Mzuza had long since realized that most of the days were sunny, weather perfect for long days out. The sun rose early each day, and she would be up the moment the light started to shine through and she would bolt straight outside for a quick drink and a jaunt around Pride Rock before returning to greet the morning with her family. She would be off again afterwards, and to where, nobody knew. She could disappear in the blink of an eye - something she creditted to the magic she always swore she possessed - and would not reappear again until the sun was low in the sky.

The little copper cub had just slipped away from under her father's watchful eye - she was sure they were all conspiring to catch her in the act of making off to play - and was headed down to her favorite tree. Ever since she had met a certain little blue cub, she had enjoyed spending her time gazing up at the cottony clouds to try to determine their shapes. She had found a cloud that looked mildly like Saf by now, or maybe it was just one of her other siblings, and she had also seen a crocodile and a couple of birds in the clouds, which drifted lazily across the sky, driven by a gentle breeze. It was a lazy day, alright. Mzuza ducked into a stretch and promptly flopped back down into the shade. There would be time to explore around later.

Noyana was running from trouble. She had an angry bird dive-bombing her, and she ran as fast as she could, taking swipes at it as she ran, hoping to get it to leave her alone. "I didn't mean to disshevel your nest, alright?" She shouted to the angry chirping thing. "I just wanted to climb the tree! Stop attacking me!" She yelled, taking shelter under the tree as the squawking bird perched above and continued to lecture the lioness. At this point, she was completely unaware that Mzuza was on the other side of the tree, but she just sat and glared at the bird, who would not shut up! Her green eyes gave the creature the nastiest look that the female could muster. After all, she hadn't done anything wrong! Her babies were ok, even! All she had done was use the branch that the nest was far out on to lift herself higher. Noyana folded her ears back, urging the bird to stop that annoying shrieking of its.

The angry shriek of a bird reached Mzuza's ears. She had heard it before, and she could recognize it instantly. The sound of an angry parent. She had only just begun to wonder what had happened when a yellow and black shape burst toward her, headed straight for the tree. The bird promptly landed on one of its branches, still shrieking away incessantly. Mzuza flattened her ears. If there was one thing she disliked about birds, it was the multitude noises they were capable of making. Who needed to hear it?

Obviously the yellow lion was not enjoying her day with the bird. Mzuza sized up the tree. Perhaps she was just tall enough to make the jump. She crept up behind the bird, although with the single-minded racket it was making, an elephant could have stomped up and it wouldn't have noticed. The copper cub leaped, planting three paws into the tree trunk and using her hind legs to push as she reached out with the fourth to swat blindly at the bird.

"Oh hush!" Noyana yelled at it again. Then, soon after, bark landed on her head, making her look up wondering if the bird had managed to loosen such large chunks of wood. The bird, though, still complaining, was flying away from a copper colored cub, who had climbed up and scared the thing away. Noyana was immediately relieved.

"Hi there," She said to the figure up in the tree, green tail flicking behind her. "I'm sorry to have brought such a rucus, if you were resting. That dumb bird just wouldn't leave me alone, and I didn't see you." Her green eyes watched to see if the cub could get down. "Need any help?"

Mzuza still clung tightly onto the tree trunk as she looked down with a grin. "Oh that's okay. I didn't have much to do anyway." She looked down, seeing the loose bark that lay on the ground. "Sorry if that hit you." She added sheepishly, waving her free paw at the bark. She had forgotten how much she didn't like climbing. There was only one thing hard about it, and that was getting off. She had never quite enjoyed the sensation of falling backwards. She wasn't about to let go of the stupid tree...

"Yea, I could use some help," She admitted with a slight frown of concentration as she tried to ease her claws out of the bark. That didn't work. She simply didn't want to let go. Oh dear... She shifted some of her weight so she didn't feel so much as if she were falling, and glanced down. The ground didn't seem that far down, but she still didn't fancy hitting it from where she was.

"Right, help," Noyana said, more to herself than anything. It really wasn't a very tall tree, and Mzuza really wasn't that high up, but still, Noyana didn't know quite how she could help. She took a quick look around her in search of something that could be of help. "Stupid bird," she muttered inaudiably. Yes, if that bird hadn't come, Mzuza wouldn't be up a tree, and Noyana wouldn't be about to do this.

There was a boulder- not so much a boulder as a decent-sized rock- off in the distance. "Wait there," She told the cub as she headed off towards it. It'd be easy enough to roll, and flat enough to land on. It was a good thing Noyana was a strong lioness, or this would never work. She reached it, went past it a bit, ran towards it, and slammed into it with a shoulder blade, forcing the rock to move. A couple more bashes and it was in a good spot for Mzuza to land on... Only now, she was facing the entire wrong way.

"Go up on the branch, if you can, then turn around and use the rock as a stepping stone," She said up to the cub. She was sure it would work.

Mzuza watched as Noyana shoved the rock over. She looked down at it, trying to see how far away it was. She considered Noyana's suggestion, to climb up and turn around. But she could see that the branch was still just high enough that once she got up there, she wouldn't want to jump down. For a moment, she did nothing, then she had an idea. "Wait, let's just see if..." She unhooked a hind paw from the bark and reached down. She could just about almost touch the rock if she really stretched. "How bout I try just doing this..." She hooked onto the tree with her other forepaw, and untangled her other hind paw, clinging onto the bark tightly as she stretched down. Almost... There! Her paws just barely touched the rock. That was good enough. She let go with her forepaws, and landed lightly, although off balance, and she tumbled onto the ground.

She was up again in a blink and grinning widely. "Thanks!" She bobbed her head brightly as she recovered from the little fall. She would have been stuck there a whole lot longer if Noyana hadn't been around to help her out. "I'm Mzuza."

Noyana gave a quick nod as she, too, introduced herself. "I'm Noyana, nice to meet you." Noyana had no idea that Mzuza was of the royal family... She strongly disagreed with Kami's passiveness. She believed that the Pride belonged to Taka, and supported his grandcubs, who were roaming the lands now. They seemed nice enough to her...

But all that was besides the point, though it constantly ran through the back of her head. Noyana saw today- as she saw most days-as another adventure. "So, you got any ideas about what to do today?" She asked playfully. Who knew? Perhaps Mzuza was chock full of great places to see.
