If we evolved from the organisms in water that eventually turned into the creatures of the Protozoaic era, then how come the living organisms in water now don't evolve?
In theory I could say because in primordial soup, the water was pure clean. Nowadays because of pollution and littering, even the smallest streams are dirty.

I'd also like to add, that perhaps evolution has stopped because we, in god's image, are the perfect form of evolution.

but god has no real image so how can we be sure were his perfect image?
