Name : Anne Astley Gender : Female Age : 15 Year : Fifth House : Hufflepuff
Ethnicity : Caucasian Hair Colour : Brown Eye Colon : Brown
Pet : None Wand : Unicorn hair, Oak, 13''
Family : Father - Dean Astley - Muggle - 52 - Senior Manager at Marks and Spencer’s Mother - Jane Astley - Muggle - 40- Primary School Teacher Brother - George Astley - Muggle - 13- Student at Parkfield Community School Sister- Amelia Astley - Muggle - 8 - Student at Newton Primary School
A Bit About Him/Her : Anne is tall and fat, with long brown hair which is usually tied back. During exams she lets it down and uses it to shield her work from prying eyes, students and teachers alike. She usually looks very severe and slightly forbidding, but she loves to laugh and smile and often makes people laugh, even if her humour can be slightly... inappropriate at times.
Even after 4 years at Hogwarts she's still a little bemused at the idea of magic and a secret magical society. Delighted, but confused. When her Hogwarts letter first arrived, along with it's requisite staff member, she was sceptical. As were her parents. It took some fast talking on Professor Wilcox's part but he finally convinced the Astley's by transfiguring the coffee table into a puppy. He changed it back, of course, but in the Astley household it's still referred to as Rex.
She was sorted into Hufflepuff after a short conversation with the sorting hat. She already knew she lacked the driving ambition of Slytherin, the overwhelming drive for knowledge of Ravenclaw, the desperate desire for acknowledgement of the Gryffindors. However, Hufflepuff seemed like the perfect house. A group she could belong to and call her friends, who she could rely on and who she could help in return. The hat concurred.
She loves the magical world and loves learning about it, even though she often feels inadequate compared to other students, raised in a magical families.
Anne's a little lazy and will copy homework off of housemates work if they'll let her. But she's always happy to help them out and help them with their own work whenever they need it. She knows the work, she just hates writing it down.
Anne's generous, loyal and generally good-natured. She's also highly practical and critical of her own faults. Lacking in self-confidence and with a strong desire to blend in, she's the quintessential Englishman. Unfortunately, her gobby nature and short temper means she often jumps into situations and makes a mess of them before she's had time to think. However, she forgives easily and is usually the first to say she stepped out of line and that she's sorry.
((Holy crap, that's way more than a bit. Sorry. But it's all for deeper characterisation, eh?))
A Moment By Himself/Herself : Anne rubbed her eyes and stretched. This homework for Lancaster was taking far longer than she’d hoped. Why she’d taken Ancient Runes she’d never know. Temporary insanity maybe. Should have taken Muggle Studies. That would’ve been a right doss. She slammed her copy of The Ancient Art of Runes closed and shoved her chair back from her desk. She smiled wryly to herself. Leaving homework till the last minute was the real cause of her stress. Ah, sod it, she thought, I’ll finish it tomorrow.
She climbed into bed, wriggled till she was comfortable and grabbed a book from her bedside table. A muggle book, by Terry Pratchett. Even though she was part of the magical world she loved reading muggle fantasy. So near, yet so far.
Her stomach clenched with an empty feeling of dread. OWLs were this school year. She deliberately pushed it aside and opened her book. They weren’t ‘til June. Plenty of time.

Where to start? I think it's an amazing thought out profile. I love how you did a full psychological layout of her, don't worry if it's too big. There's no such thing as too big a description as long as it's a good one. And I must admit it's amusing imagining wizards reading Terry Pratchett and laughing at it. Anyways, welcome to Hogwarts. smile
