This is a little biased to ask here but i think i should ask it anyway (it has somethings to do with MAs)
I do karate, in 5 weeks i am hopefully doing my second grading (though i missed a month of karate due to being away). It is on a Thursday
I go to the Air Cadets also, it takes place on a Monday and Thursday
now then, here is my conundrum
I want to do both, but they overlap. I have my karate belt + outfit, and i am soon getting my Air Cadets clothes too.
So, can someone give me some advice. i want to go to the air cadets because of careers, and i want to go to karate for enjoyment and fitness... also it seems a shame to give it up so soon after getting into it
which do you think is more important? and unless i change clubs i cant do both as they overlap
need any more info or got questions/opinions, please say
cheers

Take karate for now. When you turn 18 join the air force if that's your thing.
Cadets, no matter what they like to say have no real bearing on what career you are likely to get in the proper armed services. Infact, cadeties are actually looked down on by most proper service men

but i dont want to join the air force. i dont want to fight in wars, only fly for commercial use.
i get hours in my logbook (towards pilot licenese) with the cadets, i learn to fly and i get free gliding tuition.

Oh in that case pick your favourite. Cant you attend karate less than 5 times per week? Five days a week is a good amount to train but you can get by on less

If it's only 1 lesson a week, I'd give it up until you find something more frequent. Unless you do a lot of training at home, once a week doesn't do much good. sweatdrop

my sister and i invested in some pads to practise with. we are currently practising in a rented out section of a church. rumour has it that we may be moving to a proper padded area, which may change the training times... though im not sure
its tricky, i really like both so much.

In times like these you must consult the force XD, but really if you like both stick with them, but really you should find a place where you can train more than once a week, that is tough to try to progress with only one training day ever seven, you need like atleast two.

do cadets on mondays and karate on thursdays
i was a cadet when i was younger and it clashed with other commitments i had at the time but there was no problem with me only going to the squadron once a week
