I remember looking up wand making for Harry Potter and found out how J.K. chose certain wood types for each characters. She used Celtic Astrology to match them to their wands in story. (Ex. Harry's birthday falls between July 8-August 4, so he is born under the Holly Tree.) Find out which is your wood type here, I even added some pics to see what the color looks like.
I was born on January 22, so I have The Rowan Tree. December 24 -January20~The Birch Tree January 21-February 17~The Rowan Tree February 18-March 17~The Ash Tree March 18-April 14~The Alder Tree April 15-May 12~The Willow Tree May 13-June 9~The Hawthorn Tree June 10-July 7~The Oak Tree July 8-August 4~The Holly Tree August 5-September 1~The Hazel Tree September 2-September 29~The Vine Tree September 30-October 27~The Ivy Tree October 28-November 24~The Reed Tree November 25-December 23~The Elder Tree If you want to know a little more about your Celtic Horoscope, click the link below. mrgreen http://www.novareinna.com/constellation/celtic.htm

Yeah, I've read that too, but I couldn't find the actual scheme, cool!
So I would have a Hazel wand... interesting.
And I've given Mags the wrong wand, bummer. She's supposed to have Ivy.

I'm a birch according to that... but it leaves out so many different wonderful woods. I'd rather just pick something that seems to fit for whatever reason I come up with 3nodding

Accorging to what the original post said, I'm Hazel. Woot! Go August 19th! As for the post just previous to this one, I'd probably end up with a dragon heartstring or a hippogriff talon. I'd like a demiguise hair, though. ^^; I love the idea of transfiguration. It makes me think of Alchemy, a great but practically extinct science.

Finora Lupin *tries to will her wand into changing into demiguise hair, but to no avail* TT.TT
Er, what is a Demiguise, anyway?

Demiguise is a magical creature, you can make invisiblity cloaks out of it's fur.
I do know too much about HP o__o

I was assuming that it had something to do with the visual appearance of a creature. "Guise..." *sigh* Thanks, by the way.

So I'd be Alder...interesting, I always kind of went towards Birch when thinking of wands. It just seemed correct. Very cool connection though, JK.

I actually knew about this previous to me making my charrie, s'why Autumn's got a Hazel wand. [I made her birthday August 17th.]
And it's kind of crazy, because according to the chart I'd have an Elder wand. Woah.
