The twilight sky illuminated the candy grass around the small pocket Numa. His silver and grey body reflected the light as to show Starly's disdain for the daytime. He then gave a slight grumble as he had been studying the different insects within the grass. Starly then moved over to the Grape Soda River and started to contemplate a way to catch some Swedish fish when he saw an unearthly glow coming towards him. From the glow's height, he figured it must have been another Pocket Numa, but not one that he had met before.
"Intriguing specimen..."
He said as his eyes glinted with excitement.

A big bunch of fluff and tails was resting in the high grass just next to the soda river. The fluff ball seemed to belong to some growing candy in the valley but maybe candy wasn't fluffy? The purple ball off fluff seemed to breath as well.
Ninetales had taken a nap after lunch before and he had no problem of continue to sleep. But some noice made him wake up a little and his big ears twiched a little asn he continued to lay there. He curled up some more around his tails and wasn't really wanting to get up just yet.

Starly approached the distant fluffy object with caution. He wasn't very tall and had little physical power. He did not want to bring unwanted to attention to himself as the last thing he needed was someone watching his every move. He then came close enough to see nine white tails wrapped around an odd figure. He then came close enough to see it was another Pocket Numa and he seemed to be asleep. Starly gave him an odd look of inquisition and moved even closer. He then stooped down to eye level with the new Numa.
"Such an odd one to be asleep, eh?
....
Hmmm... you could be useful in a new experiment..."
He trailed off in thought while still uncomfortably close to the little Numa.

Ninetales was to slow to react that someone was close by him he continued to lay there and he yawned once again and put a tail over this head. Then he heard someone speak...0wo and since Ninetales got scared easy he rolled over on his side quickly to see who it was that had spoken to him...
His fur begun to stand up a little just like it did on a scared cat then eh spotted the creature that had spoken to him...oh it looked like it was another pocket numa...
" Oh? who might you be then? "
This male had a very deep voice it had a little mysterious tone in it and he speaked rather calm even if he had gotten scared.

Starly gave a slight giggle at the other pocket's reaction. He had never met a male pocket before and the prospect of new data intrigued him more than anything
"Well, proper introductions are in order I suppose.
I go by the name of Starly and what do you call yourself?"
He moved closer as to examine the fox before him.

Ninetales watched the other male pocket numa giggle witch just made him raise a brow but he was still a little sleepy. Oh so his name was starly...Tales watched the other numa a little more before he yawned and wrapped one of his tails around himself.
" Well my name is Ninetales "
He said softly then he sat up and the most of his fur just stood right out he always looked very vild but soft since he had so much fur and so many tails everywhere. It was only 9 tails but those 9 seemed to be everywhere.

The luminescent numa before him, brought him great intrigue. He hadn't seen another Numa with so many tails. He moved closer as Ninetails spoke his name.
"Ninetails, I see.
...
...
Appropriate for you, I would say..."
This brought a wicked grin to his face as he made himself chuckle.
Ninetails' unique characteristics greatly intrigued him.
He then brought his tiny paw to his beak like mouth. He contemplated for a moment and then moved farther back from the other Numa.
"How is it you have come by so many tails?"

Hmm yeah that was who he was his name was easy to remember because of his nine tails..but many use to call him tales fro short it was even simpler. He glanced at the other numa this boy sure starred a lot but Tales didn't really care that much as long as he didn't grab his tails it was fine..
" Hmm well i don't know i am born like this i guess...but they are very useful actually.. "
He didn't wanna mention the good and the bad that came with these tails..

"Ah....
I see that these are not traits acquired through another endeavour..."
He thought on this for a few moments and gazed at Tale's tails.
"Do explain the uses that these appendages provide...
... please."
He waited eagerly for the new information to be acquired.

Ninetales blinked a little and wagged his tails a little and hoped the guy wouldn't grab any of them but what should he tell him? should he tell him they could make strange tings happen? well good for numas but bad for humans?
" Well things may happen if you grab them... "

Starly wasn't one for any kind of physical contact. He only cared to examine things when they were dissected, in a test tube, or viewable for all angles. His mentality was that he was an observer of the world around him and he need took no part in it's day-to-day events.

Starly still lacked the manners necessary to succeed in casual relationships or interaction of any kind. Something that would be hard for the twisted pocket to acquire.
