Nara stood at the road looking at a two-story house in serious need of a paint job. There were a few other houses along the road, but none close enough to confuse the signal. Reaching backwards, the relic grabbed her partner and began to drag him towards the house.

Finally the two made it up the drive and to the front door. Knocking firmly, Nara and Iian waited patiently for their newest vic- parent to arrive.

Leia glanced towards the door at the sound of the knocking. Probably some neighbor type thing offering a welcome wagon. Rolling her eyes, she went back to her fireplace mantle straightening.

The well-wishers can wait, Leia smirked to her self.

The minutes ticked slowly by as still her knock went unanswered. Frowning at the doorway, the relic knocked again. It was a little closer to pounding though. Her hands itched like crazy. Stuffing them into her pockets she rocked back and forth, trying to keep from scratching. Nara narrowed her eyes at the door. Well, come on already.

Grumbling a few of her favorite words under her breath, Leia meandered over towards the door after putting that unusual scrolly-thing on the fireplace mantle. She briefly considered looking out the window next to the door and then thought better of it.

Opening the door and leaning out slightly, she peered at the girl (was it really a girl?). "Yes?"

Nara took a deep breath. About. Time. "Hi," she smiled, "I'm Nara from the Gaian branch of the Royal Library of Alexandria. I'm here about a scroll that was recently tracked to this area. We're researching the lost scrolls from the Library of Alexandria and if it's possible we'd like to take a look and see if your's might have originated from there." The relic kept the polite smile on her face while her partner twitched his hood down a little farther.

Leia fixed the hooded man with a piercing stare."Only if he takes off his hood. I don't approve of head coverings in my house." Upon stating this, she leaned quite firmly against the door.

She switched her her stare to the girl, or Nara. "And how did you know I found a scroll? Spying?" Her voice took on a slightly hostile edge.

Nara glanced at her partner, biting her lip. Much as she loved him, the scrolls kinda came first. The woman's second accusation brought her gaze back sharply.

"Spying? It's a mere matter of tracing through publicly available records, prior owners, and oh- I don't know- about six months of eyestrain. Believe it or not. M'am. We didn't know for certain if this was the correct owner or house." The woman took a step forward, furious at the belittlement of their cumulative work. "As for my partner, he has his *personal* reasons for keeping his head covered. Things that I would not ask him to confront for research, regardless of how important it is." She sniffed at the woman. "Not that you could possible understand."

Leia grinned at the woman...and then shut the door in her face and locked the door.

Fuming, Nara stared at the door. Her eyes narrowed into dark slits as she stepped back. Unable to stand it any longer, the woman began to scratch violently at her hands. Giving the door a solid kick, she was about to get Iian to break it down. Instead the woman paused, as if talking something over in her head.

Gritting her teeth, the woman knocked once more. By now her hands were covered in harsh red streaks, and she looked about ready to kill someone.

Leia pulled open the door again, her eyes no longer flashing defiance. Rather, she looked like she was fighting back a migraine. "Mm? Still here?"

Rubbing the center of her forehead, she blinked blearily at Nara. "Scroll's on the fireplace. C'mon in..." and with that trailing sentence, she left the door open wide enough for Nara and flung herself on the couch, face down.

The other woman's eyes may have no longer been flashing, but Nara's still were. It was made even worse by the enforced civility. No longer caring what happened, the relic scroll stormed to the fireplace and grabbed the scroll.

Agony flared along her arms and only sheer anger kept the woman from blacking out. She flung it to the floor in front of Leia and stormed to her spot. "Get up," Nara snapped.

Slowly her partner followed her in. The entire form winced at every move his partner made, though the man made no move to stop her. Instead he waited one pace away from his own spot.

Leia merely stared at the girl. This was kinda fun. For a brief second she considered not cooperating, but at the voice that boomed again in her head she stood, but just in front of the couch. "I'm up." She chose to think of the Nekozawa-cosplayer as furniture.

It was all the give that Nara needed. The moment the woman stood up, Iian stepped into place. A sigh of relief fled the woman's lips as her hands dissolved into green mist. The mist, cold and surprisingly thick, wrapped itself around the three of them. A chocked cry and several heavy thuds echoed throughout the mist. Almost immediately the mist dissapeared closing back into Nara's red welted hands.

The woman had crumpled onto the ground and two new beings have appeared. The children blinked quietly while the black shrouded man rushed to his fallen partner.

Leia blinked in mild confusion. There had been a funny mist...and the irritant had fallen over. No skin off her nose there. However...there were now two children sitting in the middle of the floor.

Leia's knees decided that it was a good time to sit down. And stare at the little ones.

Her partner pulled out a buisness card and dropped it on the floor. He then proceeded to collect Nara and head out the door.
