Zola twirled around in a circle, licking the chocolatey remnants of a chocolate fish she'd named Reginald right before devoured off her fingers. She hummed quietly to herself as her feet turned her around and around on spot; allowing herself a moment to not babysit her mother, not make sure she didn't harm herself or others, and not worry about any of the millions of things she had to worry about, Zola cringed as she heard a delighted scream coming from behind her. Sighing, she opened her eyes and all of those nots came roaring back to her. Zola's dear mother had sneaked up and yelled 'BOO' at the wizard in the fish and chips booth, causing him to overturn a basket of hot chips on the ground while Mrs. Rews screamed and clapped her hands, happy as a little child.
"MUM!" Zola cried, running over to the scene of the crime. "Mum, come on out - there you go, come stand over here by me, that's it..." Once Zola had gotten her mother in hand, she turned to the furious man behind the counter. "I'm so terribly sorry, sir, she really doesn't mean anything by it, I swear, she -" Zola stopped, seeing the man's expression. She sighed and reached for her bag. "How much do we owe you?
After paying the man, Zola took her mother over to the Floo Corner, telling the young witch in charge, "My mother needs to get back to her house. It's 413 Wellington."
"Three Sickles," the witch said, who didn't seem to care at all about the address or getting Zola's mother there safely.
"Can I just leave her with you, then?" Zola asked nervously as she handed over the money. The witch just nodded and, after telling her mother not to worry, Zola left the area, trying to shove her worries away and focus on the festival.
(Sorry, it was quite long. Please feel free to join in, anyone!)

Naida took a slight amount of delight to notice someone was having a worse, or at least as bad as, day as she was. She was balancing herself carefully on the cork zori while not getting tangled in the summer yukata her mother insisted she wear. It was bad enough her parents acted like Americans all the time, but then her mother would randomly start acting Japanese from time to time and make the girls do things like "wear proper festival wear" when this wasn't that sort of festival at all. Naida groaned to herself and took another bit of the pretzel wand that was at least bringing her a little comfort. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if Kiandra wasn't sick at home, or Dad wasn't bogged down at the Ministry. At least she had successfully lost her very pregnant mother somewhere around the masses of chocolate.

Zola took a moment to breath, tucking a piece of hair behindher ear, before turning back around to check on her mother. I'll just check once, I won't try to help, they know their job better than I do, Zola coached herself, trying to believe it as she watched the young witch help a singing Mrs. Rews into the enlarged fireplace. As Zola's mother started singing something from the Wierd Sisters in a German accent, the young witch threw the Floo Powder in the fireplace and called out the address - the correct one, Zola noted with relief. Her mother was gone, safe at home where there were plenty of safe things to entertain her, and finally Zola had a chance to enjoy the festival for more than two seconds.
She turned again, wondering where to go next, when she saw a girl not too far away in a beautifully detailed robe of some sort. I wonder what that is, Zola thought, and soon enough curiosity got the better of her. Approaching the young girl - she didn't look familiar, but Zola had never been one for remembering people - Zola smiled. "That's a beautiful garment," she said.

"Hm?" Naida wasn't excepting to gather bad days around her. "No, not really. It's just a cotton yukata." She hoped that if she didn't explain it, she wouldn't have to. She also took a couple steps away, someone else would distract the girl. Naida didn't know why she wasn't being friendly, but something about multiple bad days mixing in one place did not exactly thrill her.

Zola didn't notice the cool attitude of the girl, being so used to strange reactions. She smiled and surveyed the area as she chatted away happily. "I've always loved those - what did you call them, a yukata? - well, I think they're very elegant. Aren't they from Japan? You don't look very Japanese. But I'm not one to talk, I think any kind of ethnic clothing is just gorgeous. I wish I could get away with wearing more of it, but I have such bad sense when it comes to what I wear, I wouldn't dare wear ethnic garments for fear of offending someone. Unless it was French clothing, since that's really the only ethnicity I can call for my own - but is French an ethnicity, or a nationality? I'm not a French citizen, so I don't think it's a nationality...but French clothing is really just expensive brand names, isn't it? My dad's given me some expensive clothing, but they just don't feel good on me. Maybe if I didn't know they were so expensive I wouldn't mind, but that's kind of dreadful, don't you think? It's the reverse of 'if I thought it wasn't cheap, I'd like it', which I think is a bad attitude, don't you?"
Zola looked at the girl, smiling placidly. "Oh, is that a pretzel wand? I've heard those are good."

"You talk a lot." Was Naida's only comment, as she inched further towards the area with the rides and games. She was beginning to never want to see this girl again, which was bad considering they would probably be both going to Hogwarts next year...

Gabriel hated crowds. Hated them with a passion. But all things considered, he could endure them for a while, seeing as the alternative staying in his room staring at the walls all day long and not see Morgana's Ball. He was wearing a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt with a silver dragon stretching itself around it.
Unlike usual, Gabriel wasn't really looking where he was going, preferring to look at all the stalls around him. So it was no surprise when he bumped into someone. Am I doomed to bump into every single person in this country?! He thought was he regained his bearings and annoyed looked for the person he bumped into to apologize.

Naida barely stayed on her shoes as she was bumped into. "Hey!" She yelled, flaring a learned Scottish accent. "Watchit!" She was not any happier to have to regain her balance on these absurdly unsteady things her mother stuck on her feet earlier in the day.

Zola watched as the slightly irritated girl was almost thrown out of balance by an oblivious boy. The girl was yelling - Zola had had enough yelling for the day. Making sure the girl was focused only on the clumsy boy, Zola gave them both an apologetic smile before walking away, thinking that perhaps another chocolate fish would do well right now. Zola happily focused on the problem of what to name the chocolate fish she would soon digest.

Naida's mood suddenly changed to the opposite of what it had been, she looked up at him with beautiful sparkling green eyes "You're a hero, you know that?"

Seeing the girl he had bumped into, Gabriel was about to apologize when he noticed the clothing she had on. Then his eyes wandered to her face but she looked like any other English girl he had seen since his arrival Forgetting his annoyance he was about to apologize when she completely changed her disposition.
"Huh? ..What do you mean? What did i do?" He said taken aback and avoiding to make eye contact. Mentally Gabriel was running the last 5 minutes through his head again in case he had been knocked out for a while and had missed anything.

"Just trust me on this one..." She didn't really feel like explaining, although she felt a little bad the girl got completely driven away. She had just wanted her to shut up, not run away. But I suppose one can't be picky about such things. Naida took a moment to dust the front fold of her yukata to make sure nothing would come undone from the bump. "I'm Naida, by the way." She said to her rescuer.
