She had been away from the quiet grove for a while now, summing it up to her 'project' as well as a few other things... Wanderlust, perhaps... Not wanting to be tied down another. Each time she returned she expected the eccentric stallion to be gone. When she was right and he was she expected him never to return... But he always did.
Strange, how things seemed to work out.
She returned to the grove now with something in mind; a test of sorts for her new charge. She wanted to see just how well her 'makeover' had gone... Whether or not she had been able to make a difference in the shy, quiet mare's life. "Hatter... Whereart thou, o' Hatter?"

"Where am i always little kitten?" He hadn't left his grove for long and had returned early in the morning long before her. The fruits were starting to flower and he was taking advantage of the tender flowers before the sun got to them for the day.
His hat shaded his eyes as he turned toward her voice and spied the white mare though the trees. He was slightly surprised to see her back so soon, having figured she'd gone wandering again, but it was a nice surprise.
Bit of an attitude aside she was pleasant company thanks to her ability to keep up with his skewed thinking.

She trotted towards the sound of his voice, pausing not far from him to give her head a light toss. Once everything was in place she moved closer, stretching out her neck so that she could touch her nose to his, a smirk curving her muzzle.
"I've done a little more work on that project I've told you so little about... And I was wondering if you could come with me for a moment so that I can... Put it through a little test. I promise you'll be well rewarded." And he would. He'd have her company, afterall and what stallion wouldn't want that without any strings attatched?

He tilted his head down slightly and regarded her from under the brim of his hat. He knew whatever reward she spoke of was something she would think a reward and not necessarily something he would find rewarding. "I could be tempted more were i privy to what this project was."
He would most likely go with her anyway for lack of anything else entertaining to do but why not put up a little fight? The information could prove useful were he able to get it.

"If I told you before you agreed to come along there is no guarantee that you would come with me." She nodded slowly, tail giving an equally slow swish behind her. "... I could always opt to let you name your own reward since you never seem all to keen on those I choose for you."

"What guarantee do you have that i will follow you without knowledge of where i'm going?" He tilted his head slightly and grinned at her.
"At least a hit kitten and we shall talk of rewards once the task is done."

"Curiosity is a guarantee of it's own, dear hatter." She nickered softly, giving her head a light toss. "Even if you don't follow me now it will eventually begin to gnaw at you and, from there, it's only a matter of time."
Her hindquarters swayed as she turned around, heading back towards the woods. "A hint? Well... I suppose I could give you one. She says she's met you before." That said she trotted off, leaving him to whatever thoughts he might have between now and the moment he decided to follow her.

There were very few 'she's that he'd met that he would want to cross paths with again. Most of them seemed far more trouble than they were worth. Katarina only missed that mark since she seemed to be able to hold a conversation when her ego didn't get in the way.
Tossing his head to reset his hat he headed though the trees after the white and pink mare. Should it be a she that he had no desire to see then he could just turn tail and escape.

She was easy to follow through the woods, standing out beautifully so with her bright pinks and tinted whites. It became even easier when she entered a small clearing with a glittering pond. The sun was shining... Such a beautiful day.
She turned, glancing back the way she'd come to see if he was indeed following her. She smiled when she saw him, giving her head a light toss. She knew he would follow.

He nipped a few leaves here and there from the trees as they passed. If he was going to be walking around then he might as well sample what there was in the area to offer. After all the season for his favorite fruits would soon be over.
Hopefully this surprise she had wasn't something dreadful that he'd have to wander away from. Dreadful things had a habit of following you if you werent careful.

She trotted around the middle of the clearing for a moment before making her way back to the stallion's side. She paused for a moment, giving his shoulder a gentle nudge to straighten him out before turning her head towards the opposite side of the clearing. "Mister Hatter, I would like to introduce you to my newly refined project... Miss Guili."
She stuck her head out from between the trees, peering out shyly before finally stepping forward. She took a deep breath before holding her head high as Miss Katarina had shown her to do. Slowly she made her way into the clearing, a soft sway in her step that only seemed slightly awkward. She paused just before them, bowing her head at Katarina before managing something akin to a curtsey as she turned to Mad H before quickly glancing up to see how she'd done.
"Go on, dear. Don't be shy... Say hello." She reached out to nudge the mare's shoulder gently, encouraging her.
She put on a pretty smile as she turned back towards the stallion, short tail giving a slight flicker as she swallowed her nerves. "G-GoodAfternoon."

He vaguely remembered the mare before him. Though his rememberence of her came along with another mare who was absent. So the sisters had been separated eventually. That was good to know and slightly disturbing. The black one was bound to get herself into some sort of trouble out there.
Looking between Guili and Kat he shook his head and laughed. "So you've turned her into something she wasn't before eh?" Silly hobby if he did say so himself. Why make others into something when they could become something well enough on their own?
Still, he bowed his head slightly at her. "That is is."

Her brow furrowed slightly as she shook her head. What kind of horrible thing did he take her for? She would never make someone something that they weren't. "Of course not! I've just helped her realize a bit of her potential. No one should be cooped up in themselves forever, Mad H."

"What if she were happy being cooped up in herself hm?" He saw no reason to drag others from their shells if they were happy like they were. Even if they weren't for that matter. If someone didn't have the desire and drive to bother with the real world then it was best they stayed out of it.
Which was a rather odd statement coming from him of all people.

Golden eyes narrowed as she all but glared at the stallion, something bristling beneath her skin. "... And what if she wasn't? What if she was waiting for someone to see past the exterior to the intricacies of the interior?" She snorted, turning away from him. Why would he understand? Stallion's never did... They never understood anything.
She shifted anxiously, not quite understanding the sudden tension. Katarina had seemed so happy and she herself hadn't been upset. She had enjoyed the other mare's company... In a way, it was like being with an older version of her sister. What was going on?
