The following shall be a comprehensive listing of Greek primordial deities and their associations, together forming the Cosmology of the mythic universe.

Note: Greek Mythology is full of conflicting and incongruous myths, so the genealogies I use will not be the only versions. I will attempt to keep it as accurate and consistent as possible, but some relationships (particularly between Daimones) are pure guesswork.

They were often considered to be giant in stature, although it’s more likely they were human statured and merely changed their size as they saw fit. Their place of meeting was Mount Othrys. When their father Ouranos descended to lie with Gaia, Hyperion, Krios, Koios and Iapetos--posted at the four corners of the world--seized hold of their father and held him fast while the youngest, Kronos castrated him with a sickle. For this, Ouranos called them the Titanes Theoi, or straining gods, and he cursed Kronos, that he might know what it was to be usurped by his own progeny. The six Titanes inherited their father’s dominion over the ordering of the heavens. Kronos governed the Golden Age and oversaw the harvest. Krios regulated the constellations and the seasons. Koios controlled the axis of heaven, around which the constellations revolved. Hyperion fathered the lights of heaven. Iapetos was the ancestor of man, governing the spans of mortal creatures. Okeanos encircled the lands of the earth, watching over the rising and setting of the heavenly bodies. Later, the Titanes (except for Okeanos) fought against the Olympians in the Titanomakhia, and lost. They were condemned to imprisonment in the deepest pits of Tartaros. In fear of a prophecy that he would be in turn be overthrown by his own son, Kronos swallowed each of his children as soon as they were born. Rhea managed to save the youngest, Zeus, by tricking Kronos into swallowing a stone and hiding the child on the island of Krete.
