On the outskirts of the Prideland boarders a tan colored cheetah was walking along the shade of the many trees that littered the land. His tail swung back and forth with his every step and he had a smile upon his face. Upon his back was a white and black genet who appeared to be sleeping, rather soundly.
The male stopped walking for a moment to check upon the sleeping female. His green eyes glanced over his close friend before he turned to continue walking. It was then that she began to stir. A yawn escaped the maw of the rather small black and white as she opened her dark eyes. She then began to wrinkle her nose. "Do you smell that Kika?" The genet questioned excitedly as she jumped down from his spotted back.
"Smell what?" The cheetah questioned with a furrow of his brow as he looked down at her.
"It smells like lions!" She exclaimed a large grin breaking out across her features

Verdad sat a the edge of the pridelands. It always had smaller game she could practice on. It wasn't until she had grown long and lanky that she had grown an interest in hunting. Her mother probably knew how to hunt long before her age and this sweet and gentle demeanor needed a swift overhaul.
Over the past few months, she'd graduated from bugs to actual prey such as rabbits and even small warthogs if they ever got close enough without their Mama. It wasn't always successful but at least she was trying. Of course, that wasn't the only reason she'd start hunting. Maybe he'd come back one day and see how much she changed...
The orange lioness shook the thought from her head. "It's impossible..." With that once prominent thought gone, she finally went back on her hunt.

"Smells like lions? How do you know?" The cheetah questioned obviously confused by her, he did admit that is smelled like lions but he wasn't sure how his companion knew what they smelled like when she had never met one, or at least he thought she didn't.
The small creature wrinkled her nose and let out a laugh that sounded like chimes. "Because silly, it just does!" Maksiasui exclaimed proudly, feeling that her logic won. She only received a sigh from her companion. "Wouldn't it be fantabulous to meet one? I wonder if lions are as fun and as fast as cheetahs?!"
The white genet was so excited that she darted off into the trees to seek a lion, oblivious to any danger that one might be to her.
"Maksia! Wait!" Kika called his brow furrowing at her actions. "It's dangerous to be out there by yourself with your small size!" He cried before shaking his head and trotting off into the trees after her.

Verdad stopped in her tracks, finding an unfamiliar scent in the air. Her ears perked and her shoulders hunched as she lowered herself into the grass, hiding the red of her paws from the suns glare.
She didn't know what these smells were but she certainly didn't want to get caught out in the open by someone or something she couldn't identify. Her tail curled against her as she crept towards the direction of the smell. Hopefully they would just pass her by without a violent confrontation but she couldn't be so sure. After the Kings death, every meeting could be a dangerous one.
Ears flicked at the sound of unfamiliar voices. Lions? Obviously, they weren't by what they were going on about. "Odd..."

A loud burst of giggles escaped the genet when she heard Kika's protests to her darting off. It was at that moment that she decided that while searching for the mysterious lion she would skillfully evade her dear cheetah friend. She paused for a brief minute between her ninjaing to sniff the air to figure out exactly which way to go to find the mysterious lion.
The smell was strong so Maksiasui figure that it had to be close by....Right? Well her sniffing didn't help all too much since it didn't really give her much to go by, the smell was EVERYWHERE. It presented much difficulty for the female so she randomly decided to go left and hope she got lucky.
The white and black small creature kept her nose in the air to make sure she could keep tabs on Kika. She let out another giggle, softer than before but still loud.
Kika stopped in the midst of the trees turning his head left and right trying to figure out which way his familiar had wandered off to. Letting out a sigh and shaking his head, which resulted in his black tuff of hair falling into his eyes and covering one of them, he blindly headed off to the right, not really thinking too much to as to trying to smell her familiar scent out.
"Maksia, this isn't funny really, you could get hurt." He called when he heard her loud giggles, barely realizing he had gone the wrong direction and turning around. "Seriously, come out and stop darting off randomly, I mean it!" He told her in a loud voice, hoping that she would hear him and that he sounded somewhat intimidating enough to get her to come back to him.
He knew she wouldn't though, she liked danger too much to back down now.

She crept closer, finally having the two in sight. Her hackles bristled at the strange intruders. During her life in the Pridelands, she'd met nearly all the members and they had either slithered under her radar or strayed into their lands. It seemed that the little one was attached somewhat to the larger one by the way it called.
Her eyes darted overhead at what was happening. She'd never been around real tree climbers. It was...odd to say the least. She followed the small creature on it's way, knowing that this thing couldn't be hunted.
Verdad was still in her lands. The threat of an attack was minimum if she could alert her pride. Might as well see what they were doing.
"You seem a little far from home..." She called up to them, hoping she'd get some sort of answer.

The genet's ears pricked up at the sound of the lioness's voice. She instantly turned her head to look at the orange female. "I found you!" She exclaimed rather excitedly bounding right up to the lion. Maksia didn't seem to mind that the other female was much large than she was. Not at all.
"Home? We don't have a home." She stated with a tilt of her head, her black eyes sparkling with mischief, excitement, and keen interest in the other.
Kika instantly moved towards the lion and his now visible friend. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw that she was unharmed but tensed slightly when she bounded up to Verdad. The cheetah then relaxed a bit seeing no harm, so far.
"What she means is that we don't have a permanent home, we like to travel."
