The sun peaked over the top of the near by hills as dawn approached the savahna a white rogue lioness was now prowling. She had already hunted last night, and wasn't seeking shelter, but looking around. During the day her star faded, and she was lost until night fall. She usually tried to travel by night, but she wasn't tired.
This morning she was full of nervous energy. She had once again left the Cheetah's territory and was off trying to find that group of lions she had heard of. No doubt she'd have no luck finding them. The poor femme was just not lucky with the way fate played with her lately.
She had been going on in circles for a while now, and assumed that was unlucky.
But looking around now, she realized she had no idea where she was. Maybe her star was taking her closer to the Ngoro-whats it crater? Who knows. Perhaps if she passed any other creatures she'd stop and ask them if they knew of this crater. It seemed not many did, oh well. Perhaps she would find another group of lions to go look for.

The leopardess laid upon a thick branch, her paws and tail hanging off. Nyemoga's stomach gurgled it's needs to female as she groaned back a response. She sucked. Completely sucked. At hunting. And for some reason, she failed at scavenging other kills. Perhaps it was because she lacked a mother to teach her to hunt? That may be why.
The fem stared at the clear sky, praying for the day to cool. She missed her hill homeland, where she could freely roam without worrying about the sun and needing water so much. But no, this was not her hills. This was indeed also lonely. Not even the sounds of large herds could cure her loneliness. She hadn't had any interaction in a long time. Since she was born she believed.
The fem had wandered the vast majority of her life, she had an idea of what territory she would be in but now she had lost track. The loneliness had corrupted her normally intellectual mind. She needed to cure that.

The white lioness' ears flickered forward as she lowered her maw and caught scent of another in the area. She couldn't recognize the species, but knew it was most likely female. She scanned the grasses around her and spotted a few imprints that could have been made by another big cat. It wasn't cheetah, no. Dimu was very familiar with that scent.
She stalked around the grasses chasing the scent as it darted here and there then dissapeared near a few large tree's. Dimu's tail lashed out behind her as she gazed around the grasses, looking for the one who this scent belonged to.
It wasn't until she lifted her head above her shoulders that she caught scent of the leopardess up in the branches above her. She gazed up and raised a brow. The Leopardess looked just like a lion, maybe less bulky and a bit smaller... but practically the same. Well... the tail lacked the same tassle a lion did.
Dimu was, however, very curious as to who and what this creature above her was. "Hello." She said brightly, trying to show she was friendly and not one who would attack, or wish to cause harm to the other femme.

Nye opened her eyes lazily, peering over her paw. Oh my. It was a lion. But...the other fem didn't seem malicious. Perhaps even friendly. The other was also one of the odd colors! Oh how beautiful. She liked it very much. The fem climbed down from her high tower, landing gracefully upon the ground below. Her tail flicked side to side, her head tilted a bit.
Upon her face she held a large smile. It was company. She couldn't complain to that. At least she didn't have to run for her life. That's a good thing. Nye straightened her head, the smile growing larger. "Uhm...Hi. Who're you?"

Dimu watched the leopardess carefully as she sprung, rather gracefully, from the tree and landed neatly near the white lioness. Dimu returned the smile this other femme wore so openly. Dimu was glad this other seemed just as friendly as her, but was taken aback by the greeting. But she responded never the less.
"I am M'Dimu Chanua. But I do prefer to be called Dimu... may I inquire after your name?" She asked egarly, her ears flickering towards the leopardess in anticipation. She really just wanted to barrage the femme with questions about what she was. Dimu had never heard of, or seen a leopard, and this was a very new and wonderful experience for her.

Nyemoga tilted her head. The other spoke very...oddly. Well, not oddly. Just more complicated. Did a lot of other creatures talk like that? Maybe she was the odd one. She wouldn't know. There were very few people she spoke to in her lifetime. Herself didn't count. She didn't think it counted. Maybe it did.
The fem shook her head. Interaction would most likely cure her from this...whatever it was called. "My name is Nyemoga'Meboto. Uhm...I guess you could call me...Nye. Or something else. I've never had someone else say my name before. So I really don't have any idea how this is supposed to go." Smile. A big bright smile was upon her maw. Well, it was the truth. She really didn't know. Her ears were perked, the joy of finally talking to someone, besides herself, was...a really good feeling.

Dimu blinked curiously. This creature hadn't spoken to anyone before Dimu? Ever? How terrible! Dimu now felt ashamed that she had felt lonely before. How could she now feel lonely when she had just found out she was the first creature to ever talk to this leopard before her.
"Ah well, first time for everything. And Nye sounds perfect, I shall call you that." Dimu would admit she had a very regal and polite way of speech. Her words were polite and complicated yes, but she had learned to be polite as she had wandered through rogue lands and met many strange lions and such. She always noticed that being polite allowed her to escape harm where being blunt or rude would have secured her death.
"Well, Nye, I've never met another like you... may I ask what species you are?"

The darker female smiled even larger, her eyes sparkling just a bit. Her tail had stopped it's nervous flicking and was now curled around the leopardess.
Nye blinked, the other didn't know of her kind? Well that did make sense, her kind wasn't much of a visible creature. Preferring to hide than be obvious. Since she was the smaller feline of the two it was easier, and they were in fewer numbers as well. "I'm a leopard. My kind are tree climbers. Which is why our tails are different. My kind uses our tails mostly for balance when we climb" Nod nod. That is what she learned from her explorations. She had watched lions before, never speaking to them, they were very good at catching food. Of course, they were bigger and there were a lot more of them hunting.

Dimu nodded thoughtfully with this new wealth of information. Ah, so she was a leopard. Dimu would ahve to tell Uri about this encounter when she returned to his territory, as she knew she would sooner or later. Dimu smiled at the leopard and was grateful for the encounter.
"How interesting... so do you hunt bird then?" She asked raising a brow. If they were tree dwellers, then it was certain they ahd to hunt birds right? Maybe? Well, atleast it would be easy for a leopard to climb the high branches and get those delicois eggs that birds hid in their nests. Always too high for Dimu to reach, of course.

Nyemoga giggled outloud. Bird hunters, she supposed that could happen but the little things were too fast and their senses too good. At least for her they were. "No. My kind hunts the antelope. The smaller creatures. Mostly what other creatures leave behind and don't eat. We just drag our kills up to the brances so that no one else can get to them." Birds had too many feathers. And...she wasn't much of a skilled hunter, or scavenger.

Dimu blinked as the leopard laughed. Her ears were perked on full alert and she was leaning towards the silly creature, egar to hear more about her species. What a joy. Just when Dimu thought she had met them all... here was a leopard! How intreging!
She nodded at the iunformation. Ok, so no birds. "Antelope? How do leopards hunt? Solo I pressume?" She asked raising a brow. Normally Liosn hunted in prides, or hunting groups, but Dimu had no pride, or group, so techniqually she hunted solo. But she was a rogue lioness, and it was common for rogues not in a family group to do so.

Nye nodded to the other's question. "Indeed we do. But we mostly just steal another's kill. Since we're smaller and only go alone, it's hard for us to chase down our kills." It may be a sort of thievery, but it was how they survived. It wasn't like she woujld take it just as the others killed it, but more so...after they've finished with their eating. Being smaller had its advantages. They required less compared to the larger feline.

"So you're scavengers? How interesting. I've never had to scavange really..." She said thinking. She wasn't a large lioness, she was fairly average, but her build was that of a hunter, she was also quite skilled. So she never had a need to pick off scraps left by others.
"Well, you are an interesting creature Nye... but trivia facts aside. I hope you are well?" She asked, changing the topic to a more personal level. She knew enuh about leopards for now, if he had more questions she would definately come back and find this peculiar one for answers.

Orange ears perked up. It was so nice to hear someone else say her name. Of course, it was a little odd. She never really thought how signaficant it would be to her, but apparently it was.
The little leopardess tilted her head a bit, thinking. Was she well? She wasn't near the point of death, but indeed she was hungry. But of course it would be rude to admit that. She was sure it was. She didn't know how what 'normal' was for her kind, having not interatcted with them at all. "Well...I suppose I am."

Dimu's eyes grew a bit concerned. "You suppose?" She inquired. Sure this leopard was still a bit of a stranger to the white lioness, but even so, she had given Dimu information on a species she hadn't known of prior to this moment. She was sure she could help the leopard out if she needed anything.
And if she had known the leopard was hungry, she would have brought a hare or some such easy to chase down beast for the leopard to eat. It was the leat she could do for this odd creature, and her kindness to Dimu.
