This may be a little bit random.... if this topic gets deleted... it's okay... I'm asking because I'm moving to Missouri.... Columbus missouri I think... and I was hoping there were.... n_n; I'm excited but frightened at the same time...... xd stare sweatdrop Transfering to a new college and moving to an unfamiliar place...If there are any maybe.......

I'm in Missouri during the school year, actually.
And did you mean Columbus, or Columbia? [there's a big difference, and I'm curious as to how close you'll be to me]

Yeah, Columbus is in the middle of nowhere south of KC. I didn't think there was much out there, never mind some university.
I'm a ways north of Columbia, not too far though.
I'll bet my roommate would have fun going to a lolita meet-up with me if we ever got one planned. (:
Anyhoo, I'm sure someone will move this for you soon.

I think perhaps the best thing we can do while I settle in.... (my first two or three weeks are going to be insane) would be to perhaps message each other.... so that our first meeting goes as smoothly as possible. If your roommate is comfortable with going to our meeting... then sure n_n.

I'm in a small college town, and there isn't much for us to do.
My roommate isn't a lolita, and I only have casual pieces that I can wear, but I'm sure that she'd be just as glad to go with me to Columbia for a visit as I would. Plus, we both know where the good restaurants are, so we can help you get settled. (:
Are you going to Mizzou? Or one of the other schools in the area?
Is your family moving with you, or are you moving alone?

n_n Don't worry about the clothing... as long as you look nice... I wont mind....
Most of my good items will be in storage until we've settled in so the same will go for me.... so will my sewing tools sweatdrop stressed I love sewing so.. that's a bit... annoying.
I don't know what college I'm going to.... sweatdrop and as far as my family..... half my family (main family) will be in Missouri.... such as my step mother and my father.......
The college stuff is still being taken care of... I have to meet the dean or something like that when I get there....
Also.. I've only been given about 4 days.... down to 1 and a half now.. to pack, so I'm totally stressing...
I've never flown so now..... sweatdrop xd whee I'm kind of.... rather nervous.
Also... exploring the resaurants sounds lovely.... And you boconnotto? What do you like to do? .....I want to ask more but... sweatdrop redface

I'm a graphic design major, so it's cliche, but--I love to draw.
I'm also learning to sew right now, so I'm trying to build my wardrobe up that way. (:
Columbia's a pretty nice town, really.
It's not too huge, but it's not too small, either. If you find it's not to your tastes, I'm sure there are also St. Louis Lolitas who would be glad to have a meet-up? That's not too far from Columbia, about an hour and a half to two hour drive.

I'm finally here... after running around frantically and then flying.. sweatdrop ack... when I got off the plane I couldn't even walk strait.... anyways... what's it like studying graphic design?... Still trying to register for school.... it'll be atleast 2 weeks before we can meet n_n;. Also... I would enjoy meeting the other girls as well... ummmm.. when we have our meet up.... my step mom will be coming with me.. probly.. but she's awsome so I'm sure you'll like her too...

Just curious [and if this is too much information for you to give out, that's fine], how old are you exactly? You said you're transferring to a new college, but that's a bit vague. I don't want your step mom to freak out if my roommate and I are much older than you. o__o;

That's not a bother.... I'm 20 but I don't think she'll mind.... she's planning on going to school with me so n_n. If perhaps you could tell me your age as well? As long as she's there when we meet then she says it's okay........

My roommate and I are both about 22.
She's going to be in a couple weeks, I will be in October. So that shouldn't be problematic, then. (:
Anyway, uhm. What would you like to do for the meet-up? There are a few restaurants in town that are pretty nice for just hanging out--but would you prefer to do something else? A shopping trip, perhaps? A tour of the town?
I have to consult with my roommate on it, but I'm sure she'll have some suggestions for any of the above.

rofl With the way you were talking about age difference... my step mom was thinking you were older then that.... If I was still 18 she'd have an issue... becuase you'd be an adult and I'd be a teen but this age gap is fine. She says she looks forward to meeting you both as well. When we meet it'll be in a restaurant.... because the atmosphere will be more relaxed.

When you said that you were moving with your family and changing colleges, I kind of somehow assumed that it was one of those pseudo-genius things where you were home schooled and got in early or something, especially since you said your step-mom was coming.
I didn't want anyone to think I was like, a child molester or something. haha
What sort of restaurant would you like?
There are several really awesome Greek restaurants in town, as well as a sushi place, a few Indian places, and several chain-style restaurants and grills.
