Annoyed wasn't a strong enough word to emphasize Sen's feelings at the moment. She was pissed, and she didn't care if she wasn't suppose to use that kind of language. But it would be okay, because she was going to Ai's now. And Ai always made everything better.
"Stupid...they don't even... hmph!" On her entire stroll, the juvenile raged to herself, quietly. The more she walked, the more into her hissy fits she got, and the less she paid attention to where she was going.
It wasn't that she'd never accidentally run into someone before, she had. But unlike the other times, she merely walked around the furry thing she'd collided with and kept going. To hell with everyone in the stupid Pridelands!
Except Ai.

Kani blinked, feeling something small colliding with her backside, and turning to look over her shoulder she found nothing there, but then she spotted a white pelt and a familiar marking, and recognized it as her cousin, whom she hadn't seen since she was too young to open her eyes (Sen).
"Sen??" She balked a little after the fuming cub, wondering why she was so steamed.

Sen froze. She didn't recognize that voice. Looking over her shoulder, she realized she didn't recognize the face either. Yet this lioness knew her name. Creepy.
"You keep out of my head, you--whatever it is you're called." She couldn't remember the word 'seer', but she remembered Mwokoti telling her they had 'visions', or something, so maybe they could read minds, too? "I don't know who you are, but--"

Blink. Blink?
My my... she certainly was in a bad mood. Kani's heart went out to the younger female, rising to move over to stand beside Sen with a small smile. "No, we're family. You wouldn't remember me since the last time I saw you you were probably too young to. I'm... well, let's just call one another cousins. My name is Kani, Sen."

Great. More family. Sen was thankful that she'd just settled for 'cousin' and hadn't launched into it like some of them had. She couldn't keep up with who was an uncle or nephew (she was too young to have nephews!) or third aunt on her mother's side twice removed.
"Oh." After a thoughtful pause, she shook her head. Not a single memory. "Kani, alright. Why didn't you come to see me before? Like, when I was older?" Not that it really bothered her, she didn't know 'Kani' past her name.

"To be honest, I just don't get out much. My parents had more cubs around the same time that you all were born, and I've had my paws full helping with them." She explained calmly, watching the younger "cousin", but really, why hadn't she visited sooner? She would have liked to, but somehow she always ended up staying home. "Here we are now though. Is something wrong, Sen? You seem pretty angry. Did something happen?"

Yeah, that figured. Always to busy, they were. Mom. Dad. Her brothers and sisters. Except for Ai and Yue who's attention she didn't want anyway. Annoying little gold pest. Made her angry just thinking about it!
"My brother is an idiot," she settled with, not feeling it particularly nesscary to launch into detail for who she still, frankly, considered almost a total stranger. "But not my older one. I'm going to see him."

"Hmmm. I know the feeling. My brother is an idiot too. Except my idiot is the older one." She empathized, grinning a little. "I don't want to hold you up, would you mind if I keep you company on your way there?"

Sen looked surprised. "Lady, you can keep me company whenever." She'd already forgotten her name (honestly she hadn't really strived to remember it), but Sen liked this lioness. Finally someone who said something reasonable.
Not, 'You shouldn't talk about your brother that way!' or, 'Oh, he can't be all bad!', but, 'Yeah, mine's dumb too.' Finally.
She knew well where Ai's den was--Ai and what's-her-face's den, that is. Sen didn't want to know her name. It was bad enough those bratty little royalty...brats (ohoho, take THAT) took his attention away. She started walking again.
"Do you know Ai, too?"

Kani grinned a little, not minding the lack of name it seemed. She could be wrong, but Kani's thought was that this thing with Sen's brother was no different than her own. They fought, they were rivals from time to time, but deep down they each cared about each other, they just refused to show it. Well, in any case, she did understand Sen's frustration.
"I don't know him all that well, but I've seen him around. I really have only spoken to Ayato, Aunt Tai, and your mother. His head fur is striped, right?"

"Yeah, it's really cool," Sen replied in blissful admiration. It didn't take long when the topic of Ai came up to realize if you said, 'Isn't that the one I saw roll around in mud then run into a tree and trip over a rock?' Sen would just as proudly declare, 'Yeah, that's him!'
It really did annoy her that he watched those damn royal cubs--or however old they were now, she didn't know--but at the same time, she was proud. Her brother was good enough for such high-ranking snobs to hang around. (Nevermind Sen was mentally insulting them quite brutally despite never meeting any of them.)
"Ayato, and Aunt Tai," she repeated. "I don't remember them."

Sheshe'kani was beginning to get a pretty clear picture of what it was that prompted Sen to visit her older brother. She wondered how it was that Ayato hadn't met them yet, but then upon thinking more, his brother Kweu did keep him tied up with adventures a lot, hm?
"You'd probably really enjoy spending time with them. You know, Ai was the one that picked Ayato's name for him."
Ayato was just as fanatical about his cousin as Sen seemed to be, a bit of heroworship, Kani sensed with mirth.
"Aunt Tai is Ayato's mother. And... Ai's aunt, I think. It gets confusing trying to keep up with it all, hm?"

Sen's teeth cletched together. "Maybe," she ground out. But really, no way. Nobody who took more of Ai's time away from her was going to be buddy-buddy in her book. Enough lions doing that already, and he was the only one she liked. Except this one she was talking to now. She was okay.
"I don't really try," admitted the pridelander. "I feel like I'm related to everyone. But I don't care. I only care about Ai now."

Wow... what happened that Sen would say something like that? Not that she knew her well but, she was so young for that kind of talk. Maybe she was just upset still?
"Well... I'm sorry that you're feeling so upset. I hope that things brighten up for you soon Sen. If you'd like, you can come visit me sometime. I stay with my mate out by the river. Or I could come visit you if you'd like. I'm free during the days...?"
She felt guilty that she hadn't seen more of her family, and wanted to rectify that now. Hopefully Sen would take her up on the offer.

Sen thought the offer over. The intense look on such a young face was almost comical. "I can visit you, but if you want to visit me, you'll have to come to where I'm going now. I'm not going back. I'm living with Ai now." Yes, she was determined of that. And stupid, stupid Yue. He should have come with her.
She'd never forgive him for being that dumb. "I'll come see you soon." They reached the den, but Ai didn't seem to be there, which didn't bother Sen any. She said, "This is it.", and plopped down to wait for him. "See you later."
