For once, Kiji was actually content. She wasn't particularly mad at anything and she wasn't the slightest irritated by her surroundings. The savannah was so vast, a rogue could go on for days without running into anything, which was exactly the way she liked it. As long as she was alone, nothing could bug or harm her. It was almost peaceful, or would've been if the dog wasn't such a grouch. Even though she wasn't in a very bad mood that day, her attitude still cast a shadow over everything, sort of neutralizing all of the happy things fluttering about her to make her nearly emoitionless as she walked. It was better that way, though. You don't want to really brood over things when you have to walk, or at least she didn't. It was a great time to think, sure, but only if it was a leisurley sort of waltz as opposed to having a real purpouse. Thinking slowed down the paws, and Kiji hardly had time for that. She had to make to a den or cave by night fall if she wanted some shelter while she rested. Of course, it was hardly midday yet, but there wasn't even an out cropping in sight.

Then again, if she mulled over a few things while she moved, it migh make the time pass by faster. She wasn't an impatient dog or anything, but when you absolutely had to come somewhere, you never wanted to feel like things were slugging along. So perhaps keeping a steady train of thought as she moved along might help? Well, this was a prediciment, wasn't it? Or at least, as much of a prediciment as Kiji cared for. She didn't want any other kind that day, since she really did need to move along and she really didn't need to have company. Really. It dawned on the dog that she was already brooding, even if she hadn't decided whether she should or not. She must've been arguing with herself for some time already about what was the best way to travel fast, and had there for completely defeated the purpouse of the arguement. It frustrated her somewhat, and she glared at her paws, no longer watching where she was going. Not the smartest of ideas, but she hadn't nosed anything around her, so she doubted she'd bump into anything as long as she kept moving.
