...seriously depress the ******** out of me.
Hot Topic Size Converts To: X-Small 0 - 1 Small 3 - 5 Medium 7 - 9 Large 9 - 11 X-Large 11 - 13 2XL 13 - 15 Which is funny and annoying, because everything I do buy at Hot Topic is usually medium. But at the same time I struggled to fit into one of their fairy-themed t-shirts; which was a large. Sometimes I wish clothes would be all the same time such as an eight will always be eight. Or a small will always be equal to this. Or maybe they just need to make clothes that actually fit to one's body type. That would be hard on the other hand.
See, I could eaisly fit into a medium in one store. But the next I am stuck wearing a large.
A lot of times I am stuck buying clothes that do not fit me right. I am more bottom heavy, but I am pretty small up top. Minus my large chest, which was a present from the wonderful world of genetics. No tank top ever seems to fit my shoulders right. Usually they fall down; and some of them are adjustiable. But the shirt never fits me right at the hips, which aren't as thin as I wish they were at times. Okay, they are huge. But my chest seems to be the problem.
It's hell finding a bathing suit that fits. When I was younger, no bikini would ever fit me because they were seemed to be made for people who were of an A or B cup size. Or it could be that most people bought them before I even came to the store. I hate going to the beach because everyone I see are wearing teeny-tiny bikinis. How they lay in the sun, basking in the glow of their friends. =X No one wears one pieces anymore. Tankinis now, where I live, are considered to be an old person thing. So are one pieces. And I hate that. I don't even like bikinis on more. I like to swim, and cold water against skin at first? No.

~{ I'm strong on the surface... Not all the way through...}~
I totally hear ya. I hate sizing charts. It's like, I see a sale somewhere, and think "Sweet! I'll get something!" But then after going in, and seeing that the size I usually wear, Doesnt fit... and i end up having to try on a something a size, or two bigger... sometimes even more... It depresses me to the point where I walk out of the store empty handed, and refuse to even LOOK at clothes for the rest of the day. x.x
As for bathing suits... i hate them. Me myself, wouldn't be caught in anything but a one piece... only because I feel uber fat in anything else. Oh, who am i kidding, i feel fat in one pieces too. sweatdrop But anyways... yea... I used to love swimming. Love going down to the beach and splashing around with friends or family. And now that i've gotten older, and all i see are these girls with those bikinis and stuff, i feel even fatter, and just gave up on it all together. I still sneak over to my aunts though with my brother to go in her pool sometimes. Lol. My brother is like, the ONLY one I feel ok wearing a bathing suit in front of. And even when i wear one now, I'm still found putting shorts or something over it, to cover my large thighs. x.x
So... i guess what my point is... is... um.... Wow, i have no point. Lol. I just feel ya on how depressing size charts and whatnot are. <3
{Sorry if my post makes not much sense. sweatdrop I dont usually post in forums, because i'm afraid of sounding stupid. Im more of a lurker. heh... but I just really wanted to answer this one. >.>}

God, I hate that. It's different from shop to shop. For example, a non-chubby friend (she ALWAYS wears M or even S-sized clothes) of mine and I went shopping. Shop nr.1, she got a S-shirt, and I fit into a M. (Woah, I thought. XD) Shop nr.2, the L-shirt I tried on didn't fit me, but HER.
I really love swimming, but I haven't been in a public swimming pool for at least a year because I don't even have a real bathing suit. You CAN'T get a one-piece around here, unless you're willing to wear big pinkish floral patterns which were definitely designed for 80+. With a totally obvious built-in bra, of course. Not that built-in bras aren't useful, for me too, but I don't need everyone to see that. And now I'm terrified because as soon as school starts again for me, we'll go swiming in sportsclass. NOWAI! I'm not going to parade in front of my classmates. .-.
Although, one thing I tried out when I used a friend's private pool, I wore a tankini-top and underneath some big surfer-shorts from my brother. I felt reather comfortable in that because my fat is mainly on my belly and thighs, and in such an outfit they're not too visible. I have to say, it even looked pretty cool. :3 I like the more boy-ish style, I guess. XD

I buy most of my clothes for seven dollars a bag. If a single piece of clothing doesn't fit quite right, I'm out less than two bucks. And no sizing charts!

size charts can be a total b***h, bluntly put. Sometimes they are accurate, and sometimes they make me wonder just what large person did they measure? Like, with Lane Bryant, I can't even wear their size 26/28 jeans. They're too tight. However, if I go to Target or Wal-Mart, the jeans are a damn near perfect fit. In some cases, they're a little too big. It's depressing yes because I trust lane bryant to cater to my clothing needs sometimes. I like to treat myself but i often find that going to cheaper stores have it much better. I actually did purchase something from hot topic in my size, though. It's a size 4X zip up corset that I plan to wear on my first super fancy date. (I've worn it for uh....*ahem* other things but I won't be telling what...LOL.) It's sadly trial and error with some places. I hate to say....but....some of my best deals have been in the Southern states like TN. Some city based stores have it down pat...but...for the most part they're still trying to fit different shapes into one pair of jeans. It leaves a lot of larger ladies very unhappy....

But I've only been in there store once with my boyfriend in St. Louis, they need to build one here... or since I'll be moving up there soon they need a Lane Bryant near me there... so I'll have twice the selection whee

.bruise.pristine.serene. I agree. I hate how every store has to have different sizing.
Old Navy is the worst. All of their pants either are too small, or fall down whenever I bend over.
I have to get larger size shirts because of my boobs. gonk .we.were.born.to.lose.

I went shopping today at Kohls.
Most of the clothe I tried on would of fit me if it was not for the fact that they were suffoccating my chest. Apparently clothes designer think that evellry teenager and young adult don't have small breasts, which might be true in theory. Even if I know a fair number of people who, well, do not lack in that deparment.
And the size bigger is too baggy on me.
sweatdrop
There's a whole market out there for people who big boobs, godamnit! Someone needs to take it! Most of the clothes I wear are a size to big, but my mom insists on everything being a perfect fit on my chest. (Which is nice, but I'll take perfect fit for the rest of my body beforehand.)

Yeah sizes seem to be a bigger girl's worst enemy. Most girls seem to have to decide whether they want an xS or, god forbid, a S. >.>
I, on the other hand, have to just hope they freakin' have something that fits. It sucks finding the coolest thing ever and them having nooottthinngg in my size. T__T The worst is pants because most places don't carry anything past 14 or 15. I'm like WTF, -18 to 20 here-.
And on the subject of sizes, changing them to make bigger people feel better? AHH. Pet peeve. Lane Bryant came up with this brillant marketing strategy to change all the stupid sizes while simulatenously making the jeans shittier quality.
This lady's like, "Now we have 1-5 they've changed the sizes. It took them three years and -insert boring bullshit ramble they taught them- now they're much better."
Pfft PLEASE. I would rather be a ********' 18 or 20 and KNOW what I'm doing them to be a damn five and have these shitty jeans. Plus I swear they told the sales people to always tell the people they look smaller then they are. Which, while nice, is just a freaking hassle in my opinion. "Oh.. Yay you thought I was a one, but now I have to not only go back a second time to put back jeans I already knew wouldn't fit while trying to avoid you and your idiocy and waste time."
-End rant-
It just bothers me. Like the sizing I guess isn't that bad and the idea of different body types is actually pretty good, but the fact that it's just a marketing ploy to sell shitty jeans pisses me off. crying

The material isn as stretchy as the outfit I got from Hot Topic, Kohls, or any other place I have shopped. To me, I can fit into a medium or large sized shirt. But the shirt just clings to my chest because everything are made for these girls who barely have any breast. At the moment I am losing weight, and my cup size remains the same. (Clothes usually are extra small, small, medum, large, extra large. Pants are the one with two, three, etc.) Yesterday I found the cutest, black with white polka dot dress. It fit me perfectly on the stomach, the waist, my hips, etc. But my breasts were too bit for it. Seriously.

I've never really had a problem with the 14/16, 18/20 thing...but that's because I'm an 18/20 and everything I try on there pretty much fits right.
Now my bottom is a 22 at least.
I also have problems shopping online 'cause a lot of places say to get a bigger size if you have a larger stomach... my stomach is apparently larger than the rest of me, because while my hips and boobs will fit just perfectly into the smaller size, my stomach won't have it. So I'm always afraid to order online, although if I did I'd probably go with the smaller size, since I wear my clothes tight, anyways.
I've tried on some shirts before, though, and while they fit the rest of me... if they're the kind with some line across the boobs they'll actually cut into my boob, and I'll have a double boob effect going on. My friend who is tiny and a A/B cup (I don't remember which), and I (a D cup) tried on the same shirt and it was hanging off of her and doing the double boob thing for me.
Thanks, clothing manufacturers.
