Every week or so, i or any other member may post a phrase or image that we have to write about. It can be about anything with any pairing and has to have at least one band member in it (duh! xd ) as long as it sticks to the theme of the week, but there is a word limit, usually around 1000, unless it is changed by the prompter (which would probably make it harder...but more fun, me thinks).
Good Luck!
First Prompt: A Thunderstorm (open until 8/10)
Second Prompt: Firsts (open until 8/26)
Third Prompt: Snow (open until 9/1)

OMG...i never thought prompts could be so hard...at least to 1000 words sweatdrop anyway, here it is. Enjoy.
Title: Astraphobia Author: watchdawg77 Rating: PG Characters: Dero/OC A/N: couldn't figure how to end it... sweatdrop Summary: fear of thunderstorms, and how to get over them wink
It was coming, she could tell. The weather was humid and uncomfortable for the last few days. There was bound to be a storm.
When she was younger, nothing scared her more than thunderstorms. And to make matters even worse, her parents were always gone on business trips and such, leaving her by herself most of the time.
As the sky turned dark and the thunder began to rumble, Adalia turned on the small radio on the kitchen counter then decided to seek refuge under the table in the kitchen. She sat quietly, her body tensing for when it finally came. Dero had left an hour ago for groceries but hadn’t returned yet and she was getting worried, she didn’t want him to get stuck in the rain either. So she waited anxiously as the rain pattered loudly against the sidewalk outside.
“a severe storm warning has been issued for the Lower Saxony region…” the voice said from the radio.
“no s**t, you think…” Adalia thought bitterly, as she drew her knees to her chest.
Suddenly, a flash of lightning lit up the sky giving everything a look of negativity. She let out a small anguished cry, clenching her eyes tightly and covering her ears in an attempt to drown out the sights and sounds. She didn’t hear the door open or the voice that asked ‘Are you ok?’ due to the loud clap of thunder that crashed around her.
Dero set his wet leather jacket on the hook near the door and the groceries down on the carpet then made his way to the kitchen table, finding Adalia’s frightened and shaking form under it. He slowly reached down and moved her hands away from her ears then asked again, “are you alright?”
Adalia opened her eyes and stared straight into a pair of worried eyeliner rimmed brown ones. She nodded slowly and whispered, “yeah…just a bit scared I guess.”
“why didn’t you tell me you were scared of thunderstorms.” He asked, extending a hand to help her up.
She looked up sheepishly, taking his hand she replied, “I thought you’d laugh.”
“I’d never laugh at you.” he said, pulling her close as another flash of lightning illuminated the sky, making her whole body shake again. She buried her face into his spicy sweet smelling shirt and held him tighter, as if clinging to him would save her life.
“There’s nothing to be scared of…” he said quietly, rubbing her back in an effort to calm her.
“I know,” she sniffled, “but I’ve just been afraid for so long, I don’t think it’ll ever go away.”
Dero sighed as he placed both hands on the side of her face, forcing her to look at him with tear stained eyes, “I will help you get over this fear, ok?” he said firmly, before kissing her on the top of her head.
Adalia nodded as she wiped her eyes and smiled. “Thank you.”
“Is there anything I can get you?” he asked.
“How about hot chocolate…that usually helps me feel better.”
“Hot chocolate it is then, as long as you sit on the couch and relax.”
“Okay…if you insist.” she chuckled, flopping on the couch.
“oh, I do insist” he retorted with a grin, taking the blanket from the back of the couch, and wrapped it around her, then kissed her hungrily.
Adalia cleared her throat, causing Dero to break the kiss. “how about my hot chocolate first?” she asked.
Dero just nodded, headed off to the kitchen and filled the small teapot with water, humming as he did.
She let out a stifled giggle, and adjusted the blanket, wrapping it tighter around her thin form.
“Which mug would you like?” He called from the kitchen, rummaging through the cupboard.
“Doesn’t matter.” she replied, watching him dance around the small kitchen happily. The water had finally finished boiling and Dero poured it carefully over the powdered chocolate mix, watching the steam spiral out of the cup.
“here you go ma’am.” he said, making his way carefully to the couch handing her a cup that read ‘I hate Mondays.’
“why thank you sir.” she replied, taking the hot cup carefully and sipping the drink gingerly, before setting it on the nearby coffee table. Dero then sat down next to her, placing his hot drink on the coffee table as well. Adalia shifted closer and draped the blanket around his shoulders as well, in an attempt to keep him warm too. Moments later the power was lost and the apartment was plunged into darkness. Dero felt her hand upon his jean clad thigh clench into a fist.
“you’re not scared of the dark are you?” he asked. She shook her head in response, but snuggled closer and wrapped her arms around him.
“were you ever scared of anything growing up?” she asked.
“yeah….um, clowns.” he answered quietly.
“clowns?” she asked, cocking an eyebrow.
Dero nodded, then added “ It all started after I watched the movie IT, there was a clown with the pointy teeth, then a few weeks later my mom brought me to the circus…we sat in the front row, some clown came up to me and asked my name. I freaked out and ran out of there like a bat out of hell… then it went away eventually. No wait they actually are still scary.”
This sent her into a fit of giggles, as she placed her head upon his shoulder. “awww…if you’d like I could help you get rid of that fear.” she said wiggling her eyebrows.
“oh, really?” Dero asked mischievously.
“most definitely.” she said grinning .
“you have to catch me first.” He said tossing the blanket and ran down the hallway, into the bathroom then locked the door.
“oh, I will.” she said jumping off the couch and sprinting towards the locked bathroom, pounding on the door, “let me in.”
Dero unlocked the door and swung the door open, clad only in a pair of boxers, with a grin a mile wide across his face.
‘Perhaps thunderstorms aren’t so bad.’ Adalia thought ‘it should really storm more often.’

Title: Thunder Author: Eisbaer Rating: PG Characters: surprise, just read smile A/N: No stealing wink Summary: Someone's afraid of thunderstorms. ____________________________________
He’d always hated thunderstorms. Ever since he was a little child. Sure, sometimes his friends would come over and play during the storms, but that hadn’t kept him from wanting nothing more than to hide under the bed and wait for it to pass over. He’d always managed to stay out and play before, but tonight’s storm was just terrible. The phones were out, the electricity was out, and he sat on his couch, knees to his chest, in total darkness. When his cell phone rang, he almost jumped through the ceiling it frightened him so much.
“H…Hallo?”
“Hey…you alright over there? Is your power out too?”
“Oh…yeah, yeah I’m in total darkness…”
“Is it the entire city you think?”
“I don’t know…probably. This s-storm is pretty bad.” The clap of thunder made him squeak uneasily. The voice on the other end of the line was very comforting; he could almost hear a smile as it spoke again.
“Do you want me to come over? I don’t mind…I’d rather spend some time with you than sit here all alone.”
“Would you? Please? I…I wouldn’t want to put you out—“
“You wouldn’t be putting me out. I’ll be there soon.”
He sighed, closing the phone and curling back up again until his friend would arrive. Ten minutes later, he’d almost fallen asleep, so the gentle knock on the door frightened him, but woke him up. He made his way sleepily to the door and opened it, feeling immediately comforted when his friend’s face appeared with a flashlight.
“Hey, didn’t I tell you to get a flashlight for times like this?”
“I did…the…batteries ran out.”
“Well then it’s good I showed up then eh?” He said with a grin, taking a few steps inside and closing the door. A particularly loud clap of thunder followed a brilliant flash of light that sent him rocketing into his friend’s arms. He didn’t care if his friend thought he was a sissy or whatever, he was scared. And his friend knew this. He was encircled in a warm hug.
“Shh…it’s just a storm. Don’t worry, you’re not alone.” A kiss was pressed to his cheek and he looked up into those blue eyes. “Robert, don’t be frightened. I’m here, you know that.” Thomas smiled and patted his friend’s bald head.
“Thank you…I know. I just…I’ve never liked thunderstorms.” But as he stood there in his friend’s arms, he was comforted, not frightened anymore. Robert was beginning to think that maybe they weren’t so bad after all.

Title: A Good Father Author: -_gekreuzigt auf dir_- Rating: G Characters: Dero, Annika, son A/N: "Dominik" is not Dero's son's real name. I don't know it, so "Dominik" is used just for this fic. Summary: A thunderstorm prompts Dero to think about his family.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
An enormous clap of thunder shook the house and Dero became aware of two things at once.
The first was of several sharp pricks in his chest as Maggie leaped from him to the floor. The cat (who had now disappeared into the hall) had gotten used to sleeping with Annika in the bed and had refused to give up its spot when Dero had returned for the week. Maggie merely slept on top of him. The second thing he became aware of was a baby wailing.
Annika had also woken up and she lifted her head, looking in the vague direction of the doorway. “Oh, he hates storms…” She made to get up from the bed. Dero wrapped a hand around her bare shoulder and pulled her back down.
“Let me. I’m hardly ever home, nein?” He kissed her cheek. “Läss mich ein Vater zu sein.” She started to protest, something that he needed sleep, he should be exhausted, but he cut her off with another kiss. Dero got up and began searching the floor for his boxers. As he searched through the tangled clothes on the floor, he grinned to himself—oh yes, he was never home enough.
---
The faint glow of the nightlight helped Dero find his way to the light-switch. Dominik blinked at the sudden light, his cries ceasing for a moment. However, he was wailing away again by the time Dero picked his way across the nursery to the crib. Gently, Dero untangled his son from his blanket and picked him up. Dominik’s crying didn’t stop, but the infant got noticeably quieter.
Cradling Dominik to his chest, Dero strolled slowly around the room, stopping before the window. Staring out at the pouring rain, he saw a bolt of lightning farther off. A few seconds later, it was followed by another crack of thunder. Dominik wailed. “Sh, sh….”
Dero envied his wife of her ability to instantly calm their son. He had noticed in the short time of being home that all she had to do was reach out her hand and Dominik would smile. He felt outside of that. The band was only a part of his life, or so he had thought. But once he had gotten married and had a family did he realize how much the band was his life. Dero was so grateful that Annika loved him enough to deal with that, to deal with his touring, his music, his fangirls, his constant absence. But….Dero wanted more than anything to be a good dad. A better dad than his had been. But how could he do that if he was never home?
The silence suddenly hit Dero. Dominik had finally stopped crying. Dero looked down and saw his son with wide eyes. The infant was fascinated with the colorful swirls that splashed across his father’s chest. A small hand traced the color blue, then Dominik laughed and slapped his palm against the red near Dero’s collarbone. Dero laughed himself and held Dominik up so that they were eye to eye.
“Being home doesn’t matter much, I suppose. I love your mother, I love you and that makes me a good father.”
Dominik blinked, grinned, and reached out his hand. Dero smiled, but his smile was soon lost as Dominik grabbed his nose-ring and pulled.
“Ow, OW! Don’t rip Vati’s nose open, ow…”
