I just found out from a friend of mine that my parents apparently drained one of my bank accounts to buy my younger sister a new car. I didn't have them here because I didn't want to lose them when I moved out, and thought they would be safe.
If this is true, then they took that money without my consent. There was over 20k in that account. And, this isn't the first time they took money from one of my accounts.
I'm PISSED.

if you're of legal age and if the account was in your name, you could probably take them to court over that.
...there are no words for how wrong and disgusting that is. Stealing their child's money... =/

Midoris right it would be your money and if your over 18 they have no legal right to take any of your money from the bank.

So far, I've found 1k missing out of 2 different accounts. There's one last bank to check, and I have to get to another town to check it....which may be where all the money is missing from.

If I were you, I'd move everything into an account they can't touch, then confront them about their theft. They'd better as hell put that money back...taking money like that is incredibly sleazy..

I would if I had the passbooks with me I would, Midori. I left them with my parents because I didn't want them to get lost.

Suke you should sue them and get every penny back the stole if that one bank account is emptied out. You need should have some sort of boundaries! If they treat you that way let them know its WRONG! You are NOT their personal piggy bank to do with as they please! You are a human just like that and deserve every ounce of respect you get!

Gee! That would suck! I would sue them since that is wrong and that is just disgusting and very rude of them to do that. Sad thing is I know someone who had a similar thing happen to them, but the thing is they hadall their money drained from a college thing to go and pay for the videogame systems that they buy each year. They buy an Xbox system, Nintendo, and the playstation system in it's newest update.
Well I wish I could help you more, but your best bet would be to move out. If you have any relatives if you're not 18 or think that you can't handle the real world yet then go there.
Well actually a lot of this stuff would determine if you can do it if you are 18 or older or not.

Well she could sue them and possibley tell the bank to seperate her account from her parents grubby hands.

Lawyer said I can only take them to court if over 3k is missing....
And I'm taking all the accounts I can and putting them under my name alone at the one bank I have an account in just my name.
