To put it simply?
No, I'm not.
Mathama Gandhi once said, "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
Christians today are, both generally and as the media depicts them, hypocritical, holier-than-thou, hate-mongering fascists who cling to ancient and useless tradition and ceremony even in the face of efficiency and new technology. Not wanting to be associated with that stereotype, I'd prefer to refer to myself only as a follower of Christ.

If we're going by theological judgement, then yes I am. However, some people can respond very negativedly to the term Christian, and so I prefer to say that I believe and follow Christ and God.

I personally don't care about the stereotype except for the fact that it can drive people away from God.

i had just come across few non-christians in guild and i was wondering how many there really was in this guild. i thought this guild was for christians and people who wanted to learn about christ i was just disturbed that we had non-christians giving advise to people who were trying to come out of their gay lifestyles, telling them that it was ok to be a homosexual or lesbien. its not ok.

Of course I am a Christian! I have been a Christian since about 5 or 6. I don't care what people say about me, even if they hate me. I just want to be pleasing to God. Of course, it's not the easiest thing, but I at least want to try.

Well, I hate to break it to you darling, but Shiroi DEFINITELY has the right idea here. Christians do not all have the right idea. They have their ideas and beliefs and other have theirs. Unfortunately there is no one to tell us exactly who is right. So there. I am non-Christian, yet I believe in God. I love God and worship Him and want to live for Him with all my heart. But, I'm really not terribly into the whole Jesus thing. I mean, I believe he existed and that he did all these miracles, but I honestly don't think that he deserves the same recognition and praise as God. Now -- There is absolutely nothing wrong with being gay, lesbian, bi, straight... whatever. That is how God made us. He made us the way we are for a purpose. Don't get too worked up, okay? You can go ahead and say whatever you like about how I only think this way because I am not a Christian, but I just want you to realize that hating me for this isn't the most Christian thing you can do. Seriously, think about it. I'm done now. Sorry.

Actually, the problem is that the media only pays attention to the loud Christians who are like, "YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD!!! YOUR GOING TO HELL!!!!!! ALL GOTHS ARE EVIL!!!!!!!!" and stuff like that.
