A burnt orange wild dog pup with splashes of tan flecks across her fur wandered into the place she had been told was the Southlands. She had not seen such a place before and was intreged. The grasslands before her looked like she could have alot of fun in them.

So wityh a smirk she declared, not caring if any around her heard, "And I shall declare myself princess of these grasses!" She said in an utterly cute and obnoxious tone. She then started romping off through the grasses which were a bit taller then her. If she had been cautious, she would have walked through slower, hoping not to accidentally jump, or run into, anyone.

Chafuka had been dozing on a sort of bed he'd made from flattening a patch of long grass. It was semi-comfortable; more so than sleeping on the ground, anyway. And because he had made the bed himself, he refused to admit that it had any sort of fault. After all, if made by someome so perfect, the bed must be perfect as well. That was his reasoning. Besides, sooner or later he'd find someone who fully appreciated him, and they'd make him fabulous and comfy beds to sleep on whenever he desired. They would look after him, because it was the least he deserved. He just had to find them.

His hear flicked as he heard the orangey female's obnoxious declaration, and he frowned as he opened his pale, almost translucent eyes. Obviously whoever that individual was, they were horridly mistaken. They seemed to think they were special and important, and that simply wasn't true when someone of his calibre was around. He couldn't just ignore this; he would have to set this stranger - girl, he assumed, if she imagined herself a princess - on the right track so she would begin to understand her faults, and how he had not a single one, which made him, of course, far superior.

Getting to his feet, he poked his head above the long grass and called out, "Hey! Who said that?" And then he waited for an answer. Like hell he was going to wander all over the place looking for her. Someone as fantastic as he never did something so menial. She would come to him, of course.

Still delusional and unaware of another pup in the area, Matifu wontinued roming through the grasses, pretending to be leaping gracefully as she giggled and laughed in her frolicing. She would have been content to just continue her silly little games, but then she heard someone call to her. She managed not to fall, and landed, ungracefully, on her feet and gazed around.

She was appalled, someone dare interupt her frolic? Oh well, it meant she could punicsh them and make them into her servant, or into a playmate. Send them off to slay a dragon fro her, or some such nonsence. Thinking all this, she puffed hersefl up and made her her fur was clean and dazzling. She was afterall a princess, like she declared, and would have to keep up her lovely appearence.

It was a moment of walking through the grasses until she spotted the creature who had asked who had said what Matifu had. She stood in a regal pose with her self stacked marvelously, and her nose high, her tail slightly curled behind her. "And who dares address me in such a way?"

Sitting regally and proudly on the bed he'd made, Chafuka cocked an eyebrow at the female that made her entrance in such a ridiculous manner, his pale eyes passing over her quickly as he took in and analysed every little detail. Already he was deciding he didn't like her, just by the snap judgement he made about her appearance. Her fur was a rather unimpressive colour, in his eyes, and the markings looked as though someone had gotten bored and just thrown them on her in any pattern. His own fur was rather marvellous, a pure, pristine white, and the markings he bore were perfectly symmetrical in every sense. Perfection to him.

And, of course, calling herself a princess of these lands he was temporarily residing in didn't exactly make his opinion of her climb up the ladder. After all, he was simply the best.

"Give me your name, and I might give you mine." This girl really needed to learn just who, exactly, was the most marvellous around here. She obviously thought a lot of herself. He would have to show her the error of her ways.

Matifu frowned at the boy and eyed him. Her own analysis of him wasn't the best either. She found his white and brown fur quite boring. She had seen many creatures in one, or both of thise colors. Also, his markings were so boring. She was a burnt orange color, and had lovely tan speckles across her face, on her chest in a heart shaped patturn, and on one of her paws. She was dazzling. Or atleast she kept telling herself that.

"I am Matifu'Meka, and as I declared before, I am the princes of this area." She said in her almost snobbish tone. There was nothing he could do to prove her wrong and she knew it. Unless of course he found the actual princess of these lands and could prove she was the princess, or prince, or whatever, but Matifu had learned that this territory was uncclaimed, well, had been uncclaimed. Matifu was convinced this was all hers now.

Chafuka was completely unimpressed with her declaration, and with the notion that a little runty pup could ever be a princess. Now knowing who - or rather, what, as he liked to think of her - had made the noise, he was uninterested, as someone so sadly delusional would take more time and effort than he was willing to spend showing her the true way of things.

With a loud and obnoxious yawn of boredom, the other pup turned his pale eyes away from the newcomer, following the path of a butterfly over the tall grasses before it disappeared moments later beyond his sight. Then he lazily gazed back at her, after having taken all this care to show her he wasn't interested or impressed. "Sorry, what was that? I got bored halfway through and my attention wandered."
