a role-play sample for me to check out. I’ll add you to the cast of the first page if you're allowed to join in, but keep in mind that this is a LITERATE role-play.
Rule #9) If you want to join in as a made-up character, you’ll have to PM me your character’s profile (I’ll get to the profile skeleton in a minute) and include a role-play sample.
Rule #10) No bumping allowed (seriously, aren’t there enough threads in the Chatterbox for that?)
Rule #11) Obey the Gaia’s Terms of Service… obviously ninja
Rule #12) I reserve the right to blacklist and/or ban anyone from this thread… but I hope I won’t have to
Rule #13) No one’s perfect, so don’t try to make your character an exception. No one likes a character with too many special abilities and not enough humility.
Rule #14) When fighting as (or against) a pre-made character, keep in mind the difference in their strengths (For example, Sakura overpowering Kakashi in a fist fight… yeah, that’s not happening)

The following is a skeleton of the profile that must be filled out for all made-up characters (don’t worry, it’s pretty simple)…
Gaia Name: Your username on Gaia, obviously
Character Name: The name of your made-up character
Gender: Male or female (Unknown really isn’t an option. Even Haku knows what gender he really is, so you should too)
Rank: Genin (Junior Ninja), Chunin (Full-fledged Ninja), or Jounin (Elite Ninja)
Weapon of choice: Whichever weapon your character likes best (try to keep it within the bounds of ninja weaponry, like kunai or wakizashi… that kind of thing)
Preferred style: Either Ninjutsu (ninja weaponry), Genjutsu (ninja illusions), or Taijutsu (ninja fisticuffs)
Personality traits: I’d prefer at least three traits, but I’m not too strict about it. Don’t give me your life story! Every character needs a little development throughout the storyline, right?
Dream: Whatever your character wants most out of life. This is optional, in case your character is totally clueless as to what they want most.
Faults: Nobody’s perfect, right? Just enter whatever faults your character may have… whether they know it or not.
Village: Not every ninja has to be from the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Just put your village of origin here.
Squad: I don’t want a squad number, necessarily. Just the names of whomever else are in your squad as of yet, including your sensei. NOTE: This does not apply to runaway shinobi, such as Orochimaru and Zabuza, but only to Genin, Chunin and Jounin.
Once again, this doesn’t apply to characters from the anime/manga. To join as a pre-made character, send me a request for that character along with a role-play sample. In the even that more than one person is requesting the same character at the same time, I’ll judge which one should get to play as them by the role-play sample, so make it a good one!

The current situation…
The RP really hasn’t started up yet, but for future reference, this section will be devoted to explaining in a nutshell what’s going on in the story. Note that the story will often be split between individual groups of people (while Haku and Zabuza are doing one thing, for example, Naruto and his team may be doing something else), but I’ll try to cover it all here.
