Is it really possible for someone to get, like, addicted to it?
I don't smoke, but I've got a sister and two friends that do.
Mostly when we're in my car.
Is it all just in my head, or is this really possible?

You can become affected by the smoke, but I doubt you can become addicted to it. I would check either with someone from the ALA or a doctor.

I don't think so. You're not quite that exposed to the nicatin.
However second-hand smoke can be more vital than first-hand.
Plus it jsut sets a bad example for kids and other people.

I don't think you can become addicted to second hand smoke, but if you are concerned ask you doctor. 3nodding You should tell your passengers not to smoke in you car. stare If they want to ruin their lungs that's their business, but don't let them ruin your lungs by smoking in your car. stare

Puffing on a cigarette is the same as inhaling smoke from someone elses cigarette, the difference is that when you puff a cig directly, you get a lot more pure smoke in your lungs. I know this from experience (*smoker*) but the actual addiction comes with a lot more than simply passive smoking every now and then.
Even though I smoke, I'm not addicted, I never -need- a smoke, the reason I smoke has nothing to do with the taste of tobacco itself, and you'll find that the main reason experienced smokers do smoke, is the taste of tobacco. My father has smoked for thirty years, my mother for forty, maybe I'm wrong but both my parents agree.
