my teacher often ordered directly from egypt for her veil fabric [she'd dye it herself] and coinbelts.. they're GORGEOUS!! im pretty sure it was at turquoise international, im sure they have a website. i dont recomend getting chiffon / silk veils from india though.. even though they're super cheap, the ones my troupe and i bought stained our hands dark red and made our bodies turn colors -_- also, some of the girls with white coin belts had theirs turn pink, which was cute, but it pissed them off. hooray.

We have a few bellydance stores in Austin. One is called the Arabic Bazaar and aghghg I can't remember the name of the other one I went to. I don't really know that many websites because I haven't ordered online that often.

There are no shops around where I live, so I just look online for ideas and then create my own costumes... whether bellydance or other costumes. I like to sew... biggrin But my favorite sites for costumes are: Help with making your own: http://www.shira.net/costuming.htmLinks to TONS of people who sell online: http://www.shira.net/links.htm#Vendors

Another great resource is good ol ebay.com If you're artistic and creative you can piece together some really neat things biggrin I've made many a grand belts with ebay tassels, coins, and kuchi pendants. Not to mention you can find the hail-worthy melodia pants mrgreen Search for Melodia pants in the ebay search bar... they're the pants worn by the Indigo in most of their performances!
