It was Chakelete's favorite time of the day, and he perked up when he noticed the sky was starting to vanish in its blueish tone. He loved the sunset, and he also loved watching to sky as it shifted tones. Once again he was in a new area, and he scoped about to find a good spot to rest. Everyday was a new travel for him, and he found today especially exhausting since the sun was so hot. The Sunset was a good reminder of rest for him, and he would always take a much needed break before venturing out again in the late night.
He had been in a plainy area for days, with long grass that would itch his legs. He didn't mind the plains, since it was easy to stay narrowed on a straight path. But the scenery tended to get dull after awhile.
Finding a small bustle of thin trees, the brown male stretched his body out and took a nice long fall on the ground. Rolling his body around for a second, he chuckled at his playful sense, but then brought his eyes on the now pink sky, since his favorite show was about to start!

Ianthe was trotting along, singing to herself as she watched the beautiful colours all around her. Purples where her favourte colour (I wonder where that came from?) and she was feeling very happy today. She had found more pretty flowers, spent the day watching them as they basked in the warm African sun. She was a simple girl, wanting nothing more then to look at everything pretty, and see as much as she could see.
Her ears perked up as she saw someone rolling around. Oooh? Who could that be? Well, only one way to find out! Ianthe steered herself away from her senseless trotting to a new point; under those trees!
Feeling like it was something of a game, she took some quiet steps, quite slowly as well, trying to be as quiet as she could be. And even though the sky was showing off it's brilliant shades of pink and purple, they weren't quite the same tone as hers, so she didn't blend in as well as she wished. Not that she noticed, though.
"Hiya~!" she called out, quitting her game quite early since she couldn't decide where to take her next step. The purple and green wild dog seemed excited to see another, and another wild dog at that!

Chakelete WAS surprised, and he turned his head so quickly that he almost lost his balance on his back!
But, being the overly positive creature that he was, he brought a wide smile on his face and adjusted his body so that it looked normal on the ground. "Why hello!" Wow, someone had actually approached him? How lucky was he! It had been a few days since he had seen anybody, so he felt his tail wag incredibly fast and his energy level bounced up again. It was like his body had forgotten that he had traveled all day long.
But, bringing his attention back on his new aquaintence, he felt compelled to let his eyes notice the many colors that were on her body. Chakelete was almost jealous, since he just loved bright colors!
"How are you doing this evening? Isn't it just wonderful tonight!" He continued to smile at her, and wondered if he was as mean as the other female he had met. Well.. if this one had approached him, didn't that mean she was probably nice? Chakelete figured that he would take his chances and just have fun for once, and hope for the best.

"Hiya!" she said again, happy to be talking to someone. She normally looked and acted so odd that others didn't approach her, but she didn't really realize it most of the time. How did you notice silly things like that when you were in the middle of flower hunting? Or watching a pretty bird fly by?
She sat herself down quite comfortably under the trees as if she had been openly invited to join him. She took a moment to look at the sky before turning her attention back to him. "Sure is pretty today, huh?" She paused for a moment before laughing, just noticing that he had asked nearly the same question. "I am well! I am spent though, looking for pretty flowers can be daunting after a while."
Her smile was warm and bright, though not as bright as the sun; nothing could beat that! "I'm Ianthe, by the way. Pleased to meet you! Aaaah, the sunset is so pleasant tonight, very colourful." The clouds seemed to gather up most of the colour, and her pink eyes couldn't help but get caught up in them.

Well, she certainly was the most friendly creature he had met! He watched her comfortably sit, and was glad she had come to join him. Finally, some fun company!
"Today was very enjoyable." he first stated, and he grinned at her mention of flowers. "What is your favorite kind of flower, and color?" he wasn't very good at picking up on flowers, but they did bother his nose from time to time, since their scents were incredibly distracting! "So were you searching around for flowers then?" Maybe flower searching was something that took a lot of effort? Chakelete really had no clue, but he stayed smiley and cheery while learning about the female.
"I am Chakelete! I am thankful that you found me, I am always looking for some company." he watched her turn her attention to the sky, and he followed her by doing the same. "This is my favorite time of the day, its so easy to relax and stay comfortable. Do you enjoy the sunset?" He did tend to over-appreciate little things, but if Ianthe liked flowers, then maybe she was sorta like that too?

"Yes!" Ianthe exclaimed, trying to keep herself from giggling. "I really like pretty things, and Mama always thought flowers were the prettiest thing. See, my name means violet flower, so I just...feel special when I'm with flowers." She pondered over the bit about her favourite flower, and colour. "Well," she pondered, carefully picking out her words. "I like all flowers, really. The way they soak up the sun and sway in the breeze....it's so relaxing! I think the ones that are really colourful might be my favourite, though. They're harder to find, since they like the jungle more then the savannah lands." Ianthe herself liked the open lands of the savannah much more then the jungle, but she would go peek in there from time to time to see what was around.
"I think my favourite colour though is purple," she stated, unsurprisingly. "It reminds me of my puphood a lot, and those were full of happy times." She smiled warmly before turning her attention back to the sky. "What about you?" She let the question about liking the sunset drop, figuring she'd answer it after she heard a bit more about Chakelete.

Now that he looked at her, she did resemble a flower very much! For a moment he just quietly listened, and enjoyed hearing another speak so passionately about something. "It is fun to see all of the flowers everywhere, you can tell how varied they become in the different landscapes." He had seen all sorts of flowers, and Ianthe would have been in heaven if she had seen all he had seen!
"You should travel, it is a great way to see all of the flowers that are scattered about." he then added, while pawing at the ground slightly. But, he did grin when she said her favorite color was purple, and that made him smile a bit. "So you were most happy when you were a pup?" Hopefully she was still happy now.. "Why is that, if I may ask?"
He then thought about what he wanted to say, and shook his head. "Sadly I don't know much about certain flowers, but I see them a lot because I travel a lot. I am always moving, and looking for new areas.." A part of him wondered what the female was asking, initially.

She smiled at him, her head moving to make eye contact with Chakelete. "Hehe, I meant your colour, too. You're such a nice shade of brown, I'm sure you blend in well for hunting!" Ianthe always had a problem with hunting, so she had turned more into a scavenger then a real hunter, but she didn't mind too well, as long as she got to eat!
"Oh! I'm sorry if you worried about me. I loved my puphood since I spent so much time with my mother, it was nice. But once you get older you kinda want to be out on your own, right? I'm just lost enough that I don't remember where home is, so I haven't seen her for a while," she said, matter of factly, not a hint of sadness in her tone. She'd see her mother again someday, she knew it. "It's always nice to have memories to think of on days like this. Just makes me enjoy life more!"

"My color?" he brought his red eyes down on his body to as much as he could see, and chuckled at the brown and gold. "I guess I do blend in pretty well, though wouldn't it be more fun to stick out?" Ianthe had such wonderful colors on her, he wondered if it caused her problems compared to others. He had seen many who had plainer tones like him, that he never realized that there were some with brighter colors. Though, he was always happy to see more colors everywhere, it made things like the plains brighter.
Hearing her speak about her mother made him smile again, and he shook his head lightly. "I suppose I have no reason to worry then, you seem quite happy as is!"
Now.. there were so many things to wonder about this female.. like where did she appear from?! He had rested and found the tree, and he hadn't taken the time to learn about the area very much, and who inhabited it. "So do you live in a pack, Ianthe? Or do you prefer to wander alone like some do?" It had been awhile since he had run into one of a pack, so he was curious as to how she lived her life.

Ianthe shook her head. It was the first time her smile shrank, though there was one still on her face. "No, I live alone. I have heard stories of packs, but I guess I just want to see everything I can before thinking about a pack. Maybe I'll return to my own pack someday. Only the gods can tell, and I'm fine with not knowing yet."
She gazed back up at the sky, noticing that there were tiny bits of blue following after the purple. Aaah, so the sunset wouldn't last a whole lot longer. What a pity! If only Ianthe could capture such pretty moments and look upon them whenever she wanted to. She must just have to do her best to remember it, then.
"Though living alone is nice!" She perked her ears up. "I can go wherever I want to, exploring and seeing all there is to see." Her tail popped up and wagged a bit, accenting her joy. "Is that why you are alone, Chakelete?"

Ianthe was so positive and happy, and it was strange to meet someone so similar to him! Traveling alone definitely had its drawbacks, and being lonely was just a bump in the journey. "Yeah, that's exactly what I do, too." he said, with a solemn nod. "It gets hard though, ya know? You can go for days without seeing anybody.. but, I try to stay positive!" he then corrected himself and perked up.
Not everyone was perfect, and he sighed for a moment, only because his bouncy expression couldn't hide everything he was thinking. "What do you mean, return to your own pack?" he then realized, and brought his attention back on her. That was an interesting statement, and he wondered what else this female had in her past.
"Though I guess it is lucky, that we both stumbled upon this area at the same time. And here I was thinking it was just gonna be another silent night." Which thankfully, it wasn't.

"Luck indeed~!" Ianthe was pleased that she found another so excited about life and what it held. It gave her hope, since not everyone she came across was so happy. She wanted to make everyone happy, and she would try her best to, but tonight she could jsut relax. Chakelete seemed quite happy, even admitted it, so she would take the time to soak in everything around her.
"Oh?" Her attention was drawn back to his question. "Well, my pack is pretty far south of here, I just wandered up here to see what there was. It's really nice, I think I like it more." She smiled briskly before continuing. "So many nice folk here, I like it. Plus, even though I might not see anyone else for a couple days, there's the chance I can meet someone nice, like you, Chakelete."

"Well I am glad you spotted me over here!" If anything, he was the lucky one!
It was good to know that they were both happy for the attention of the other, and Chakelete brought his gaze on the now forming stars in the sky. "Oh look, the stars are finally coming out!" Even though a darkness had surrounded them, the moon and stars created a warm lighting for the two of them to chat in. "I hope you aren't sleepy yet, just let me know when you start to get tired, I tend to blabber on a lot." At least he was truthful to her, and he always seemed to chat away with a new friend.
"So where do you plan to go after this, Ianthe?" he wondered if she had a set path, or a goal really. "Are you going somewhere in particular, or just traveling? I myself am just a wanderer I suppose!" With a light laugh, he curled his tail around and grinned happily. "It would be too complicated for me to have a set path, I tend to stray away easily."

Ianthe's attention drew up to the starts for a moment as she took them in. Time did seem to pass quite quickly when you were enjoying it, and especially when you were enjoying it with a friend. Her tail flopped to her side, her ears perked forward as she gave them a longing look before turning back to the brown wild dog, her pink eyes not looking quite so different in the dark light.
"After this? Oooh, I heard about a really neat place called the sea," she started, excitement peeking through her voice. "I hear it's a wonderous place, like a watering hole as far as the eye can see. There are supposed to be many strange creatures that lurk about there, with different kinds of birds, weird looking rocks, and all sorts of stuff. I want to see it as soon as I can..." she trailed off for a moment, thinking about it before shaking her head, as if to shake her attention back to the present. "So that's where I'm going! After that I'm not sure, probably wherever my paws lead me. That can be the best way sometimes, right?"

The.. sea?
Hearing her describe it intrigued him, and he bent his head in closer as she went on in detail. Why hadn't he heard of that yet? He almost felt like an amateur in traveling for a second!
"That is the first time I have ever heard about a watering hole that big.. now I really hope I find something like that!" Lately it had been plain after to plain, with grass for miles, and NO water. Seeing some water would feel like a vacation in his eyes, especially if there were new creatures to be seen. "Now where does one find the sea? Hm, probably just randomly, right? I wonder if it has a certain smell.." he sighed, and imagined discovering an area like that.
"That sounds like a good destination in mind!" he then said, reassuring her. "Who knows what else you might find on your journey to the sea, every journey seems to lead to others!" Or well, that was how it went in Chakelete's case.
