Exactly what the title says... what's the reason that you play the job that you use for your main one?
I do Bard because I love being warmly welcomed into parties, being supportive for others, and having a bit of control.

I play whm because I love saving people and I also love helping out. Always need a healer. ^^
I play brd because I love to pull and my little taru is just SO cute singing blaugh

BLM - Fun fure explosions draining and BOOM! lol
WHM - When i dont feel like killing its fun to heal ^^
SMN - Fun to just make something else kill for u xd
BRD - Fun to run around alot sometimes xd

Black Mage: It's fun to know that you are really the outcome of the battle, for without you it would probably go a lot slower.
White Mage: Fun just to stand there and be protected. And it's fun to make people laugh as White Mage ^^b

Why do I play my job?
Well, let me break it down for you.
Thief: Now this job, is basically, the job that has really gotten me far into the game. I can do so much, with so little. I mean, I even took Thief to 39 with just a Warrior sub, but, I'm taking time out, just to level Ninja, so I will stop loseing invites, there arn't many jobs I would really do that for....
Also, I love to be able to support others in my own way, yet, not be as powerful as the next person.
In a way, I'm one of the most helpful dd's just because, I help with hate control. I'll admit, I have had some bad battles, but, I always bounced back. Thief is not only a job, but, it's basically my niche if you will.
Warrior: This job is currently on hold. But, the classic Warrior, is still important. I love my Axes and Swords. I love the idea of just mauling the monster put in front of me. I may not be the best or mightiest DD. But, I still have helpful abilities to rely on, and my attack strength will be a major boost in any party. Just as long as I keep accuracy up. :3

BLM: For a number of reasons. It's great to cast a spell and watch the mob's HP just fall. It's also quite fun to run around with 50 weak mobs and then blow them all up and watch them die. twisted BLM can support itself in battle for the most part. A WHM sub, and you can cure yourself a bit and main healer can keep the rest of the party alive. SMN sub and you just have more MP, which is always good for the nuking. Even with a SMN sub, Drain and Aspir can help you keep going.
BLM is the main MBer, and I personally think it's a nice challenge to get the timing down. And when you and your PRT get a succsessful MB, it's a great feeling knowing that you just took a great deal of HP away from the enemy and it's also fun to show off what a great BLM you yourself are.
And the final reason, I lag. Yup, who knew that would make such a difference. I'd lvl WHM more, but since I lag, the PRT will surely die. I went a little WAR, but WAR has to voke mobs off NIN and everyone else if there is no NIN. SMN I can't do because SMN is normally backup healer, and if I lag in the middle of a spell, it's automatically interupted. Besides, I can't get the avatars because of lag. I've yet to try the other jobs, THF I didn't like, so for now I'm sticking with my 31 BLM.
Besides, BLM has Warp! WHOOOO!! Love Warping, and my HP is only 3 steps away. rofl

I play RDM because I love multi-tasking. I like that I get to melee and cast magic. With me around you don't need a whm because I rock. No "death" in my pt. Just get me a summoner and blm. =) Sub NIN and I am a machine.

Thief - As a Thief I feel it's my duty to make sure no one else gets slapped around (espcially not myself)
I play by this concept, if I miss my SATA or TAA on the tank it's going to be my a** sooner or later.
I really don't want that to happen
Controlling hate is a passion for me because I hate it when hate bounces off 5/6 members, the one who rarely catches it being myself (Unless TA mises and SA decides to go 'soro onry' -_- )
Also I think Thief can really be versatile with its sub and still come out efficiently (Maybe not as party efficient as others would like on some sub choices but nontheless fun which is what the game is about: Having fun. )
Another pleasure is knowing that when equipped properly we have the potential to be great DD's. Of course it's not cheap but you get what you pay for I believe.
More.. but I can't remember right now lol....

Whm all the way for me! i started out as blm purley because it fun to have that power and destruction from a simple spell,but then i started thinking more about whm and how that in its own way could be fun too, so i levelled it once i had sub job unlocked,now i am fully in love with it. I love being able to raise people or cure them in passing, i feel good if i can get a pt out of a bad situation without any deaths.
i guess it reflects my pesonality, i dont really fully enjoy being upfront causing the damage, i prefer to stand back and support others doing there job,knowing i can help the party in other ways than dealing damage to the mobs.

PLD- Because I can take a licking a keep on ticking razz and because I put myself between everyone else and the mob and if need be sacrifice myself for the good of the party, plus I am a sucker for knights and whatnot
