Vegetarianism The ressult that innocent animals are killed as a fact of human wanting to eat it. Brought up in crampt comditions, sometimes for weeks on end.
Hows do you feel about the fact meat is killed? & How do you feel about the contitions the animals are kept in?

You are my one and only love
I am a vegetarian myself. I don't eat meat, not for the animal reason, but because meat makes me ill. I think that what people are confusing vegetarians with animal rights activists. Both are pretty different. Yes, you can be both, but they are not the same. Vegetarians eat dairy, eggs, maybe even chicken or fish. Vegans don't eat anything that came from an animal, or any processed foods. Animal activists are people who are protective of animals and how they are treated. This fact does not necessarily make them vegetarian. As for my thought on killing the animals. I have no problem when they are killed for food reasons, but I am against fur, leather, and sport hunting.
The one I treasure most

Personally, I feel like there's nothing wrong with killing animals bred to be eaten. But I'm kinda mean and heartless that way. sweatdrop

I was a vegetarian at one point in my life until my parents saw me sneaking pepperoni from the fridge one night. I have nothing against vegetarianism. Lately I have been thinking about trying it again. However, the human body needs meat (sounds weird) to survive. Vegetarians cannot just substain protein from peanuts the rest of their lives. Despite that, I do find it horrible that we kill living animals for their meat. But, we need the meat to survive. On this matter, I find that I am in the middle...Supporting vegetarians for wanting to make a difference in the meat producing companies, but for everyone else, who need the meat to survive.

I certainly don't approve of the animals being kept in horrible conditions for their entire lives, but I have no problem with eating the meat from an animal that was raised free-range. Human beings are omnivores, meaning that on a whole we'd be healthier if we ate at least some meat. I have nothing against vegetarians, but I don't agree with them. Life will always sustain itself with death. Trying to avoid that fact is rediculous.

Meat actually is unhealthy; the fat and the hormones give you heart disease. It sits heavier in your stomach, which makes you feel full, but it takes a long time to digest and that can make you feel sick. So I see why some people are vegetarian. But meat once in a while, is that so bad? I try to avoid meat sometimes, but it's hard when I eat where I work (food service) and my mom makes meaty dinners.
Then there's the fact that meat is much cheaper than vegetarian (or especially vegan) meals. I had a talk a few months ago with this animal rights club leader from school on Myspace, as he was trying to spread this spelling error-filled crap about how the school is coldhearted for not providing vegetarian lunches. neutral Vegetarian lunches would be much more expensive, and whoooo pays for this? The taxpayers. Me. And I'm not vegetarian; and you don't need to be vegetarian either. Plus, you can bring lunches from home like I do. >.> He backed way down. xD;; But I think he hasn't changed his little speech on his myspace, either.

I don't see anything wrong with being a vegetarian. I have a friend who's vegetarian, in fact. 3nodding I eat meat (even though I don't like most meat) but protest against the way animals are processed into meat. They are treated extremely cruelly and many people have no idea. And the meat processors only do this because it can save them money because keeping better care of the soon-to-be processed animals is more expensive.
However, the body does need some meat, so some vegetarians should take some protein pills (as well as other vitamins) or eat other types of food that can provide them with the same vitamins the body needs.

I probably seem like an evil person, because I don't think there's anything wrong with putting an animal in a small cage so they can't move, and therefore have more tender meat... I also think that veil is delicious... sweatdrop
Sorry, animal lovers... gonk

What's not wrong with it? It's inhumane. neutral I'm sure you would enjoy being separated from your mother when you are first born, trapped in a dark room, and taken out only when you are ready to be eaten.
Did you know that before an animal is slaughtered, they feel fear? I'm not a vegetarian myself, but I've seriously thought about it.

~ I Love Tommy ~ Yeah, I know... But to me they're just animals, they were bred for this kind of thing, right? sweatdrop I don't have a problem with that, but I don't like it when people shoot animals like deer or bison in the wild and eat them... I feel like the wild should be left as it is...

I eat what I like. Which is why I'm a meat eater.
I don't really like it when Vegetarians try to make me feel bad about what I happen to eat. There's nothing wrong with being a Vegetarian, but I'm not one of them. I eat meat. So I tell them to leave me alone and let me eat what I want.
It sucks to think that a cow had to die to make my burger, but it's life.

I understand the reasoning of vegitarianism, and I think anamals being mistreated is foul, but I have never considered becoming one. Even if I did want to become a vegitarian, it would be dangerous to my health, because at one point I suffered from a disorder where I needed massive amounts of protien just to survive.
It is practically normal now, but I still couldn't give up meat entirely.
Anyway, I like steak.

I was a vegetarian at one point, and I'm confident with that the fact that I'm never doing that ever again.
Humans were made to eat meat, we're omnivores. Yeah, some animals obviously have to die for us to get that meat. But they're going to die whether we eat them or not, so we might as well us them to our advantage.
I'm not really against vegetarianism/veganism, though. If you don't want to eat meat, then don't. I'd never understand you if you said it was because you loved animals, though.
I'm starting to ramble now, I think.
