Kairi walked into the busy pub from the busy London streets.
She looked around and found one empty table, a big one with many crumbs on it.
Kairi walked up to the tall, wooden table and wiped up the many-colored crumbs before ordering herself a butterbeer and sitting down.
She set her blue, bronze, and black messenger bag on the back of her chair and sipped her warm drink.
Her eyes wandered around the Leaky Cauldron, taking in every odd and interesting thing that caught her eye.
She finished off the small drink and set the mug down to her right.
"I hope someone I know or at least recognize comes in...sitting alone at a pub is kind of sad..."
As she said this, she smiled and a thought came to mind.
Kairi, in one swift movement, opened her bag and took out some parchment, quill, and some ink.
She was about to finish the last of her summer homework.
"I love school and all, but this is just torture!"

Romilda walked into the Leaky Cauldron
from the busy streets of Diagon Ally. She
ordered a butterbeers from the barman an
glanced around for an empty table.
However, all of them were already occupied by
several guests. She groaned and decided
to sit at a big table in the back, which had
one lonely person at it. As she made her way
through the crowded pub she noticed it was
a Hogwarts student. She recognized her as a ravenclaw,
but wasn't sure of the name. She sat as far away from
the girl as the table would allow.

Kairi looked up from her work as a girl sat down at her table.
She recognized the girl as a Slytherin at her school.
Kari put her quill down and said, "Hello, you're a Slytherin right? I'm Myana, Kairi Myana. Whats your name?"
As Kairi finished the introduction, she rolled up her finished homework and put it back into her bag.
Kairi sipped her butterbeer as the girl realized she was being spoken to.

"Yes, I'm in Slytherin," she said, trying to
sound friendly. "My name's Romilda Zabini,"
she said smiling. "What house are you in?"

Kairi smiled at the slight friendliness of the voice.
"Thats a cool name. I'm a Ravenclaw."
Kairi pointed at her messenger bag, decorated in her house colors.
"What year are you?"
Kairi finished off her butterbeer and set it down.
She was glad that she had someone to talk to, even if it was a partially unknown Slytherin.

"I'm going to be a third year," she said
happily. She was excited for the hogsmeade visits.

"Mama, I'm sorry, I know this is the third day in a row, but I have nothing else to do anyways-" Penelope dropped her talking when she saw her Mother was clearly not amused, staring straight ahead. Her dark brown eyes squinting.
"You have plenty to do! Spend time with your family, perhaps?" Mama answered, nodding her head to Lauren in the back seat. Lauren was reading her new math book for school, and Penelope turned back in her seat to look at her sister. Lauren looked up at her for a moment, looking rather unamused, and then looked back down to her book. "First day you wandered around, second day you talked with people, today, Penelope, you are getting your school supplies. That is that."
"Yes, Mama," Penelope blushed as her mother stopped in front of the Leaky Cauldron. Getting out of the car, Penelope waved wearily to her Mother before she fiercely drove out. She noticed Lauren looking out of the car, grinning mildly.
Heading over to the Leaky Cauldron, Penelope tripped over her feet and stumbled towards the door. Pulling open the door Penelope swore in Italian and English, heading over to the bar to regain her balance. Looking around she saw a girl that looked familiar, Kairi, a Ravenclaw 4th year. All thoughts of shopping forgotten, Penelope ordered a gillywater and headed over to the table, sitting down at a random place. "Ciao, everyone."

Kairi said to Romilda "Thats cool, your third year is always fun. Especially Hogsmeade, thats a blast!"
Suddenly someone new came to the table, greeting everyone with a bright voice.
It was Penelope, the Hufflepuff Kairi had met yesterday.
Kairi beamed at the kind and familiar face.
"Hey! Nice to see you again!"
Kairi remembered Romilda.
"Oh, this is Romilda, shes a third year Slytherin," Kairi put a small emphasis on the word 'Slytherin' as to say that she was not sure on her feelings toward the girl who bore the green colors while at Hogwarts.
"Romilda, this is my Hufflepuff friend, Penelope."
Kairi turned back towards Penelope, "So did you come back today just to have a drink, or did you remember you didn't buy any supplies yesterday?"
As Kairi said this she had a slightly saracastic grin on her face.
She sipped her newly filled butterbeer, the waitress having refilled her mug without her noticing.

"Nice to meet you!" Penelope grinned brightly towards Romlida, straightening her glasses, and then taking a sip from her gillywater. "Slytherin, eh? Your not that far from my common room, I think, maybe..." she thought for a moment. "Yeah, you're not that far away. I still haven't found it though. Curse you Slytherins." She laughed then turned to Kairi.
"Oh, yeah, well, Mama wasn't too pleased," she pulled an annoyed face. "Mama has work tomorrow, finally, so I can just ride the tube and finish the shopping then." Penelope rubbed the back of her head awkwardly, taking another sip, then stirring her staw. "But hey, Mama should just go shopping with me if she's so worried about me getting my school supplies. Though she finds all the magic stuff a bit scary, she loves it though."

under the table with her foot.

Kairi grinned.
"Yeah, its hard to get side-tracked in this place. Theres so many odd things that will catch your eye.
Well, maybe in a minute we can go and look around and get your stuff while we're at it."
Kairi gulped down part of her cooling drink and picked up her bag.
She opened the bag covered in the Ravenclaw colors and took out her list.
"I noticed last night that I had forgotten a new cage for my owl. Her old one broke near the beginning of the summer and I forgot to get a new one yesterday."
Kairi looked at the list and circled the word 'cage' on the long list, full of lines and circles and words.
"I think thats the only thing... hm.. yeah. So we can get your stuff and my thing together."
Kairi smiled again as she finished off her butterbeer, deciding that was her last, set it near the edge of the table and put her bag back on her chair.

"I need books, some wand cleaner, new stores for potions...though I'm not taking it, I just like making things explode...and," she thought for a moment. "Oh! New robes, mine are too frayed and have this nasty potions stain on them from my final last year." She shrugged in an awkward way and yawned. "And probably some treats for Catastrophe, she likes those bird shaped treats I always get her...though we run out of them a month into the school year." Looking into her bag, Penelope brought out some muggle money and a calculator. "I still need to trade in my money too." Comparing the muggle money to wizarding money rates for a moment, she pushed the money bag into her bag. "I have enough I think for the cat treats..."

Kairi smiled at the thought of Potions.
"Potions is always fun when something explodes.
Oh... I was wondering. Where is the Hufflepuff common room? Whats it like?
I've never really know much about any other common room.. except for mine obviosly."
Kairi thought for a moment at the circular, airy tower that was the Ravenclaw common room and dormitories.
"I really want school to start," Kairi said before Penelope could answer, "summer is so boring. School is always interesting......"

Roxette Snicket walked smoothly into the dusty old bar. She ordered a butterbeer from the decrepit barman and paid him, glided over to a secluded corner and began to sip gingerly from her mug. She watched the other people in the pub very quietly, not once attempting to catch their attention. She set down her half empty mug on a battered old coaster and took out her list of school equipment. Young as she was, Roxette was perfectly used to doing things alone.
"A wand..." she accidently mumbled aloud, pushing a strand of her sleek raven hair behing her ears, emerald eyes scanning the parchment.
Looking up in embarrassment, pale cheeks tinged pink, she saw she had finally caught the interest of the other customers.

Kairi suddenly noticed someone new in the bar.
After hearing a mumble, Kairi looked down at a table in the corner and saw a blushing first year looking around to see if anyone heard her speak.
Kairi jumped down from the chair and walked over to the girl.
"Hello, do you need any help?"
