Personality: Raguel was raised for a good portion of his life in the confines of the court. He has learned all the proper ways of speaking as well as the training his mother gave him for beind seductive. Therefor he has a tendancy to be a very big flirt with those he thinks he can have his way with. His mother implanted the idea that most anyone will do anything for pleasure, but he's more choosey about whom he plays with. One the ship he is a different person.
The Bo'sun may seem very harsh and sometimes mean, but he's only doing what the thinks his job requires. He can't be viewed as being weak or easily manipulated. He takes his job very seriously and doesn't allow for any misconduct. However he is relaxed when it comes to a bit of fun during work. He realizes that it helps keep moral up and sometimes provides a good laugh. He is also very loyal to Captain Caspian and will make any sacrifice to keep the ship in order.
He's had many lovers, sometimes developing feelings for them, but it never lasts long and he is whoring around again. But suddenly, one of his lovers has finally proven his love despite Raguel's whoring. And if it isn't the last person the pirate thought would ever love him! So while Raguel still sleeps around, it never means much to him. The only sex with meaning belongs to his beloved Duke of Avery.

Raguel
Raguel was born a b*****d child to a young elfen woman named Calistina whom was a courtesan in Jareth's court. His mother had no idea who his father was as she was well known at the time to court many men. Jareth actually knows who Raguel's father is but was asked never to reveal his identity by the father's wife. Calistina was a fan of human literature, specifically religious text. It was there she found the name Raguel, the catholic Angel of Justice. She felt her son deserved to be treated as more than a fatherless child so she hoped his name would influence his life. She did love her child so, and thought him the most handsome boy in the entire land.
In a world where social standing makes or breaks you, Raguel was already off to a bad start. His mother was unmarried and his father was a mystery. He was picked on mercilessly by the other children of the court and his mother was treated likewise by the ladies of the court for her scadelous ways. Raguel could take them insulting him, but not when they made comments about his mother. Many times he would be hauled infront of Jareth or some other authority figure for beating up one of the other children for insulting his mother, or beating up the son of a woman who insulted his mother. Even as a child he was a strong fighter and developed a reputation for being a violent child. His mother soon grew frustrated with his constant fights and their own arguements could be heard through out the Labyrinth. He claimed to be defending her honor, but she would counter that a proper man would defend with words not his fists. But Raguel was not one for words, he wanted action. A future in the Goblin King's court did not please him.
As Raguel entered his teen years, or at least the years an elf is considered a teen, his mother attempted to prepare him more for court life. He took dancing lessons and was taught proper ettiquette. She also began teaching him the ways of seduction. She had a mind to get him into the family business of lies, secrets, and seduction. He was already quite handsome, all the girls whispered about him despite his rather rough personality. His observance of his mother at court gave him a head start. But he still continued to get into fights. But one day in a ballroom he heard of the fearsome pirate, Caspian Aurelius. Once the man stood with the Goblin King in this court but now he roamed the seas as a pirate.
The more Raguel thought about it, the more he began to see his life moving out onto the ocean. He continued with his training until that fateful day when his life would swing in another direction. It was the day Caspian came into port. Raguel met with him and begged the pirate to take him away from the dullness of court. Caspian must have saw something in the young elf and agreed to take him. His mother was very upset and tried to force Raguel to stay, but he slipped away and joined up with the crew.
Raguel was a spirited young lad who only wanted to impress the captain in order to stay on the ship. He had his run ins with the Bo'Son and bears a few scars from whippings he recieved. His first battle with another ship really forced him to look at what he wanted in life. He had been clashing swords with an older, more experienced pirate when he was suddenly knocked over board. The blood from the dead had attracted the sharks and one decided his shoulder would make a nice bit of supper. Through sheer courage and strength of will he managed to get the shark off of him and back up onto the ship. By that time the other ship was subdued and the others looked upon him with horror. But the Captain, ah he just smiled and told Raguel that the Lady of the Sea must truly love him to let him survive an attack such as that. Even now his shoulder gave him an occasional bit of trouble but it was a lasting reminder how to live your life. At any moment it can be taken away either by sword, by disease, or by time.
Other scars soon followed as well as another blood tale. At a pub the crew had stopped to drink at, the young and still rather brash Raguel was enjoying himself when he overhear some loud mouth talking with his friends. Apparently he had forced himself on a woman of the streets and took great pleasure in telling his friends how much he had scared her. Raguel's temper flared, he hated anyone who would force themselves upon another. He stood up without thinking and called the man a coward for his actions. Already drunk the other man's temper also flew and soon they were clashing swords. The fight carried out into the street where the drunken sailor kicked dirt into Raguel's face them promptly stabbed him in the eye. Depsite his injury, he ran the man through. Caspian wasn't happy with Raguel's act but still thought it brave to stand up for a woman no one usually protected.
He worked for another fifty years on the ship when the elder Bo'Son decided to retire with all of his remaining extremidies. It was a big to do over who would take his place but Caspian and the Bo'Son had already decided. It was annouced that Raguel would take the old pirate's place as he had taught him almsot everything he knew. Raguel was honored and for a brief moment, felt as if he both gained and lost a father all at the same time. Now he serves his ship and his captain as the Bo'Son, occtionally stopping in to see his mother. Both are still at odds over his choice of occupation but still love each other. |

Personality: Calistina is a very seductive woman and knows she can use her beauty and charm to get what she wants from the patrons of the court. Unlike many women of the court, Calistina isn't overly concerned with her status as a court lady. She is only concerned with being respected enough to be allowed into court to do her business. The opinion of the other women matter little to her and she can be rather venomous when confronted by them about her ways. Her opinion of men isn't all that high considering her ability to charm them. Sometimes she see's them as a challenge, like a game she has to win. Other times she highly respects them as intelligent beings, such is her opinion of Jareth. Calistina is very crafty and has a way of seeing the weaknesses in others and using them to her advantage to get the secrets she wants. Despite this she does have some sense of honor and won't give out information that would hurt an innocent person. She has a love/hate relationship with her son, Raguel. She loves him dearly as she is his mother and wants the best for him, but she is completely disappointed in him for joining up with pirates and losing so much of his original beauty.

Calistina
Calistina was born to a normal elven mother and a drow father around five centuries ago. She inherited a dark complexion and his pure white hair while getting her beautiful blue eyes from her mother. Drow normally do not marry outside their race and bring down swift justice to those who violate this rule. This was the fate of Calistina's father and nearly her own. A gang of Drow broke into their home and dragged the family off. Her father was murdered before her eyes then she was stabbed in the leg and left to die with her mother in the burning remains of their home. Thankfully her mother was a very resourceful woman and managed to get them out but not before a burning beam landed on the young girl and scarred her leg.
The two women lived in poverty before her mother developed a way of discovering secrets from men by using her charm. She soon gained a sizeable fortune with her secrets and joined the court, bringing her beautiful exotic daughter with her. They both kept her father's heritage a secret from all but Jareth, whom they told as a sign of trust and honesty. Calistina learned her mother's tricks of seducing men for secrets and information that she could later use to her advantage for money and favors. It was during one of these games of seduction that she accidentally got pregnant. Due to her ways she was unsure who the father could be.
The pregnancy went well and she had a handsome little boy. She named him Raguel after a human being known as an angel of justice. He was already a b*****d child; he could use all the justice he could get. He was dark skinned like her but lighter since he didn't have as much Drow blood as she did. However he had a rather violent streak and would constantly be getting into fights with the other boys. He would always claim he was defending her honor despite knowing what she did to put food on the table. Then Pirate Lord Caspian came to court for a visit to Jareth. She saw the twinkle in his eye and his elven blood called him to the sea. She forbid him from going and told him he was to be a gentleman of the court, not a scoundrel of the sea.
Many fights followed as Caspian stayed until, the day he left, Raguel disappeared. Calistina was sick with worry, she knew he had boarded the pirate ship and was out at sea. For many months she waited for word from him, always hiding her worry and distress from anyone who asked. When he finally returned, he had been bitten by a shark. She was horrified and tried to make him stay again but he refused, saying his love was for the sea and his loyalty to Caspian. It was then she realized her son had become a man without her knowing, and she had only been holding him back. He left again, this time with the promise of writing to her, and Calistina returned to the court. She still collects secrets for those willing to pay, though Jareth usually gets them for free.

As the new ruler, he wishes to expand his kingdom to an even higher level of greatness both in the material and in the intellectual. When a decision must be made, he thinks it over himself after getting everyone's opinion then chooses what he thinks would best serve his people. Since the death of his father, he's removed several officals whom he thought were only there to improve their own situation and not run the kingdom. Manakel
When the blue-haired merchild named Manakel was born in the kingdom of Atlantis, there was much rejoicing. It was announced that the new royal child had been born with the marks of the future ruler, they had their crown prince. From that moment Manakel was trained in the ways of leadership and royal obligation. His tutors told him the great history of their kingdom and how it came to be underwater. His father's advisors showed him the ways in which they feed and protected the kingdom. His uncle gave him defense lessons and taught him about stragedy. His mother guided him in art, literature, and philosophy. The court mages taught him to use his magic. But it was his father who had the biggest impact on the young prince.
Mana's father had made the decision to begin making contacts outside the underwater world. His advisors were horrified that their king would risk their safety for they could see no gain in dealing with outsiders. They had food, shelter, culture, and plenty of space. But what they didn't see what the lack of progress. This is what the King saw, his people stagnating in thier safety. He had to bring them back to their glory days, back when they helped and taught all the other cultures in the land. It was this dream that Mana's father shared with him.
Then, tragedy occured. While in an area well known for its dangerous jellyfish, the King was stung by one of the most venomous. His death was heart breaking to Mana, his mother, and his little sister Uriel. The entire kingdom was thrown into mourning. What would they do? The Prince was only 18, hardly the adult ruler they needed. The advisors began speaking of a temporary ruler until Mana was of age to take the throne but the prince would not hear of it. In his mind, he saw his father's dream and refused to let it die with him. He took the throne and spoke to his people. He would lead them to glory and splender, one they had not seen in many generations. His poweful words and his sudden adult behavior calmed the kingdom and they cheered for their new king.
While some still wonder if the boy king can survive to his adulthood, there are many allies to his cause. His Uncle Azreal, the Captain of the Guard, was immediately at his bidding. Azreal's son, Gabriel, was appointed Court Mage as he was most trusted by the young ruler. Now, with the sudden introduction of air breathers into his kingdom, Mana seeks to bring his father's dream into fruition and bring back the true glory that is Atlantis. |

He bids his time until he has all he needs to reduce his enemy to a screaming fearful madman then delivers a lethal hit. Ebony
Ebony and his sister Ivory were found crawling through the caves of the Drow society. They were merely infants and no parent could be found. But their personality was already vicious so they were kept by one of the ladies of a great Assassin house, Auvryund (Blood of the Spider’s Kiss). The head female, Antlyn (Deadly Assassin), decided the would be used in their dealings with light dwellers. Their blood red eyes allowed them to see as well as their elven counterparts and their training began almost as soon as they could walk. Ebony, like all males, was taught he was beneath females in rank and to always respect them. His ability to blend into the dark where even drow had trouble seeing him became all important as he was trained to be an assassin. He could go where drow could not, he could slip past guards without rousing suspicion; ergo he was the perfect above ground assassin. |

Usually this is accomplished by dosing their drink but some even say she’s poisoned her lipstick so they get death’s kiss. While her brother hides in the shadows, Ivory has no problem with being seen and enjoys the spotlight.

Personality: Serious and to the point are the best ways to describe the Court Mage of Atlantis. Gabriel is a very studious individual, as his magic required years of study and practice to wield the sheer power he has been blessed with. This has developed a great curiosity within him. He loves to learn and now that Atlantis is making contact with the surface world again, he hopes to bring new technologies and update the histories with stories of the surface. Perhaps he can even discover new spells to help defend his Emperor and kingdom. With his young cousin as the current ruler, he finds himself in a guardian and protector role. He will do anything to keep his cousin on the throne until he is of proper age. He doesn't believe in doing things half way or spontaneously so he is a good mentor to the teenage Emperor. As the only child of the Captain of the Defenders, he is constantly striving to be the absolute best at everything he does. He keeps trying to prove himself a good son despite not being a defender. His father has told him he is proud no matter what Gabriel's profession, but he forever feels guilty about not following in his father's footsteps.
History: Gabriel was born to Azreal, the Captain of the Defenders and his beautiful wife Ambrosia. Being born pure white made Gabriel a herald child of the royal family. His uncle was the Emperor and declared him to be a blessing to the court. Though it did not mean he would be the next ruler, he would undoubtedly be a powerful mage. From this early age he was tutored by some of the kingdom's greatest magicians and sorcerers. However the young mage felt slightly depressed about his chosen position. He saw his father and the other defenders practicing their skills to protect the kingdom against invaders. He thought, like many sons of the kingdom, he should follow in that pursuit. But Azreal would have none of that. He told Gabriel he had a special gift, as neither his father nor mother had much if any magical skills. He was meant for great things and therefore would stay in his mage training.
A few years past and Gabriel was a teenager when his cousin and future Emperor was born, Manakel. Without others to play with and being one of the few magically inclined children of the court, he took heart in the joyful youth of his cousin. They spent many hours talking and playing together when Gabriel could tear himself away from his tutors. It was almost like having a younger brother, and eventually a younger sister with the birth of Princess Uriel. He helped Mana with his own studies of courtly behavior and proper etiquette. He even began helping him master the magic that sprung forth from the future ruler. They were complicated spells and Gabriel could not wield them. So he had to teach through experience and practice with his own spells. Then, the greatest tragedy in many years happened. While out surveying a warm cove, the Emperor was stung by a deadly jelly fish. There was nothing to be done, he died within minutes in the arms of his distraught Captain. Gabriel's father was beside himself with grief. He was supposed to defend the Emperor, who was his own younger brother. Gabriel comforted his father the best way he could, by promising to find a spell to protect the next ruler from the deadly venom of the very beast that killed his Uncle.
Now was the trial of faith. Many of the court advisors were loath to put Mana, a young merteen, on the throne. They claimed he could never run a kingdom properly and that a steward should be appointed to rule until Mana was of proper age. Others claimed it was only right for Manakel to take the throne as he had been marked at birth and had shown the true magic powers that only the Emperor could wield. Gabriel fought back in court for his cousin's right to the throne. He gave an oath that he and his magic would only serve the rightful Emperor and not some stand in. He had grown rather powerful by then and the advisors were fearful of him turning it on them. Though peaceful by nature, he was very defensive of his family. Gabriel's father, his heart lifted by his son's dedication to the royal line, also refused to lead the Defenders for anyone other than the rightful ruler of the kingdom. With some of the most powerful courtiers against them, the dissenting advisors backed off and allowed Manakel to be crowned. Now, bound by his oath and his love for his cousin, Gabriel sits by his side as his most trusted advisor, confidant, and Court Mage.
Physical features: Gabriel is a very sexy merman and is greatly adored by the mergirls both in court and in the kingdom. He has almost pure white skin with no blemishes from head to tail. He does not sport his father's Adonis build but he was not allowed to stay idle once his studies were over. His hair is very long and unbraided which is also unusual. Most merfolk tie their hair back for swimming purposes but Gabriel lets it flow freely. He says it helps his magic move more naturally through his body. He carries himself with dignity and confidence that befit a merman of his ability and standing. His face is forever the look of thoughtfulness and seriousness.

Markings and tattoos: The one thing Gabriel does have to offset his white body is the common mark of his father's family line. It's a single black wave line that goes from one white fin ear, across the bridge of his nose, and to the other. (Like Mana's only black).
