The Rules
1. Respect others.
There are many reasons to cover one's head, hair, and/or various body parts. There are many different ways to cover. Any reason that anyone feels is valid for them...
is valid for them. It may not be your reason, but that doesn't mean it is stupid, unenlightened, or less worthy of respect than your reasons.
2. Use good communication skills.
We all want to understand one another, and to interact in a meaningful way. While the occasional typo or punctuation error is understandable, especially if English isn't your first language, constant n00bspeak, l337speak, and other "cute" ways of distorting your speech into something incomprehensible... well, those are just annoying. We'd rather you take the time to make yourself understandable, so that we don't have to just ignore everything you say. Being ignored doesn't feel good, so don't contribute to your own feelings of exclusion and isolation.
3. Use good communication skills, part 2.
Refrain from vulgarity, including swearing, cursing, or posting pictures (or links to pictures) of unclothed people or people engaged in immodest behavior. Also please refrain from insulting other guild members or visitors. This hearkens back to "respect others."
4. DO NOT ask for anyone's real name, location, place of employment, phone number, or photographs. If people want to post that, that's their prerogative, but do not ask. Giving out this information can be dangerous. *****, stalkers, and their ilk are very good at establishing relationships of trust with their future victims, and someone who seems sweet, kind, and trustworthy may be entirely the opposite of what they seem. Also remember that the good folks who post here are not the only people who will be reading the posts. Someone can lurk here if they want, and we'll never know that they're among us. Be careful!
