2. If you think someone is hacking please PM a mod and we will investigate.
3. Be curtious to others.
4. Have fun. Wifi battling is the best way of having fun with Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.
5. Note that most people will want to have a standard battle, see below.

From the smogon forum so just to let you know.So instead of posting rules just say standard battle with how many poke you want (6v6 3v3):
If you want someone to battle you soon, post it in here. Don't forget to list your friend code, and ruleset if you're deviating from the standard. What is the standard? Right now, it is as follows:
* 6 on 6 single battle.
* No ubers, which (currently) are:
** Mewtwo
** Mew
** Wobbuffet
** Lugia
** Ho-Oh
** Wynaut
** Latias
** Latios
** Kyogre
** Groudon
** Rayquaza
** Deoxys (all forms)
** Dialga
** Palkia
** Giratina
** Manaphy
** Darkrai
** Arceus
* Sleep clause -- only one pokemon on your opponent's team at a time can be put to sleep by you.
Note that what I listed as "accepted rules" does not have DT/OHKO clauses. This is because banning them by default and then forcing everyone who uses the moves to say "DT or OHKO allowed" gives away far more information about your team than doing it the other way around does. So, basically, just say so if you don't want Double Team or OHKO!
Here's an example:
Someone want to battle? Friend code is underneath my avatar, regular 6 on 6 OU, no Double Team or OHKO moves.

Also don't forget to remove the friend code of people you are not battling in the future,while telling them you are doing so.
Space will become an issue if you keep people you don't know on your Pal Pad.
